Nice music, but the game is a little bit hard to me.
Game was hard, and some of time I did not understand why I hit the obstacle in the first place. Humor is nice, the graphics are very good for a jam game.
This game has a really interesting idea behind it. The 3D pixel art-ish style was done really well and the game felt somewhat alive. I loved the particle effects when getting hit (though I did get stuck in an object and a loop of death). The presentation in this game was amazing for a Ludum Dare entry.
However, the game definitely needs to loosen up on the difficulty. Some of those jumps require seemingly pixel perfect precision since the hitboxes are way to large. It's also difficult to tell what your next obstacle is when the player is covering it. Adding an image to the side of the screen showing the player what the next jump is would alleviate that issue.
Some more balancing and this could be a pretty fun experience.
@arqcenick @call-me-nutty @hdmmy thanks for your feedbacks we're working on a little Update to make the game easier, thanks for playing :)
Its a very creative game, and good take on the theme. The difficulty wasnt a huge problem for me until the level with the two obstacles, issue with the player blocking the view of the obstacle but if you move out of the way to see it then you wont have time to move back to squeeze through. Graphics were nice, its voxel art right. Anyway Good job.
Cool game with interesting mechanics.
I found the limbs a bit hard to control in the web player, maybe it works better in native versions. A bit too hard for a casual LDjam playthrough. I also found it annoying that the player blocks the view if the obstactle - maybe some transparency, a minimap or an outline would have helped. The slowmo thing is nice, but I found it hard to predict movement (de)acceleration during the slowmo phase.
The blocky graphics are well polished and fits well with the setting. However the connection with the theme is a bit weak. Falling out of space? Not enough space for all limbs? I dunno...
Maybe my PC is bad or unity web isnt that great but I couldn't really control my character. But I assume the native versions work like intended. I really like the music and the voxel graphics, as we also used this artstyle.
Woooooow, man, it's a really good one. I like this idea and this sound of broken bones.. braaaaahh. Anyway i add whis to my PC. Very nice work :)
Really nice one! i like the gameplay, maybe you should just display the door in the top of the screen so we can prepare ourselves to the door, actually i play every level twice minimum, the first time to know the door and the others to pass it ! Keep it on !
Nice idea, I didn't like much the controls, I kept trying to drag the limbs into place, but apparently I only had to drag up & down? The artstyle is great, music got kinda repetitive after a while.
On the difficulty... it was HARD, There's not enough time between spawn and the obstacles, so you really had to rush moving the limbs, also it got pretty annoying that you had to fall to the ground/wait in order to restart the level.
Also, nice use of the theme!
Okay I didn't think I was going to like it but I love the crowds reaction to me losing my limbs. Was very funny game and was also fun!
Innovative game. The different phrases when losing are a good detail. Nice touch in humor, specially the "glitch" of stucking on a platform.
The mouse control and the hit detection need a little polishing (at least on WebGL player). I missed a quicker/easier restart button.
I completed all levels!
Awesome idea and great game. But the posing was quite finicky to do and there was way too little time for the harder levels. Also I don't really see the point of the slow down as I was not able to adjust the posing anymore. Furthermore, it was almost impossible to see the pose required from above so the first try was just to get a view of the required shape. But otherwise, nicely done.
The controlls are not that good in my opinion. The idea of doing a pose while falling to different shaped wholes is nice, but due to the controls I don't get the possibility to enjoy more of it :D But overall a good job was done here ;)
Had a nice challenge to it. Enjoyed the graphics and audio. Great job!
I like it very much, but I would like to see the form you have to get additionally on a different part of the screen.
Was a really funny game for me until I reached the 'Nope' Level. I guess it was lvl 6. Than it becames really frustrating. I think the fall speed was a bit too fast or the drag controls too slow. Anyway, the art style is really cool and it it has a lot of humor. :D
It's a nice idea, but gets pretty hard. Would be nice to see the upcoming shape in 2d on your screen.
First didnt get how to rotate, cause nothing happend.. I clicked wrong apperntly. But the dragness was a bit to harsh or not enough time to get used to.. So in my opninion a bit hard to get into. Liked the idea tho!
I really enjoyed this! The game fit the theme well and had solid humor. I think the only issues I had were that rotating the body parts sometimes didn't move the way I wanted and there's not a ton of time for correction. Definitely can think of some fun post-jam ideas I'd implement which is always a sign of something great. I hope you keep working on this and congrats on finishing!
I love the graphics, the humour, the theme.
But it's so hard! I struggled to get past the 3rd level!
@tomg , just to be sure about our modification did you download the 1.0 or 2.0 version? Thanks for playing!
Overall, this is a really fun game. The mouse click detection was a little unforgiving, resulting in lots of missed drags. When you land directly on an obstacle, some weird and gory results can be seen. The gameplay is very unique and the setting is fun.
I'm impressed by your slow motion effect, well done. I find this game really great for setting up the mood since I get very stressed when I'm running out of time to setup my guy to match the hole. Good job!
I had a hard time getting the limbs into the positions I wanted, but also don't really know how it could be done better(beyond like, Kinect or VR). Since you credited someone else with creating the music in this game, I'd suggest opting out of that category out of respect for people who do create all the audio in the time. If I misread your credits please feel free to ignore this suggestion. This is a cool concept and I really like the idea of fitting the body into the spaces.
@aevek Thanks for playing! Don't worry about the music it was exclusively made for this game by our talented friend @gigichef . If you enjoy his music you can also check his others songs here : https://soundcloud.com/user-952441591/tracks .Or you can also play his last ludum dare games here : https://ldjam.com/users/gigichef/games
Played it through. It was a little hard for me, when I hit myself I didn't know where, and didn't know where should I pay attention more, that's why I had to start over the last level like 20 times. But that's great I like challenges ( and raging :) ). And it was so good to hear the final obstacle passing sound. When you start a new level you have almost no chance because you can't see what's beneath you, but that's just part of the game I guess. Poor mustache guy has do die a lot. I could play more with it, more and longer levels with other type of falling figures...
Hey there, i like the idea of this game. But it is way too hard to beat. I cannot pass the third level, not because i am lazy  - it's because the arms and legs just move too slow or i could not select it properly (even in your trailer you couldn't ). My first idea to cope with it is, just let the user select the body part and press a key to adjust it's angle. So it would be way more effective
It is a very nice submission with a lot potential!
Nice game, but it is quite hard, I think the problem is that I dont have time or space to see what position I have to be to go through, so i have to fail a couple of times to know how to enter. It can work this way, but I think it would be better if there is a clearer indicator of the position. Good game overall.
I really enjoyed this submission, as with others it seems had some trouble with the difficulty but I don't necessarily know if it was a problem with the size of the hole in the platforms as much as the controls. A couple things to try if you'd like to revisit this (and I suggest you do because when it works this game is very satisfying) maybe have the camera stay behind the character so you get a dead-on perspective of what kind of shape and placement you're after. When playing on html5 as well I found when I was trying to move limbs I was moving the game around the screen, losing precious time; I don't have any suggestions for that but just something to think about with your control scheme. Thank you for submitting!!
