Why are they so slippery? Did not change the physical material at all?

If you fix it i'll sure rate it good
Beautiful idea! It was great fun to play this game. Got a score of 40. Good job on your entry!
Thanks for your comments!!! no, i didn't change the physical material. I just started out with Unity.
what? A score of 40? Wow. That high the background image probebly isn't even reaching xD
@talia I got a very good seed with almost no round pieces, so I could just build a little brick wall. Also, once you see your tower is beyond saving, you can just quickly click on all the freshly spawned rocks and still get a few points out of them.
It's pretty relaxing to play! I had a couple thoughts on the design: The screen should not move upwards until you release the mouse button. I was positioning a stone when it barely touched the stone beneath, and the screen raised up just before I released the mouse. This made me drop the stone from a few pixels higher and knock over a cairn.

BUGS! I found a bug where you can queue up multiple stones by clicking the most recent stone over and over.
Also I'm not the first person to notice that you can click really fast to cheese some extra points if you see the cairn falling. Not sure how to solve that one.
This is surprisingly fun to play. There are some hickups as described above. These things can ruin your current session and the meditative vibe that comes with the game. However, I think bugfixing and UX polish comes after a jam, so I don't see a reason to judge the game based on that. The concept works great and the game is playable, yet even repeatable. Good work.
Quite meditating ! Simple and addictive :) !
Nice little game!, I like that you can try to fix your rock pile at all times and not only the last rock you added. Great entry!
A nice relaxing game with a good take on the theme. The sound effect of the rocks colliding was at times a bit grating. Overall, a well polished version of this type of game.
you can just keep clicking one rock and get millions of points bit simple
Fun, relaxing game with a few issues. I think you should be able to pan the camera up and down at will, so you can place more stones nearer the bottom at any time, and avoid the issue of it panning up while you're delicately trying to place a stone.
Lovit! Relaxing and you can let your imagination do whatever it wants
Nice very calm mood. I like it
Fun. I love games that give you that meditative feel, and then jolt you with stress as it falls.
Love it. great idea.
Super relaxing :) I like the idea, it fits great with the theme!
It was a lot of fun to experiment with new ways to make the tower as stable as possible. I liked the water color art style and how the game had a sort of isolated feel.
I got score of 24..The game has a very nice relaxing feeling as all comments points out. Maybe add a new feature like I can change the rotation of the store would make things even better! Any way, nice work.
This is relaxing and fun! I wish there was more to do here, but then again - I don't exactly have any idea of what. Seems self contained. Good job!
Nice relaxing game. It would be kind of fun to add more things to stack other than rocks.
Really simple and beautiful! It has some noticiable game breaking bugs. But i really like the simplicity of the idea and how its executed!
such a relaxing game! thank you so much for making it. Now I want to make a vr version...
The fun thing is that several players point at how relaxing they find the game. I, on the other hand, was going mad trying to keep the rocks stable! I think that @andrewjadams description of the experience is exactly on the point: the thing is relaxing while you're doing fine, and then comes a jolt (or, in my case, a container truck) of stress when everything falls.
Anyway, well done! I've read that you recently started with Unity and C#. Well, it's awesome that you made a LD compo game this early :)
Actually good physics, feels like they're heavy and have friction like sandstone! My only criticism is the sound of the rocks. It works except when there's multiple. Perhaps you have the sound attached to a node that makes it multiply to the point of clipping?? When it's just one rock it sounds fine but multiples start to emulate clipping type of distortion. That said congratulations on a unique and thorough game in such a short amount of time!
I would like to thank you all for your great feedback. Yes I started programming in c# about a month ago. Just watched a lot of tutorials. This is my first own game.
Yes, the sound of the stones gets pretty loud and annoying when they fall. I try to change this and also I will fix the bug of multiple stone spawning.

Congratulations for the finishing of your first game! Was funny and I like your rough art style. :D
My highscore is 25. There is a little bug if you throw a stone above the screen. But the physic works well and the game is fun to play and a little addictive !
Fun little game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nsp8m-rrtCY
This was actually really calming. and I felt I had a lot of control with the mouse, well done. I like how there's a bit of freedom as to how you want to build your tower. like one big stack or multiple next to eachoter. I got around 11 and then the calming yet tense athmosphere turned in to sheer panic trying to prevent all the stones from falling off.
Fun game
A few bugs, but we really enjoyed playing this game! Simple concept but still really liked it, kept me occupied and engaged for a good 5 minutes on stream <3
