Good work doing this all on your own and with such little time. I had fun. Made it with 4 seconds left.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD39 → RUN! Before the power runs out!

22 seconds left but took me 4 tries. I almost had it on the first try but I thought the correct door was a dead end >.<
i almost finish the game xD but i lose, nice job
Cool that you used your own technology. The game itself lacks innovation (which is understandable since you made it in 12 hours) but still it was a nice experience.
Pretty cool. I enjoyed playing!
@assoonasimpossible, true about the innovation part. Too bad you can't disable other categories. The premise for the game was basically: "Zombies. Run." and even the zombies got cut in the process (save for a quick mention in text)
That was intense!
I found all the three keys but couldn't find the exit :'(
Anyway, loved your game. Gonna play a few times and try to win. It was really intense :P The sound effects, the camera shake and the background music went beautifully with each other. Good job!
aaaaaargghfhfhfklll indeeed
you've really played with my emotions! You created a great and intense experience, I wish I could play it in VR! Should be awesome
Wow, that was intense!
It was amazing how such a simple concept can get you thrilled.
Innovation – as you already acknowledged – wasn't the thing this game will get the best score, but it needn't – it was tense and fun and that's what it's about.
All in all: **Great game,** thank you for sharing it !
7 seconds before time! I had a fun!
The screen shake, music, and alarm audio all set the tone very well. The left and right arrows killed all forward momentum even if you continued to hold down forward, so I ended up just using the mouse to steer which was fine. Fun little game.
Edit: I was using the arrow keys assuming they worked the same as WASD. Switched to WASD and the controls feel perfect. BTW, I'm using Chrome and haven't noticed any boxes glitch out, if that's helpful at all.
Very fun! You did great at setting the mood of the game. The MEEP MEEP got a bit annoying after awile. Great Job!
Making the game timed was genius - without that, you have nothing. Just not quite enough time to win unless you know exactly where you are going. Makes it a bit unfair the first time you play.
I made it with 00:01 on the timer. I really liked the screen shake. The controls were good and well it was really quite fun game. It would have been nice with something more key-esque instead of green area and if the boxes flew around during shakes. Also if there were horrible sounds coming from the closed doors and such. But escape-games you don't see that often, and I think that is a really nice concept to build games around.
@local-minimum indeed, this game is well suited to expand upon for my prototyping as it has such basic roots but it is quickly engaging.
Thanks all for the comments!
Good atmosphere, but lack of actual zombies really takes the tension away! But I can really identify with just wanting to work on the engine all weekend. :-)
Fun game, the atmosphere work well and the music add a lot to the mood, well done !
very fun , funny music and awesome map...
Superb choice of music, the escaping was very fun!
Neat game. The most impressive part of this is that this is your own game engine, nice work! I didn't make it the first time (not knowing I needed keys the first time), and then made it rather easily the second, but I really liked the heart-pumping background music throughout!
Made it first time with 14 seconds left. You were right, the music really does sell the whole "RUN!! NOW!!!" effect.
Pretty impressive for a few hours on a Monday! I made it first try!
As a demo for your engine it works really well! I wish that you had put some model in for the key instead of having it be a green room. Still, it's simple but effective, and really fun.
That was a fun game, so nice work, congrats !
neat concept kinda short but thats expected i especially liked the music
Fun game, but gets boring really fast.
Gems:
-Great choice of music, and aesthetic was decent.
-Screen shake added immersive-ness to the game
Potential improvements:
-More functionality for the boxes. Power ups/Obstacles?
-An actual key instead of a green room. Though a button/pressure plate would work better considering the doors you used aren't doors requiring keys.
-Something else to do. Be it avoiding zombies, or a sprint button and you tire out. Right now it's really plain.
That said, for a game made in 12hrs, still a really good job.
it was a very good game but i didn't really see the theme and the time limit is not very forgiving
@terryg, the theme is mostly there in terms of the building metaphorically running out of power, which causes the flickering lights and general unsteadiness of the place, but indeed I do not foresee high marks in that section.
ah. got it
It was pretty fun to play! Thanks!
For a game made in 12 hours, it is remarkably enjoyable! I think the fact the the game is lacking in polish (except when creating your atmosphere) and graphics or even a vast amount of gameplay but is still so fun to play shows you've got a good understanding of how to make a game enjoyable! Good show! I'd love to see what kind of game you can make in 48 or even 72 hours!
Fantastic job on creating a tense atmosphere. The game itself is really simple, but given your limited time it's impressive that you managed to make it this enjoyable. I think your take on the theme is also one I haven't seen in many other entries, so I'll give you some points for that as well. And you said you made the game engine yourself? Splendid work!
