Hi and congrats on releasing. I liked the concept of your game and it was fun for the first 2 or 3 levels, but it didn't seem to get any more difficult after that so the challenge quickly goes away. One little polish thing is that as soon as the player completes the puzzle you should disable the controls so that you can't keep moving them around, right now you might be clicking around and trigger the win without even realizing it and then it quickly disconnects even though you still won because you clicked again.

joe-miller 2017-07-31 22:53

really cool idea combining the slider puzzle with the "pipe dream" mechanic. Only critique I have is I might be clicking too fast, but the sliding felt a little sticky, like a stutter sometimes, or having to click multiple times to get the piece to move.

thelukker 2017-07-31 22:54

Good game. But I'm saying the same thing as morphine.

samuli-salonen 2017-07-31 22:54

Cool game, very simple, maybe even too simple? fits the theme though!

peremily 2017-07-31 23:19

I liked the concept, although I thought it could've felt a little snappier

mrserp 2017-07-31 23:48

I liked the game overall, like I could see myself playing it as a mobile time killer, for sure. The controls could have been a little more responsive, but that's really my only gripe. Good job!

thorneto 2017-07-31 23:53

I was never great at these kinds of puzzles but its nice that it seems like there is multiple ways to complete it. Sometimes when the puzzle would shuffle itself it would start out already solved but other than that it seemed to work nicely. Reminded me of final fantasy puzzles or something.

devorc 2017-07-31 23:58

Cool Game! I am not sure if know this but sometimes the levels are already connected without having to move them! Other than that minor bug, the game is sweet!:grinning::grinning::grinning:

mikronaut 2017-08-01 00:49

Beyond what others said, the counter is slightly off and give a longer time by about 2 seconds. Otherwise, nice game.

acoto87 2017-08-01 05:16

Nice game! A little easy sometimes, but fun to play.

lloyd-angifer 2017-08-01 13:27

Simple game but good game !

agecaf 2017-08-01 14:09

I like the idea. Unfortunately, sometimes an impossible level is created (not enough horizontally traversing tiles), so a "reset level" button might have been useful for jumping that. Sometimes RNG gives a very easy one, sometimes an impossible one, but it does churn out some very interesting ones, and deciding that a level is impossible is interesting in itself. Good job!

Really cool idea. I think Quill18 had a similar take on this LD. My only suggestion would be to add music. Even if you have to opt out of that category because i think it will greatly improve the feeling of the game. Congrats on the compo!

kunonooni 2017-08-02 01:14

Not a bad little game. I love doing sliding puzzles and I really enjoyed playing this one. trying to beat my previous time. My best was 5 seconds, but I think that had something to do with the layout I was given. I won't reiterate what others have said, but I do agree with them. Congrats on finishing and submitting your third LD game!

obidubi 2017-08-02 05:46

This was a really cool idea for a game. The graphics were very good and the mechanics worked well. I liked the jigsaw slide puzzle idea and it seemed to work well with minimal bugs. One thing I will point out is that some of the puzzles I was given were already solved right from the start, so it might be a good idea to have the game check the puzzle to make sure it is solvable and not already solved before showing it to the player. Overall, good job!

snowy 2017-08-02 11:46

Though I hate slider puzzles (with such passion, you don't even know...), I didn't really mind this game too much (which is a good thing).

The mechanics worked, but I encountered a few times where power wouldn't flow through the tiles even though they're clearly connected to the source. The graphics were good, definitely fitting for this type of game (and I do love myself some simple, adorable graphics).

Feel like the game could've benefited from some music, but 48h isn't a long time, so I don't really mind the absence of it.

Anyway, you did a good job on this overall!

thelord 2017-08-02 16:33

Cool game! Took me a little while to figure out what you had to do though.

spacesparkle 2017-08-03 10:35

Not bad, although sliding puzzles are not my thing. It's nice that levels are randomly generated but it brings many problems. The difficulty is all over the place and not really increasing with time. Sometimes I even start a level that's already complete! The algorithm which generates the puzzles could use some work but other than that everything works very well.

everythingwasbees 2017-08-03 19:30

A decent game. I agree with the other comments that the level generator could use some work. One bug that I occasionally ran into is that the game didn't register completion, and I had to move an extra tile sometimes to get it to work. I like the idea quite a bit though.

quantumzen 2017-08-04 08:03

Fun little game. Count moves would add to the challenge. Good there's no time limit - I find these annoying and unnecessary.

Sometimes level randomises solved already :) This is not to be resolved in LD time limit, probably though. Pieces are movable even when level successful.

theflyingkeyboard 2017-08-04 17:04

Really fun little game, idea is simple and nice. There might be too little time for each puzzle, but game is still fun. Good Job!

gilborn 2017-08-04 19:10

Your Link to the instructions didn“t work. But fortunatelly, your little fun game is self explaining. Niche entry!

danielilett 2017-08-04 20:10

I do like this game. The graphical style is a little basic but works well, and with a little refinement I think this game could be made quite pretty.

-Once or twice, the game gave me a level that was already complete, or needed only one move to complete. To mirror what others have said, the level generator needs a little work.

-Every level I had was solvable by making a straight line between the start and end. I'd have liked more interesting puzzles where I was required to make a weaving line around the level.

-A great next step would be to implement 4x4, 5x5 etc levels. Having a larger grid gives you much more leeway with the level generation.

-As already noted, the controls are a little unresponsive. If I click on a tile quickly after clicking the last one, it won't move.

-An animation and sound effect when a tile moves into place would be cool, although as someone who doesn't make many sounds myself, I know how daunting that can be!

-If you do implement larger and more complex levels, maybe change the colour scheme a bit for each difficulty tier? Some variation in the visuals keeps things from getting a bit samey.

-Completely empty tiles with no "pipes" would allow for more interesting puzzles.

-Thankfully, I never came across an impossible puzzle.

It's a good entry and a solid idea, but the level generation algorithm needs a little more work. The rest of the game is constructed well and is highly accessible due to the simplicity of the mechanics.

wizard-exe 2017-08-04 20:23

Game is fun and easy to get into. Ran into a couple times where the level started already solved. Also the difficulty never really changes, would be great if later levels would start to get larger grids and maybe mix things up by having some pieces stuck in place or something. The theme was relevant but not really innovative, would be cool to see you work it in more to the mechanics of the game. Great idea though!

nyri0 2017-08-04 20:56

Good idea but there are still many bugs: spawnwin, win when you shouldn't, don't win when you should (cf picture) bug_power.png

jimbly 2017-08-07 05:35

Good idea, but it seemed every level I could beat by forming the trivial straight line across the middle, which made for very uninteresting gameplay. If all tiles had only 2 connections (and in and an out), would be much more challenging, or perhaps if you needed to pass power through all tiles. I liked that the interface was snappy and responsive, although did sometimes seem to think I had power connected when I did not and vice versa.

gonutz 2017-08-08 22:12

This is really strange, your random number generator makes me win 2 out of 3 games instantly. Also the rules are not clear, there are 4 things, 2 blue circles and 2 green power bars. I don't know what must be connected to what but it seems to me that only the blue things need a connection. Is that right? What a weird concept.

There was no music and the graphics were simple but not bad, kind of Tron-like.

galaxstudios 2017-08-19 07:55

Good game. Keep it up!
