Really cool game. Art style is awesome. I like the simple design and the levels that breadcrumb new ideas. It looks like in a couple levels I didn't actually need to get keys to get the carrot out of the cage, which was a bit weird. The SFX are loud and get grating, I had to turn my volume down 90% to play - perhaps consider modulating the square or sawtooth waveform you used a bit to soften the sound?
I wasn't able to beat it, although I wanted to. I found that I really enjoyed the jump timing puzzles and playing with the gravity around corners. However, The red level with the giant gap above you frustrated me enough to make me stop, as I kept fighting the awkward conservation of momentum the game has in my fight to gain height. Even timing all my jumps well, going around corners would often rob me of all my gains in an unpredictable fashion.
Thanks for the feedback! I did notice at least one bugged cage that doesn't require a key myself but only after the time was up for submissions. And since it's not a game breaking bug, guess I can't fix it.
You almost made it to the end ;)
The concept of this game is pretty solid (only seen one other person implement it) however I had an issue with the controls and their difficulty. Getting more height on a jump is far too frame perfect and ultimately I left the game more frustrated than satisfied. I feel this game could be WAY better if you simply buffered input so that it wasn't so frame perfect to get a higher jump.

The bunny physics are a bit frustrating, it feels like most of the levels rely on being able to time the jumps correctly. I like the idea, though, and the graphics are nice. I hope you continue working on this!
I really like the graphics and the puzzle mechanics in the game. Although jumping did feel a little bit frustrating, this is a great game overall.
I love the concept (it's funny, I made a platformer about a rabbit eating carrots for this LD too)! Using your momentum to launch yourself between different gravitational center-points is clever. I like the simple art style, and the animations are a really nice touch (love the weird nervous energy the rabbit has).
Unfortunately, the controls are a little tough to figure out. It took me a while to understand that I could time my jumps to go higher than the first level of jumping, but even when I DID figure it out I usually wasn't able to time it right. I guess it requires too much precision, but a lot of times it just felt like my input wasn't even registering. On top of that, the side-to-side hopping is way too inconsistent to allow for much accurate platforming, and it's too slow to let me quickly reset and try again when I miss a jump. Difficulty is fine as long as there's minimal friction between failing and trying again.
Cool little game, I do really like playing around with the physics of the puzzles and making difficult jump. Reminds me of a 2D version of Kula World.
The normal 'walking' speed is way too slow to be enjoyable though, which makes some sections much more tedious than they should. Graphics and sound effects are good, it'd be nice with som fun music as well!
Couldn't agree more with you @neontropic on the music bit but I'm completely useless when it comes to music. I've been planning on trying to teach myself some kind of very basic grasp of doing music stuff but haven't gotten around to it yet. Would help a lot on jams.
The slow walk was kind of a design choice, encouraging jumping more which will then lead to accidental hilarious oribitings and flying to wrong planets. And I figured there weren't that big distances to traverse anyway.
Interesting (if occasionally annoying) take on microplanets and Mario Galaxy style gravity madness. Nice graphics.
Felt a bit slow and dependent on random chance to beat some levels, and I got stuck on the first one featuring snowy terrain (couldn't get back up on the platforms), but a neat idea none-the-less.
Would benefit from some quiet ambience and less lowfi sounds. Nice work, though!

Art style is awesome, made me laugh. A little frustarting but great entry good job :)
Very nice art and interesting mechanics. The controls felt a bit wonky sometimes and the normal walking speed is very slow, but it's a very interesting game (and there are lot of interesting levels). Well done! :)
Love the art style! Fun game too! I found it a little difficult to just move around when not jumping, so much so it became frustrating to move just a few millimeters (or whatnot). And, the jump timing seemed difficult to get the hang out. Otherwise, great job!! =)

Great game. Great art and concept. left and right movement can be a little faster. Great job!!

Not entirely sure if it's a rabbit or a sheep, am very confused. Either way, the idea is pretty good, the graphics and sounds are nice but the levels were a bit too easy.
@kepons wait WHAT!? Everyone else says it is too hard? And it's a bunny, I though the ears and the whole carrot thing would be a dead giveaway.

I did not get how the jumping mechanic is supposed to work. Sometimes i jumped really high, sometimes i lost all my momentum, it was very unpredictable. Which is sad, because the game looks really good and i like the dumb expression of the rabbit face and its eating animation very much. :D The sound were a bit annoying after a short time. I stopped playing at a red level.

LOUD NOISES!! Hehehe. Had a lot of fun playing this, a simple concept and a simple game, very well executed. Loved the artwork. My only criticisms would be the volume of the sounds - i ended up muting it but i had my own problems with sound in my game so i know the woes! And the speed of general movement felt a bit slow and janky. But those are minor quibbles - for a game jam and the limitations that come with that, this is a great little puzzle game.
Great job!
P.S had an oddball error happen on level 2 where the level spawned and the rabbit pinged off screen. I could hear the noise of moving left and right but could get it to come back on screen. Restarted the game and all was fine, didnt happen again.
I agree with many above, it took a bit to understand the physics involved and timing jumps and direction to take advantage was a bit. Plus, a few times I jumped out of the game space without realizing I could - only when my bunny of level 2 the game orbiting around did I realize what was happening. Overall a fun little game.
Very cool game ! The controls are a little bit hard to get, but the game is overall very well polished :)
Good job !
It is definitely like a fever dream :D Like others have said the physics of the jumping is really confusing. Sometimes it jumped when touching the ground, sometimes it didn't, sometimes it jumped in the air, sometimes it didn't, the jump heights were all random, sometimes when going round a corner you'd just fall back where you came from. I can only think that You used some sort of weird 2Dphysics setup to calculate the jumps :D
As I was writing this I went back to the game and discovered that you can do plops if you hold down the down arrow XD. This game just went up in my estimates. If I mash the jump key I can sort of hover just above the ground without ever losing sideways momentum, and then poop in order to give myself velocity and start orbiting somewhat. However I always fail to mash space efficiently enough and fall down before I can make that ludicrous jump!
I'm afraid to say tried my best but I couldn't finish your game!
I really like the graphics by the way. The square space bunny design is :ok_hand:
Our game is over here if you'd like to try it https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/e-at
I love this take on the theme!
I Played this on Livestream today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YtyZ8Rudok
I think the controller was not totally explicit with how gravity affected the character, I wish there was a little more consistency and perhaps some user feedback with how my actions were affecting what was going on onscreen. I loved the animation, the face it made while eating will haunt my dreams. Good submission overall, solid construction.
To everyone confused about jumping physics
It's quite simple really but just way too strict on timing right now. The bunny is a bit bouncy so when you jump right after hitting the ground, the bounce momentum increases your jump height. And vice versa, if you jump at the wrong time, you kill all the momentum and will do a small jump. **Just a classic story of me getting used to timing the jumps correctly myself so it ended up being way too hard for others.**
@occultone I tried fipping the controls when upside down but it didn't quite work. I know it feels weird but all the other options were worse. At least now you can hold down one direction and keep circling around the planet. And hey, if you tilt your head so that the bunny is upright, the controls always match the movement direction.
@brotherst glad to see someone notice the pooping feature! And to think that you also discovered a use for it, as some kind of poop propelling hovering machine. None of that was intentional at all. The pooping was added just for fun, had no idea it could actually be used for something. Probably could have spent that time on something more useful but hey, at least you liked it. And there is bound to be more juvenile people like us.
@nathan and @unclechris seen that bug happen few times post jam. I still have no idea what could be causing it. And the weird thing is that the bunny is colliding with something out there even when nothing is supposed to be there. Cause normally if you go 5 seconds without touching the ground, a message would appear showing that you can reset the level with R (added in case of launching oneself to orbit permanently).
It's super funny seeing that everyone has their own interpretation of the character expression (and even species). Exactly why I love going for the semi-abstract designs...
I like the idea, but the controls felt very unreliable. The bouncy walking was pretty erratic, it felt like the distance between hops kept changing randomly, which made the strict timing of the high jump even stricter. The game also didn't seem to be very fond of high jumps going around world corners, as the gravity kept glitching, sometimes throwing me in the opposite direction when i did that. Still, solid entry, nice work!

Jumping is pretty tricky, but that doesn't sound like it's not already been covered so just gotta say it was absolutely perfect in it's sweet, cute, awesome bunniness... until I held the down arrow. Then it just got so, so much better. I swear it was a full 5 minutes before I did anything else. Brilliant game, absolutely hilarious and really well put together, really well done.

Beat it! Interesting concept with the jumping! The art style was clean and polished, and the physics felt good. I like that it's particular, but it was really hard to judge how high you would jump. My general strategy was once the legs touch the ground and to be moving side to side a bit. I think it could probably benefit from additional feedback - for example if dust clouds appeared right when you landed so it was more clear when you could immediately jump again. A UI/meter with how high you would jump at the moment would even work and reinforce that the controls are supposed to be particular. Nice job!
Was fun to play. I really love the animations of the rabbit. First, I didn't knew how to jump higher, but figured it out. Also like the gravity mechanic. Nice game!

Huh. I liked the level design, but ultimately I'm in the "couldn't understand the jump physics" camp. The art style is very nice. It's cohesive, distinctive, and cute. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the soundscape, which was cute for about five seconds and then became obnoxious. Also, the player's horizontal movement felt too slow, especially when a level asked me to walk all the way around one of the blocks. I like the environment variety and the carrot-eating animations. Nice work!
