Oct 17 05:59:21 Claude castle ♥ 2 Is this a placeholder? Or are you for real? ๐Ÿ˜…
Oct 19 05:58:19 47h 58m Oops! No Floor! ♥ 1 Looks awesome! Is your player character compatible with minecraft skins? ๐Ÿ˜‡
Oct 20 15:23:22 33h 25m emailrpg.com ♥ 1 Hi, I hope this 'email' finds you well :-) I played your game a bit and I think I got the overall idea of it. The technical implementation is awesome I think, did you register that domain just for this game? It seems to work pretty good. I tried to sign my emails with my name, but the system did not like that when I needed to give direct commands ๐Ÿ˜ There were other people on the island, are those NPC's? Or real LDers? I tried to say Hi, but did not really know how to do that yet. After a while I found the gameplay to a bit stale to be honest. However, the game is so much more fun than I was prepaired for! Love, Wouter52 P.S: I just got a late reply from one of the commands that seemed to be lost in the system. (received around 17:17 CET)
Oct 20 15:39:43 16m 21s Game & Roots Two-Flavor ♥ 1 Played both games, as jawdan said: crazy that you made two games! And as you said: some bleeps and bloops would have been great. It gives some extra feedback to the player. It's like magic, like adding salt to your dishes ๐Ÿ˜ My advise: take time next time to add them. As for the gameplay, is there a difficulty curve in there? It did not seem to speed up. So the gameplay became a bit stale after a while to me. Sorry if that sounds a bit harsh. The design is great btw! It really felt like one of those LCD games from back in the day. I think you did a great job with that.
Oct 20 17:07:14 1h 27m Troll the King ♥ 3 This game is very well done! I love the little details in the background to indicate incoming pigeons and attacks. The art and music is top notch, as always. At one point, fresh letters to pick words from stopped coming in, is there a max amount of letters? And as a programmer I have to ask: how did you determine the rudeness of the new letters? Were the words weighted? Or was there some LLM API in the background? Or something else? I'd really like a technical explaination, like you did [here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/58/cut-to-pieces/cut-to-pieces-post-mortem) Btw, congratz on releasing cut to pieces to steam! โค๏ธ
Oct 20 17:19:06 11m 52s Road Rage ♥ 2 What a fun game, I really love the emersion here. It really felt like playing two games at the same time. I think its a smart design choice to make the racegame "unfailable". Love the art too, was it hand drawn on a drawing tablet?
Oct 20 17:30:50 11m 44s Rail Switcher ♥ 1 Fun game! As always :-) First I found it a bit too slow, but later I was thankful as each train entering the screen sent me into a small panic trying to get all the switches to the right positions. I think, however, that a hardmode would have been cool where there are 4 or 5 trains on the screen at the same time, just for people who want to torture themselves ๐Ÿ˜† Some trains seemed to skip / speed up at random points, that threw me off guard to be honest. Also, I didn't know what the icons on the top of the screen meant until way later. I think it's clever design, but users like me aren't always that clever to understand ๐Ÿ˜‡ I had fun playing yours Edit: I like your "features cut for time" section here on the LD page, some of those features sound fun! Maybe there is room for a post-LD version later on?
Oct 20 18:04:12 33m 22s A Tribute to Father ♥ 1 Hi, do I understand correctly that your father passed away? In that case: I'm sorry for your loss Three games in one LD entry is impressive, even if an LLM is involved. I used an LLM myself to fix some calculations in my code and ended up wasting several hours resulting in me just giving up and rewriting those functions from scratch. It isn't that simple as people think if large parts of the code base are already developed. Then it is an art to shoehorn LLM-code in there I think ๐Ÿ˜ Enough about AI, I think you already knew: the games themselves weren't *that* special. They were just clones from the originals. I had most fun with XONIX, I didn't know that game yet, so it felt new to me. Maybe you could have made alterations to the games you implemented and sell it as "the mandela effect"? I had fun playing with the computer itself, at one point I found out you can actually use the on-screen keyboard ๐Ÿ˜„
Oct 20 19:44:02 1h 39m RAM256 ♥ 2 Oh that became chaotic very fast haha, but I loved it! I did not get the reference why there where sheep on the screen though? Is that some pop-culture I'm not familiar with? The leaderboard got some crazy scores btw, people really seem to enjoy this one ๐Ÿ˜„ Btw, congratz on your first LD entry! How was the weekend? Hopefully not too stressful?
Oct 21 09:15:08 13h 31m Forgotten Tech ♥ 0 First I was like "how is that not?!" and then I noticed ๐Ÿ˜ So this game makes the player feel very smart, I think you did a great job with that. I was expecting another level, but I can imagine that the novalty wears off after the first one, so I think it is a wise decision to keep this one sweet and short. After refreshing the page, I tried "the thing" again (keeping this vague) and it worked. No idea if that was intended, but I think it's neat I wish there was a "reload" button, because I messed up several times. Also, like brimstone said: it was a bit confusing at first that the tiles stopped coming Screenshot_20261021_111045.png
Oct 21 09:33:52 18m 44s Teteria ♥ 1 Oh this one's got that kantiny vibe , really love the art style! I was wondering if the plant choice would affect things, so I played the first level several times (I like to pick apart games, sorry hihi) At the 'create spell minigame' I first though I needed to keep between the lines, so I was super careful. Then after half the spell I found out it has got some virtual guard rails, which made it much easier. I'm a bit divided which version I found more fun to play though ๐Ÿค” _(just thinking out loud here) Maybe the player could mess up and the spell will do something aweful? But then the whole cozy vibe would be shattered and then it would become cozy horror_ ๐Ÿค” ... I think you made the right choice here ๐Ÿ˜ Edit: now I remember! You actually did it! You included Spanish! ๐Ÿ˜„
Oct 21 10:39:55 1h 06m Rick O. Shay's Revenge ♥ 1 Oh my, that is complex to divide your attention to two separate screens, with two separate objectives, controlled by two separate control schemes ๐Ÿ˜… It was fun though, I had a smile on your face playing it! First time I got hit 103 times, second time only 2 times! (second run I found out about the WSDA controls) Sound effects would have done wonders here I think. You do have sounds in there for hitting the bottles, so you know how it works I can imagine. I see sound effects like adding salt to your dishes: it will be so much better! It kindof a hack I think. Some simple bleeps and bloops give so much feedback to the player
Oct 21 10:56:45 16m 50s BEEP. SORT. REPEAT ♥ 1 I like this game, the graphics and music seem to fit the vibe pretty well. One pet-peeve though, the phone and shredder were a bit blurry, whereas all the other assets were crystalclear I had fun sorting the different kinds of media, I like the variations, so no floppy or cassette was the same. I played it multiple times, because the first time the "special cassette" (keeping things vague) was the second one to pop up, thus robbing me of the third level experience I felt. I can see that the different kinds of media are randomly given to the player, but maybe the "special cassette" could have been an exception, always showing up as the 8th, 9th or 10th or something
Oct 21 11:19:38 22m 53s The Island ♥ 1 Jumped out of my seat the first time I hit a mine haha So good news! This thing even runs on Linux when executed with WINE. I pasted the console output [here](https://pastebin.com/H0d9cd1v) if you're interested. It seemed to work flawlessly. One tiny thing I found is that the green intro text on the main menu was cut off from the left. No idea if that is also there in Windows. Love the fact that you took Sputnik out for a spin. I was impressed by the graphics it (and you) produced. First I though the big tower was one of the antennas, until I found out it was the only one on the island. Also, is it possible that there are 8 antenna's? When I replayed again to look inside the tower and to explore a bit, I can swear that I found one I haven't visited in the first run yet. Or is it randomized? ==== Here's some PC info: Operating System: Kubuntu 26.04 LTS KDE Plasma Version: 6.6.6 Kernel Version: 7.0.0-38-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 ร— Intelยฎ Coreโ„ข i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (31,2 GiB usable) Graphics Processor 1: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Graphics Processor 2: Intelยฎ UHD Graphics 630 Manufacturer: Dell Inc. Product Name: Precision 3630 Tower
Oct 21 13:18:39 1h 59m Allu-Metz ♥ 0 Oh, having to pick up the phone before dialing makes sense once you know. I felt a bit dumb at the beginning, as the main menu teaches that mechanic, but without picking up the phone I like the detail where hanging up on guests gives negative points. I would be pissed too haha
Oct 21 13:46:42 28m 03s Blokia Designer ♥ 1 I'm always blown away with how much you can do in 72 hours! A complete phone designer with a userinterface that actually works as expected, slappin' background music with media player and a complete marketing system-mechanic and so much emails that are not there for the progression of the game, but are there just for fun and vibes?! I mean.. How??? I love it. Although, after two phones my time was up and I needed to think about this feedback. A view nitpicks I think: - For the first phone I was asked to guard progress, which meant "skip round" I think. Only later rounds those turns can be used for research and such. - In the Wizard, you can use checkboxes to select between Business, Teens and Seniors. I would have expected radiobuttons instead for the functionality you're going with there - Some icons would have been nice, like pick up phone, hang up phone, some arrows, some other icons like "iMode" or something ๐Ÿ˜ Also, I love the alternative names for all the brand names haha I had fun playing yours, keep up the great work ==== My first phone Screenshot_20261021_153329.png ==== Edit: there is a freakin' "continue" option?! Mind blown haha, ok I'm playing this at a later point more seriously I decided ๐Ÿ˜
Oct 21 14:04:41 17m 59s Semaphore ♥ 0 Had fun playing yours, I'm not really good at it though haha The levers on the far left and right didn't look like levers to me. The middle ones did, so I was confused all the time. I like the little thumbs up, like you're saying "this signal is the right one!"
Oct 21 14:16:14 11m 33s Switchboard Operator ♥ 1 Oh my this became chaotic very fast, I had a big smile on my face playing your entry. Glad you uploaded it! I knew about pico8 and tc80, but picotron is also a thing? Is that one new? It was a bit hard to see which tickets were dealt with once they 'collapsed' to the right of the screen. Other than that I think this was designed very well
Oct 21 14:41:42 25m 28s Outmoded ♥ 0 Congratz on your first LD-entry! This is a novel with some very well executed graphical effects on top of it. I'm don't really like reading, so I haven't played it all the way until the end. But I do like the effect and I would love to know how you pulled it off ๐Ÿ˜„
Oct 21 14:43:46 2m 04s OadText ♥ 1 Oh my that was so cool! I had the honor to see it from Lizz's perspective. How did you do that?! I mean, there has to be some sort of server running in the background, right? Edit: we just found out there are actual games to play. We were just mesmerized by the community-feature and left the page afterwards. So the pyramids ARE built by aliens! Edit2: I like how the keyboard can be used too, as I'm not using a smartphone since a few years now. So no QR code scanning for me
Oct 21 20:45:33 6h 01m The Final Claw ♥ 0 I had to stop myself from playing this for hours ๐Ÿ˜ The music slaps and the game is pretty addictive in a good way. It really reminded me of that game where you dig for gold. I think it is some collective memory of our generation I don't really have constructive feedback to be honest, this is just a good game and you two should be proud ๐Ÿ˜„
Oct 22 20:30:21 23h 44m Iconworld Doctor ♥ 1 Ok, I didn't feel well today. Wanted to rate lots of games, but could not get myself to do that. Then I remembered your game, which I started yesterday. I wanted to take time and now was the perfect time to play for a while. I managed to finish your game! There were some head scrathers haha I'm always impressed by the 'solid feel' your games have. It just works, and there are lots of diffrent levels with relatively simple rules. I don't know how you do that, and one day I would love to create something as genious as your puzzle games. From the first day I saw the cute graphics I wanted to play it so badly ๐Ÿ˜ The wallpapers were a nice touch too! I don't have any constructive feedback sadly. This was just a damn good puzzle game. Keep up the great work! โค๏ธ Screenshot at 2026-10-22 22-21-47.png
Oct 23 19:05:14 22h 34m Ghost Train ♥ 1 Yay what a fun game this was! As stated last time, I love the CRT effect. So kudo's for graphics I guess ^^ I like the 'learn as you go' method of teaching the player what to do. The jumps were a bit brutal at times, and oh gosh that second to last level I almost gave up haha. Not that the puzzle was hard, but just pure skill issue. That's something I also like: its a puzzle/skill/strategy game I feel. Going along certain paths can make it easier as the monsters will do the same thing. Which can be very useful I enjoyed yours โค๏ธ Screenshot_20261023_210156.png
Oct 23 19:25:04 19m 50s WinMines95 ♥ 0 Ayy, congratz on your first LD enrty! To be honest, I was confused too, a simple jingle when 20K was reached would have been enough I think. You already know how to do bleeps-and-bloops, so an extra sound effect could have been doable, right? I like the game once I understood what to do :-) Having minesweeper with completely different rules threw me a bit off guard, but it did work! A cool feature could have been to add extra mines once the stakes got higher ๐Ÿ˜† I know that this is a gambling game, but it did feel a bit off that I did not really have strategic input in the whole ordeal
Oct 23 19:47:32 22m 28s Merry & Bright & CRI โ‰ฅ 95 ♥ 1 Love the game, unfortunately I sucked a bit haha. So I could not get the second half finished. This is a big nod to Technology Connections and I love that. The guy has some great videos and I almost also shared a link on my LD page of him explaining CRT's. I can just hear him say it _"garish blue LEDs"_ Can't wait for this years installment of "guy yells at blue LEDS for 20 minutes" ๐Ÿ˜ Clever puzzle game though, I love the graphics and I like how the puzzles are connected. I think it fits the premise of the game pretty well
Oct 24 18:03:58 22h 16m House of Deprecation ♥ 1 Oh my, I had to recover from that. I won though! ๐Ÿ˜… Normally I don't play horror games and I get easily startled. Your game was effective and pretty scary to play for the first three rounds. I died easily to Jane. Then I knew what to expect and the game became a hunting game for small objects. I really needed to concentrate to find the solution to the clock. It felt a bit like finding a needle in a haystack. Then, when I thought I finished the game, I was startled again and scrambled to figure out the last puzzle. I'm glad that you did not give up the jam and pushed through, because I (and most likely others) had a fun time playing this horror/escaperoom game Some points of feedback I came up with: - Jane's animation was stuck into screaming position after the big scream when the grandfather clock was wound up. I don't know if that was intentional. - When I died after spinning up the record player, the vinyl was back in it's spot and I could not pick it up again. I did not know if the player still playing was the bug, or that the vinyl being in the wrong spot was the bug - Some fences near the stair cases would have made sense, as those stairs cannot be entered - In the study room there is a little no-clip spot at the back - If you miss the text describing the last puzzle, you can't know what to do - I like how you trust the intelligence of the player, not over explaining everything - I like the spatial audio effects - I like how the guy explains not being a thread, describing Jane IS the thread and then hearing the "I SEE YOU" + Screaming. I almost fell off my chair haha I like @nickogino 's feedback and I totally agree: _The hint system is particularly elegant. The ghost tells you what the house is missing through memories, so the narrative and gameplay fit together really naturally. At first, you might mistake those lines for flavour text, only to realise that they actually guide what you need to do. I really enjoyed that connection._
Oct 24 19:30:16 1h 26m defrag.exe ♥ 0 I really dig the visual styling! Especially the version on TIC-80 website. The one on itch you need to enable CRT effect to get the same effect :) The icons are visually very cool and an eye catcher, they're different enough to tell them apart. I sadly had the same kinda glitch andriybyelikov had. So I couldn't continue into sector 4. At first I was a bit confused, I did not understand that a file could travel more tiles when similar pieces were connected. Maybe a visual indicator could have been nice, so players can find out more easily
