Cute game, nice experience pixel art is really clean.
Cool take on Sokoban with the windows. Having been playing a ton of Order of the Sinking Star good to see some new sokoban mechanics. Good graphics. Well done.
Another cassowary banger... this might be my new favorite! The presentation is so slick and on point! Congrats!!!
Sokoban with the mechanics of managing windows on a desktop tickles my brain. Iconworld Doctor's aesthetic brings me right back to the early days of owning a computer and with it brings a rather alarming number of viruses.
I'm not gonna mince words here, I am garbo at Sokoban games, but here I felt I had more of a fighting chance because of moving around windows and I really click with what it puts down. The undo feature is *greatly* appreciated, especially with the harder puzzles. Also, gotta mention that I love win9x icons and you got the look of them down. Love my computer friend with shoes.
"All photo backgrounds in this game were taken by me using an old digital camera during the time period of the jam" Thank you for sharing this fun fact about the production the game! I was wondering where they came from heh.
Wonderful! I started playing last night but got so stuck on level 13 that I had to set it down and come back later with fresh eyes to finish. Compared to other Sokoban-likes, I spent less time thinking through my moves and more time jiggling things around and hoping it'd work out, but I don't know whether that's a function of the ruleset or of my as-yet underdeveloped sense of how the layerable windows interact with other objects.
The click handlers on the checkboxes and radio buttons were a nice touch :D
fun idea and I love vibe of the old windows!
Lovely presentation and some genuinely interesting new ideas in sokoban, at least for me! I only managed to get to level 10 in the 30 mins I played for, they were definitely getting fairly challenging at that point, but always with an obvious intended solution when you find it, not requiring a ton of moves. I always appreciate a solution that is non-trivial but only takes a couple handfuls of moves. Well done!!
absolutely amazing game. 5/5
@cassowary, if you want to improve the game, I guess it might be a good idea to make the main character able to walk through windows where tutorial tips are, right on top of the text. but its no more than a tiny suggestion. thanks for the game!
Very nice puzzle-adventure with a neat gimmick.
I didn't count at what point I got stuck but I'll probably return to finish it later!
Cheers!

The way the puzzles force you to think about the entire desktop setup, rather than just one screen, is genuinely clever. The transitions between windows create a unique feeling of solving the whole system. Great concept!
@zevwax I wanted to do it, but I added them very late after I'd already finished making the puzzles, so I just made them non-walkable so I wouldn't have to worry about them messing up the solution. If I was working with a longer time period I definitely would've made them walkable and incorporated them into the puzzles themselves, lol.
Geez, I loved our little guy with his little legs! Sokoban puzzles are not my thing usually, but I quite liked this one. It's unique and not annoying, and puzzles themselves are actually cool. As other commenter mentioned, I was expecting our computer boy to be able to walk through tutorial windows, and was trying to make it work haha. And it's crazy how many levels you managed to design in such a short time!
This is really well done. Polished, original, charming... what more do you want? I really enjoy it when devs like you put in the extra effort with little touches here and there, like your photo backgrounds, or how you can actually click on the checkboxes.
Really no complaints... I had to hand out a lot of 5s here.
Ok, I didn't feel well today. Wanted to rate lots of games, but could not get myself to do that. Then I remembered your game, which I started yesterday. I wanted to take time and now was the perfect time to play for a while. I managed to finish your game! There were some head scrathers haha
I'm always impressed by the 'solid feel' your games have. It just works, and there are lots of diffrent levels with relatively simple rules. I don't know how you do that, and one day I would love to create something as genious as your puzzle games. From the first day I saw the cute graphics I wanted to play it so badly 😁 The wallpapers were a nice touch too! I don't have any constructive feedback sadly. This was just a damn good puzzle game. Keep up the great work! ❤️
Nice work, this was a joy to play! I love the retro Windows look! Tiny virus sprites, tidy window-style puzzle boards and a clear, friendly tutorial make it very readable. Wonderful design. You should be proud of this one!
One of the best puzzles I ever played.
The compo puzzle games you make are always pretty satisfying to solve. Was cool managing two different layers of pieces, files at the small scale and windows at the large scale. Seemed to have a kind of pathfinding system for the windows. The synthy startup sound and blurry pixelated backgrounds are also really nostalgic (have you ever checked out the [Windows Wallpaper Wiki](https://windowswallpaper.miraheze.org/wiki/Windows)?).
I hate broccoli. I was relieved to discover the broccoli was just a trap.
This game seems like it could really use a "minimum moves" leaderboard, the solution space seems so wide open I have no idea if I'm doing well or not =). I managed to beat all of the levels, and enjoyed it the whole way through!
I gave it a 5 in every category; it’s truly underrated. I liked everything about this game, especially considering it’s a COMPO entry. I had a great time playing it. It’s a wonderful game:)
my soul hates the cleared sound effect ! everything else is very great ! cozy and lovely puzzle ! i stoped at lvl 10,it was very fun :)
Once again a fantastic little zucchini-bread sokoban game!
I loved the retro aesthetic, including the little boot up sound, screen wipes, and interactive radio buttons and checkboxes. The game oozes charm in the look and sound.
The window dragging added a lot to the usual sokoban formula and made for some really solid puzzles! #13 in particular made for a great "a ha" moment once I realized that there were gaps in the left wall for a reason. However the problem space does get pretty darn big for the harder levels --- I ended up making it to 14 after playing for over an hour before my brain needed a break, but I'm going to try to come back and finish it up later this week.
I'm happy to award this game the **Charming Boot-Up Sound** award for your great work.
