Such a cute little game, I loved it! Awesome aesthetics and vibes

Throws me back to Algo course in Uni :) Couldn't figure out the third puzzle, and didn't have the power to check if it's really possible lol

Anyways, great job!

Really cool, loved the hand drawn art and the clever puzzles, very cozy feel

I spent a good while tapping this check mark, thinking it was a button the next puzzle, but apparently it isn't? 😄

It's a clever and fun little game.

Loved this one! The hand-drawn notebook style is gorgeous and has so much personality, and the premise of replacing garish blue LEDs with warm vintage bulbs made me laugh. The puzzle is clever: it looks like a simple coloring task, but limited bulbs make you actually think. Easily one of the most memorable compo entries I've played. Great work!

Painting patterns with 4 colours gets more interesting when you limit the number of times you can use colours across puzzles, neat. The graphical aesthetic is charming and lends itself to a cozy home environment, it feels like something you could give to kids as a puzzle to do over Christmas.

I too was a bit confused that the checkmark wasn't a button at first, otherwise the actual buttons are charmingly handdrawn. I got 5 puzzles done before running out of blue lights but I'm sure with some thought I could get the other one done too. It's a shame there isn't some festive music to accompany this game. I did like the subtle animation to some of the lights.

All in all a very neat entry. It's a mystery how it can be multiplayer, how did you do that? :o

Beat the game

Somehow before clicking on that link I knew it was going to be a Technology Connections video. There's just nobody else on youtube I can think of who'd make a 20 minute rant about Christmas lights and CRI.

I thought the game was too easy at first, and then I ran out of blue lights and had to go back and re-do all my puzzle solutions. Congrats on the challenging puzzle.

Great art. I love the hand drawn aesthetic. The puzzles are trickier than I expected them to be. Limiting the bulbs really makes you think things through. At first I didn't realize your bulbs carried over between puzzles, and I though the third puzzle was just impossible. Eventually I figured it out. All this game is missing is some holiday music in the background. Great work!

Can see the idea here. Reminds me of some minigames from old quests. Respect for afford. Good job!

I did it! I didn't think I was going to be able to, but I went back and optimised my blue lights. Great little puzzle game, and I enjoyed being frustrated by it. Good stuff 🎱

@alex-mulkerrin: The description of the multiplayer support was a little unclear (and has been reworded). Basically I have the whole game state saving to localStorage every time you change it, and if you have the game open in multiple tabs at once, the other tabs receive an event and update immediately. If you're on a sort of computer that multiple people can use at once, you can misuse that feature as the world's most cursed co-op multiplayer mode. (I say "misuse", but this use case is what inspired me to build the inter-tab sync code in the first place.)

@henk: Glad you caught that; I always worry whether my references are too obscure.

@the3rdhunter et al.: I can't write a tune to save my life, but I was sorely tempted to add a volume toggle button exactly like this one (which is clickable) to the game menu. Maybe consider it a post-jam addition released in the form of a comment?

[Volume toggle button](https://lmgtfy.com/?q=christmas+lofi+beats+to+play+puzzle+games+to&s=d)

@oddballdave et al.: I prototyped all the puzzles individually with pencil and paper but I didn't have the inter-puzzle blue limit in place until everything was digital. You have no idea how relieved I was when that mechanic ended up working as a source of extra difficulty. Every previous LD game I've made has been an action game because I thought puzzle games Just Weren't My Skillset. I was a little scared for a while when my only good idea for this theme was a puzzle game.

And not to brag, but...

Complete! Blue lights used: 2

Love the game, unfortunately I sucked a bit haha. So I could not get the second half finished. This is a big nod to Technology Connections and I love that. The guy has some great videos and I almost also shared a link on my LD page of him explaining CRT's. I can just hear him say it _"garish blue LEDs"_ Can't wait for this years installment of "guy yells at blue LEDS for 20 minutes" 😁

Clever puzzle game though, I love the graphics and I like how the puzzles are connected. I think it fits the premise of the game pretty well

"Infrequently asked questions" 😂. That was funny! But... about the game. The game was very fun and clever, it was easy to understand, but difficult to win. I loved the drawn graphics and the different levels. I finished, and it was very fun! What would make it better is some cheerful Christmas tunes, that was my only dislike. It was a very cozy game and I will probably play it around Christmas time, because I liked it. Very good job!

I really loved this game. What a fun take on the theme and the idea of a map coloring problem. My only complaint is that there wasn't any cheesy christmas music to go with the lights. The hand-drawn notebook art style was really well done and worked well for the game. I particularly liked how the light pool was shared between all levels so I could go back and do something differently when I ran low on yellows as well. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Oh I also got 2.png

Snímek obrazovky 2026-10-28 v 8.29.12.png Nice puzzle! Actually I got really intrigued by the "local" coop/multiplayer mode - that is pretty cool/unconventional concept, would love to see a game that uses it as a main mechanism.

A wonderful puzzle game! Stylish, and it really makes you think!
