| Oct 7 22:24:27 | Rollslop | ♥ 1 | Neat! I found it very difficult, after a dozen or so tries, I survived about a minute at most 😆. Also, pre-made engines are overrated ;). | |
| Oct 7 22:42:22 | 17m 55s | Stampede Philarun | ♥ 1 | Fun! I managed to beat one bonus level, but couldn't get the second (or, gave up, as instructed earlier...). Worked well with controller. On the bonus levels, the camera was sometimes too far ahead or behind where I was to see where I was going, but other than there, the camera felt pretty good. The stamp names were fun, it surprised me when I heard a new one for the first time on the bonus level =). |
| Oct 7 23:04:21 | 21m 59s | Hop, Skip, Jump | ♥ 1 | Really fun little puzzle game! I wish I could click on the undo/restart areas of the screen instead of having to set down my drink and reach for the keyboard 😆. I found the last puzzle finicky, as my solution required pixel-perfect placement of every point... I'm very glad to see everyone else who posted video playthroughts found a different/simpler solution that's shaped like a star 😅. |
| Oct 7 23:49:35 | 45m 14s | Stamp Collecting on Planet Q | ♥ 2 | Great entry! Difficulty curve was perfect, each level felt a little harder than the last, and I was still learning new tricks near the end. Only thing I tried that I was sad didn't work was holding space + X I thought would quickly snake the arm back. Having `X` at all was a nice touch, though! |
| Oct 8 22:28:17 | 22h 38m | Trivia Hart in "The Case of the Porcelain Tricorn" | ♥ 1 | I got the spike pit ending. How could I resist? Really nicely done, wonderful amount of content. I would have liked just a _little_ more that made me think (or feel like I had to think) - about the only time I felt like I was doing something more than "click next and listen to the adorable dialog" was when a guy was hungry and I knew where the burger place was. Despite that, the content was great fun, so I didn't mind =). |
| Oct 8 22:51:53 | 23m 36s | Gems of Kaine | ♥ 1 | I love it! It took me a while to figure out the rules, the hints on the itch.io page were critical - I was thinking global rules, not local, and kept getting stuck - and the ruby being a 0 was a useful clue, but even after the hints I had to work for it a bit to figure it out, and that felt good. Once I understood the rules, it still took me a few tries, until around level 10 I zeroed in on a greedy strategy that seemed to work to remove most of the gems without any change of a mistake, and it was pretty route/simple for the last couple levels (though still kept me interested). It felt like maybe 1 more level and I'd be getting bored, so, good job on choosing a cut-off point =). The only thing I didn't like was re-doing those first few levels (I was at the point where my theoretical rules worked for roughly 100% of 2x2 and 3x3 levels, so I had to click through 3-4 levels again to test a new rule theory for a while). Maybe if it just sent you back 1 level (or 1 level size) on a mistake, instead of all the way to the beginning, that would have felt better, and let me more quickly test my theories. Music was great, I didn't feel the urge to mute it, which is high praise for a LD game 😆. I didn't try a speed-run, but here was my final time: Screenshot 2025-10-08 155246.png |
| Oct 8 23:26:14 | 34m 21s | Bootya | ♥ 1 | Why do these kids love glitter so much?! I was disappointed when I got to #8000 but wouldn't let me upgrade Width again :(. I later noticed the limited number of upgrade lights, but it would have been nice to just not show the cost or something if there was not an upgrade available. It's probably for the best though, as those other upgrades are helpful too 😆. Nice audio style, I like it ;). |
| Oct 8 23:57:18 | 31m 04s | The Compliance Enforcer | ♥ 1 | That was quite a bit of game! I'm sorry the story was cut off, although maybe it was for the best, I'm not sure I would have liked where it was going 😆. But, I was just following orders, it's fine. Scariest part was when some guy with an axe glitched through a wall and killed me in a hit =). I made it through the end of the story in Tank Mode (felt about right), then 1-2 levels later just got stuck, and had to switch to god mode, so, great job deciding to add those settings in there =). Occasionally when starting a level, my gun wouldn't fire, I couldn't quite figure out why, but sometimes I'd go through the first door and then stare at the guys in the face as they shot me... rather frustrating. (Probably) unrelated to that, it'd have been nice to have an ammo indicator somewhere, when I first ran out of ammo I was very confused (had just assumed infinite ammo up until that point due to not running out). Sound and music quite nice too! |
| Oct 9 22:45:50 | 22h 48m | Opa is de Koning | ♥ 1 | Nothing like bees and poisonous mushrooms to say "happy birthday"! Very cute. I had trouble with the beehive, it fell under the ground for a bit, and was behind/under the trampoline where I couldn't see what I was doing, buy I eventually managed to get it out of there with some random button mashing 😆. Great voice acting! |
| Oct 9 22:56:53 | 11m 03s | 1 of 8,031,810,176 | ♥ 1 | Really great! It ended... exactly how I started expecting it was going to 😆. From how it started, I kind of thought it was going to go very differently... thought I'd be upgrading my movement and such, but it kept skipping ahead in delightfully surprising ways which was great. Actual gameplay felt like it got a bit worse - when I had the car, the gameplay was just staring at the spedometer and not watching what was going on above at all, if instead it zoomed out or something I think it would have felt really engaging. That being said, that's fine, the gameplay was just a vehicle for the story, which I enjoyed. Really nice music too! |
| Oct 9 23:16:30 | 19m 37s | Achievement: Unlock all achievements | ♥ 2 | I collected them all! Now, was I supposed to be playing a game... ? The Konami code achievement didn't fire for me for some reason, I tried it a whole bunch of times, looked it up to double-check I knew it (of course I do, I'm "old"), tried it again, swapped Z/O ordering around and back a couple times, and then it finally fired, no idea why... Looking up random dates and adjusting the clock got a _little_ old (although I found about half of them naturally). Was fun, and I love the PICO-8 feel. |
| Oct 10 00:02:14 | 45m 44s | Manually counted Reference GC | ♥ 1 | I also stopped getting tasks on Level 2 at around 600 points after the last program closed and nothing more happened, not sure if it was a game bug (I did click the check to dismiss the program without actually un-coloring the memory map, but the tutorial seemed to indicate that was fine / just for me anyway...) |
| Oct 10 22:04:09 | 22h 01m | Sherd | ♥ 1 | 199 seconds here. It was kinda fun, I liked the squishy physics. I wish there was a wolf or something to come chomp down on those annoying sheep though... |
| Oct 10 22:10:44 | 6m 35s | Night of the Acorn Hunt | ♥ 1 | Not too bad! I had trouble fending off the crows, for a while it seemed easier just to feed them than to try to do anything else, though that's probably because I didn't get how the magic worked (I remembered "press shift" but it didn't do anything whenever I tried, apparently I wasn't holding an acorn). Some on-screen "press shift to activate magic" when holding an acorn and a crow was nearby would have been really helpful to deal with my poor reading comprehension 😆. Sound and music were nice! |
| Oct 10 22:17:54 | 7m 10s | Claw & Collect | ♥ 0 | Neat game! I really like the balls running around as I progressed =). I sometimes got confused with where my claw was aiming, just a little shadow down below would have made it easier (although, maybe too easy?). Music was very nice and relaxing too. |
| Oct 10 22:27:31 | 9m 37s | LD58 - Space Crystals | ♥ 0 | That is... challenging! After many, many tries, I managed to pick up a coin and get to 112 points. I died before I managed to move - many, many times. Just figuring out how to shoot was pretty challenging... I like the authentic retro feel though =). |
| Oct 10 22:31:19 | 3m 48s | Tax Collector | ♥ 1 | My score (1 run): 14. I'm not a great tax collector, but at least I had no tomatoes in my face. It was fun trying to position the shield while still knocking on doors. |
| Oct 10 22:58:39 | 27m 20s | Trade Up! | ♥ 1 | The "how to play" has an incorrect line - says "your cards must cost less than the house's", which I thought was odd, but the game as named "trade up", so I figured it'd be interesting. I quickly found out it's the opposite of what it said, though =). This was a lot of fun - I won once (quickly, first time through the deck) on normal, and then went back to play on hard and really enjoyed it! My only problem was it was too hard to tell the suits apart, having them be (at least two 😅) different colors would have been nice. Music and sounds effects were good, and everything felt very polished and elegant. Nice job! |
| Oct 10 23:08:58 | 10m 19s | Greedy Collector | ♥ 1 | That was pretty fun! Screenshot 2025-10-10 160731.png I apparently died to a guy that was in the process of dying himself (due to me just picking up the white sphere), I thought it'd be instantly safe to turn around (and, I didn't have much choice, as I was surrounded when I picked it up 😆). Music and sound all work really nice together. Nicely chill while intense at the same time, somehow. |
| Oct 10 23:24:48 | 15m 50s | Soul collector! | ♥ 1 | That was surprisingly fun! It was weirdly satisfying to "collect" people/chickens/etc. I tried a few runs, second run killing all of the archers and no civilians (though, quite a few chickens once I found them over there...), but didn't get a special ending :(. The arrows were a bit annoying when suddenly I was getting hit by one I dodged, coming from the side of the map I'd already cleared -_-. But, mostly they were amusing. The sound, though simple, really fit the game well. |
| Oct 14 22:27:08 | 95h 02m | Duckollector | ♥ 1 | I'm a free duck! And with $1981 in my pocket to boot. I really like this game, so many little things come together really well. The fact that enemies only spawn when I pick up loot felt _really_ satisfying - the intensity increased, but I didn't feel punished for being a little cautious (or, rather, having to spend some time just staying alive). The progression was good, the unlocking of an extra hit felt really great. All the enemies were interesting. Maybe the only complaint I have is I didn't find the coffee particularly useful, some other action (a dash / momentary invincibility?) would maybe have fit well, although just slowing things down did mesh well with the whole "just avoid getting hit" as the primary mechanic =). Nice job! |
| Oct 14 22:38:38 | 11m 30s | TRASH-OUT | ♥ 1 | Nice game! The progression felt pretty good. My first game I lost unexpectedly, I didn't feel like I was going slow, but apparently I was too slow -_-. Some better feedback for being about to lose (screen going red, blinking meter - I didn't even see the meter during the first game =) or something probably would have helped. I managed to win my second game though, and enjoyed it. Trash out! |
| Oct 14 23:14:20 | 35m 42s | Rune Rangers | ♥ 2 | Pretty cool! I loved the creature designs. While placing a rune I wished it would snap a preview so I could see exactly where it would drop (when it's unclear, and just to make it easier to place). I managed to find all but one of the creatures before it started feeling too repetitive. It seemed like my creatures were leveling up as they fought, which is really cool, but I didn't notice until I had multiple of one creature type and the HP changed - just a tiny message somewhere saying "Orbuncle gained 3 HP" would have been great for giving some progress feedback. Also, "Orbuncle" is a great creature 😆. |
