Jan 9 00:21:34 You're under harvest ♥ 2 Cute game! I like the idea of combing harvesting with a rhythm game, picking plants to the beat. Although, that's mostly just skin deep since the gameplay is just a standard rhythm game. Having to remember which plant corresponds to which direction does add a bit of a twist though. I also like the visuals; the minimal geometric background for the mountains works well. The game also has some funky beats, which is essential for a rhythm game. Overall, a cute game with some charm. Nice work!
Jan 9 00:43:45 22m 11s HarvesTurnip ♥ 1 Cute concept! I like the idea of adding time pressure to farming, having to judge what I do and don't have time to harvest. There's also a good number of different mechanics here to vary up the gameplay a bit. Although, I do feel that the game rewards overly cautious play; you pretty much never die unless you pull a large turnip. Feels like it needs to escalate more quickly to push the player to take more risks. That aside, I do really love the visuals! the spritework clearly had a lot of effort put into the shading, and the animation helps make the main character even more charming. I also appreciate the addition of online leaderboards Overall, a neat concept with some great art. Nice work!
Jan 9 01:38:05 54m 20s Yamsylvania ♥ 1 Yamela took the kids, RIP 😔 Jokes aside, this is a cool concept! I like the idea of yams being both something you sell and something you use as a weapon. I also like the all purple visuals; very on-theme. I will say that it does get repetitive quickly; probably needs to escalate more as the game progresses. Overall, nice work!
Jan 9 04:33:29 2h 55m Adelie - Water Under the Bridge ♥ 2 Cute game! I really like the low-fi visual style. Something about the grid based movement is just very snappy and satisfying. I also like the tactical combat; it forces you to think about how to position yourself to defeat the enemies. I will say that figuring out how to defeat each enemy was basically trial and error, which could be fun, but becomes frustrating when I have to start over after just one hit. Replaying the first few levels just to get back to the enemy I'm trying to figure out is not great. But I did enjoy my time with the game regardless. Nice work!
Jan 9 04:59:30 26m 01s Feed the beast ♥ 1 Cute game! The 2.5D visuals are very charming, and I like the silly sounds the beast makes. I will say that the gameplay gets a bit repetitive once you get a scarecrow up and running; just a matter of repeating the cycle a few times until you win. But sill a solid entry. Nice work!
Jan 9 06:44:31 1h 45m I want Blood ♥ 1 Really enjoy the fast nature of this game! I like how the pressure from the decreasing health pushes you to speed run it. Reminded me a bit of Neon White in that way. I did notice a weird bug where the options would reset every time I died or went to a new level. This was annoying because the default mouse sensitivity for this game is way too low; I had to manually turn the sensitivity on my mouse up as high as it would go. However, I enjoyed my time with this game a lot regardless. Nice work!
Jan 9 07:01:38 17m 07s Strange Garden ♥ 1 Really clever puzzle game! I love how all the different plants interact; it really forces you to think several turns ahead so you don't accidentally screw yourself. Some of the abilities later on were really cool as well, like the plant that moves around when ripe. The game escalated nicely with things getting really chaotic near then end as the demands get larger and larger. I managed to get a high score of 129. I'd be super interested seeing an expanded post-jam version of this at some point. Amazing work! HighScore.png
Jan 9 07:36:47 35m 09s Leafus ♥ 2 This is a really cool concept! I love the idea of turning Conway's Game of Life into a puzzle game. Really takes me back to some college CS classes. It was cool to see how placing plants in different areas affected the growth, although it was mostly just trial and error. Overall, a pretty clever idea. Nice work!
Jan 9 07:56:09 19m 22s The Gluten Farm ♥ 1 Simple but fun! I like how the bundles being left behind create a little obstacle course as you go. Dodging the chickens gets pretty intense at the end, but I managed to pull it off. Also, dear lord was I not prepared for that chicken jumpscare! Overall, nice work! Score.png
Jan 9 23:19:36 15h 23m Howdy Boy Harvest ♥ 1 Really chill game! It was pretty relaxing just to get into the groove of planting seeds and killing spiders. The music really helps set up that vibe. I also like how the attack doubles as a harvesting tool; it makes it tricky to defend the base once spiders get into it, since you don't want to harvest the partially grown crops. I will say it does get a bit repetitive after a while. I do wish there was some sort of win condition so I could end there. I got a few of the purple orbs and basically took that as my call to wrap things up. Regardless, a very fun and relaxing game. Nice work!
Jan 10 04:46:58 5h 27m The Crystallographer ♥ 1 Pretty cool mechanics! I like the dual purpose design giving some tension between breaking and harvesting the crystals. Trying to figure out the right combination of which to break and which to harvest while on a time crunch was pretty tricky. I will say that it gets a bit repetitive after a while, since you're mostly doing the same old break harvest repeat. Might need some extra twist to spice it up. But I had a lot of fun regardless, and the visuals and audio were also very solid. Nice work!
Jan 10 05:06:06 19m 08s Gun Harvester ♥ 1 Really cool concept! The idea of your own plants being the enemy is a great twist. It's interesting to have to plan out where you'll put your own enemies, and how many you're willing to take on at once. The gameplay gets really frantic and fun when you get a lot of plants up at once! I will say that the interface is a bit clunky. Having to constantly go into a menu to buy plants, then select those from a wheel really slowed down the pace. You could probably forego the wheel and just make it plant them in order. Regardless, a very fun entry. Nice work!
Jan 10 05:20:16 14m 10s Harvest Tataki - Whac-a-carrot ♥ 1 Simple but fun! I like how fast paced it gets near the end. Really tricky to keep up, but the time limit gives you pressure to keep going. The energy provided by the pacing, visuals, and music help make the basic gameplay feel exciting. Nice work!
Jan 10 05:42:54 22m 38s You Will Be Fertiliser. ♥ 1 Pretty cool concept. I like the idea of having to speed run farming, and it was cool how your past lives could affect your future attempts. I will say that it was annoying to have to start from the first mission every time, although it did push me to really master the beginning of the game. Overall, nice work!
Jan 10 06:03:16 20m 22s Grow Golf ♥ 2 Really creative concept! I love how much strategy there is in trying to decide when to water, when to plant, and when to go for the hole. It took a couple tries to get a good run going, but it's really fun when you have a lot of balls flying around the screen at once. I will say that the soil drying and falling apart happens a bit too quickly. Feels like the game's pretty much over at that point unless you already have a massive amount of balls. Balance could use a bit of fine tuning in that regard. But I had a lot of fun with this one regardless. Nice work!
Jan 10 06:25:48 22m 32s Carrot Jack ♥ 1 Pretty neat game! I like the simple, arcade-y mechanics. The bounciness of the visuals give the game a really fun energy. The time crunch helps give the game a sense of urgency, although I wound up just building a full field of carrots and harvesting them all at once in the end. The ending was also really well done. Overall, nice work!
Jan 10 06:34:44 8m 56s FarmUp! ♥ 2 Cute game! The visuals and music give the game a charming vibe, and I like the hectic scramble to find the right tools in time. I will say picking up the correct tool when multiple tools were overlapping could get annoying, even if imprecision is what you're going for. But, overall, a wacky and fun game. Nice work!
Jan 10 06:42:13 7m 29s Nesting ♥ 1 Cute and simple game! I like how the collectibles double as health, giving a light punishment for getting hit, but not too much. It's also neat how the collectibles affect your controls. Overall, a short and sweet game that doesn't overstay its welcome. Nice work!
Jan 10 07:48:19 1h 06m Petra Rabbit's Carrot Chase ♥ 1 Cute game! The visuals add a lot of charm, and the audio made me chuckle. The gameplay is simple, but doesn't overstay its welcome. Nice work!
Jan 10 08:11:37 23m 18s Wheat Master ♥ 2 Nice take on a clicker game! The audio helps get me into a relaxing groove planting and harvesting crops. I like how fast things get towards the end with the wheat popping up as fast as I can plant it. I also appreciate that you added an ending so I didn't just have to go until I got bored. Overall a solid entry. Nice work!
Jan 10 09:09:12 57m 35s Goblo The Harvester ♥ 4 Really cool that you made such a large game in only 72 hours! It's simple, but there's a lot to explore. The tank controls are a bit unfortunate, but I enjoyed my time with this game regardless. Nice work!
Jan 11 05:03:42 19h 54m Fallowtide ♥ 1 Really great game! I love the combo of farming with deck building. The dark theming was well integrated with the composter mechanic seamlessly turning into ritual sacrifices. There were multiple moments in the game that took me off guard, and I especially loved the buildup towards the ending. If I had to criticize one thing, it felt like you don't really need to use much strategy to get through; it was hard not to turn a profit with even a minimal amount of effort. But the game still managed to keep me engaged to the end. Overall, great work!
Jan 11 05:30:28 26m 46s Crops on fire ♥ 1 Neat idea! Trying to figure out the best strategy to save as much field as possible was fun, especially on the higher difficulties. It's great how hectic things get when the fire starts spreading out of control. I do wish it gave me some sort of grade so I know how well I did; seems like it always says "victory" so long as you don't die. But, overall, a pretty enjoyable entry. Nice work!
Jan 11 07:15:04 1h 44m Furious Farm: Total Reap-Out ♥ 1 Really top notch game! The visuals are very polished, and the intense audio really added to the thrill of the gameplay. The elimination of competitors as your go also lets the tension build over time. It feels almost like an amped up version of a Mario Party minigame. There's some interesting strategy involved in figuring out how to maximize your yield, although I found it pretty easy to beat everyone by a wide margin just by focusing on harvesting. Still, this is a very polished, well realized game, and I had a blast playing it. Amazing work!
