Oct 5 18:40:30 Emotionally Unstable ♥ 2 Liked the art style and sound design. A bit more instructions on what to do would be nice but eventually figured out what to do. All of the cards I got had only positive numbers for the red and green bar which resulted in me only being focused on the numbers for happiness and sadness. I think if you added some negative numbers for the green and red bars, it would make it a bit more challenging and require the player to pay attention to all the values on the card.
Oct 5 18:46:40 6m 10s Wayward Warlock ♥ 1 I think the game could really benefit from being allowed to move the camera up and down. Having it locked to the player character like it is makes the gameplay feel stiff. I enjoyed the potion mechanics, they were a lot of fun and allowed for some creative ways to explore the map. I ran into an issue a couple of times that no longer allowed me to throw potions, Im not sure if this was an intentional mechanic (did I run out?) or a bug. If intentional, some sort of HUD indicator would be nice. Also, not sure what all the collectable objects were for, feels like maybe a portion of the game that wasnt finished in time? Overall I think more explanation as to what we need to do would help the game a lot. I ended up collecting all of the stuff to "get home" but could not figure out how to combine to complete the game.
Oct 5 19:12:26 25m 46s The Wizardless Tower ♥ 2 I liked the idea behind this game - half tower defense and half tetris. Its really creative! Also, really difficult after about a minute, the difficulty spike quickly. I will say, having something drop straight down from the sky (not shot from a cannon) is pretty difficult to defend against, but maybe I didnt have the correct pieces in play. I found myself defaulting to using the arcane missile block. I couldnt figure out what the other blocks did. And a little guidance on what the goal is would be helpful too. I see a height marker at the top so I assumed it was to build as tall as possible but clarification would be helpful. Overall, the art style looked great I had fun playing it. Good job!
Oct 5 19:44:24 31m 58s Mars Colony Alpha ♥ 3 This kind of game is dangerous for me, I could easily myself losing some serious time playing this. That is, if I dont kill everyone in the colony ;-). I think a little bit of a hint on what to do at the start would be helpful. I sat there for about 5 minutes before I realized no one was actually in the colony yet. and another few minutes fiddling with the dials until I realized they were all turned off and I needed to turn on the water first before the others would turn on. But overall, its a good game!
Oct 5 19:54:18 9m 54s Tipsy Toddlers ♥ 0 Fun little game! I can see this being the kind of game that you play while waiting for a meeting to start (or end ;-)) The controls were a bit finicky, and I had a hard time telling exactly what I was going to pick up when I clicked. I think if the object that was being targeted would highlight so the player knows exactly whats going to be picked up would go a long way. It got a little frustrating when the baby ran into a pile of blocks and every time I thought I was hover over the baby I would pick up a block instead. Maybe this is intentional, though? A way to mechanically induce the frustrations that come with dealing with toddlers? If so, spot on! Good job!
Oct 5 20:04:55 10m 37s Unstable States ♥ 1 The art was great! Wasnt sure what I was supposed to be doing though, and just ran around getting shot the whole time. Maybe some explanation on what the goal is, and what all of the GUI elements were? I saw the countdown timer was related to when your form would change, but theres a bar next to it that I couldnt figure out what it represented. It went down everytime I got shot so I initially thought it was a health indicator, but when it went empty I didnt die. Also, the counter at the top of the page I wasnt sure what it represented. It stayed 0 the whole time. Admittedly I wasnt very good at the game, so I didnt get far, but I did like the art style quite a bit.
Oct 5 20:33:31 28m 36s Drunk Fist ♥ 3 Great Soundtrack, the song reminded me a lot of System of a Down (I initially thought it was but then figured the liscencing for SoaD would probably be pretty $$$) and I really dig the art style - it was like a neon infused cruelty squad. Appreciated the option to change mouse sensitivity, the starting value was a bit too fast for me but I dont play a whole lot of FPS' so maybe its perfect for a veteran player. The music slowing down after drinking was a nice touch. The map was a bit tough to navigate, but since my job was to get drunk and punch roaches I never really cared what my current position was. Did get stuck on alot of the environment, but for a 3 day project its pretty solid!
Oct 5 21:00:00 26m 29s Ancient Pixels ♥ 1 Nice Game! The tiny bullets the enemies shoot are kind of hard to see, and a lot harder to avoid :-/ and would be nice if we could destroy the enemies some how, but maybe that would make the game too easy ;-). Overall, good game!
Oct 5 21:46:11 46m 11s Atomic Pool ♥ 3 The in-game documentation is really helpful, without it I dont know if I would have figured out how to play. Sound design was great as well. Game was a bit tough, and almost felt like success was more random than the result of anything I did. Also, there was a delay with between moving the mouse and the direction the gun pointing that made it a little frustrating. With as fast as the temperature increases, this feels like the game is wanting you to react quickly, but the turning speed of the gun and the speed of each shot feels like it actively works against my efforts. I think if the turn speed matched the speed of the mouse movement, and you increase the speed at which particles are shot from the gun, this game could be a lot of fun!
Oct 5 22:08:42 22m 31s Balkanization 1 ♥ 2 This is an excellent game! I had a lot of fun with it. Its also pretty funny, imagining having fighter jets in the 1200's c.e.. It would be helpful to have an idea of where the other nations are in relation to victory - maybe an espionage option that will give you a nations stats for that turn. But overall, great job!
Oct 5 22:33:56 25m 14s The Niland Incident ♥ 1 This is a nice little rogue-like game (maybe rogue-lite because of ability carry-over? just in case someone wants to correct me). I had fun with it, kinda wished it was a bit longer. No real criticisms other than that, I think the design and execution were well done!
Oct 5 22:41:49 7m 53s Emergency Power ♥ 1 Interesting little text adventure. It would have been nice to have a bit more branching, it seemed pretty linear for a text adventure. Good Job
Oct 5 22:59:37 17m 48s Time Rift ♥ 4 Nice 3d platformer. Controls felt a little unresponsive at times and vaulting kills all momentum you built up and kind of breaks the flow when running. Graphics look great!
Oct 6 15:56:49 16h 57m Unstable Chem Mystery ♥ 1 Nice Game! I like the creative way that you could mix the chemicals to solve each solution. Some not or indicator that potassium first allows you to throw the bottle, that was a little unintuitive. Good game!
Oct 6 16:09:08 12m 19s Mercurial ♥ 1 This was fun! I really liked the are style and the music was great! It took a few round for me to understand the mechanic, but once I got that down I could see myself improving each round which is something I think a game like this needs! One criticism, maybe add a bit more flourish or movement to the initial attack, I occasionally had a tough time knowing if the attack occurred in time or if I just got hit. Otherwise, good job!
Oct 6 19:27:26 3h 18m DUNGEON ECONOMY ♥ 1 Interesting game! balancing the items in inventory and using their position as a means of controlling the character was a novel idea! The inventory did block my view of some immediate dangers and was kind of frustrating, maybe making it more transparent, or maybe an overhead minimap on the side the player can reference for some bit of heads up!
Oct 7 15:56:34 20h 29m UnderControl ♥ 0 24! Couldnt see the score system unless I was in fullscreen, so I had a few runs before whose scores I dont know, but Im pretty sure they were pretty low. Cool Idea!
Oct 7 18:18:30 2h 21m Ice Moon ♥ 1 Pretty neat! I like the idea of a driving simulator set on different planets and moons! Having different gravitys and surface types! A really cool idea! A 3rd person view option would be nice, there were a few times my vehicle fell and I had trouble orienting myself. But otherwise, good job! If you go further with this, I bet adding a mode where the vehicle moves faster and letting the player just launch off of ramps/hills would be pretty fun too!
Oct 7 20:19:09 2h 00m Cargo Breaker ♥ 2 This is a fun game! I could see myself playing this in the future to kill some time. Would make for a pretty fun mobile game. The different weight mechanic was a nice touch! No real criticisms, the game feels pretty complete!
Oct 7 21:18:01 58m 52s Realignment ♥ 1 Neat puzzle game you have. It took me a little bit to figure out what I was supposed to do to solve each puzzle, maybe some indication like "Just fiddle with it until it turns blue" or something would be helpful. Fun dialogue, though, and the ending mystery was pretty neat! Dont wanna give too much away, but doing a quick search resulted in finding out about a particularly rich neighborhood in London - Not being from the UK, I wonder what the significance of that is. Anyway, good job!
Oct 8 18:24:26 21h 06m Trembling Tomb ♥ 2 Fun game! I think the art style is perfect for it, and sound design worked. I think more indication when the player character gets hit would help (Maybe just a simple color change flash just to add a bit of a visual element to getting hurt) Also, maybe a small disclaimer that wall jumping is a thing and can be used, I went a while not knowing how to get out of the first room before figuring that out. Otherwise, good game!
Oct 8 18:34:52 10m 26s Pink Dragon ♥ 2 You arent kidding about challenging! I noticed that the platforms will fall if you touch them on their sides, not just by jumping on them. This cause a lot of platforms to fall before I had a chance to jump on it. That might be intentional to increase the difficulty, but, in my opinion, for this to work you need to have a lot more precise control over the player character than you currently have. If the character moved faster and jumped higher, it could keep the difficulty and fell a little more rewarding.
Oct 8 18:55:07 20m 15s Unstable escape ♥ 1 Cool Game! I liked the animation for jumping quite a bit! Small issue I had was crouching while moving. The CTRL + W combo closes the tabs in my browser so I had to restart a few times XD. But other than that, no issues. Good job!
Oct 8 19:10:36 15m 29s Stick-Stack-Stuck ♥ 1 Fun building game! I think the jaws collision box should be a bit bigger so you dont have to follow the jaw with the cursor when having it chew would be nice, it would allow the player to save a bit of time. But other than that, it was pretty fun!
Oct 13 21:29:03 122h 18m Moonbound ♥ 1 Cool concept! Implementation is kinda buggy. Biggest complaint would be the lack of explaination regarding the "markets" aspect of the game. As someone who does not follow crypto, it took me a while to figure out how to play properly. This was also made more difficult due to some buggy behavior - the first time I try to buy attack speed in a game, my attack speed is automatically reduced to 3 (It started at 5) when I would think it should increase to 6, and similarly with speed, it starts at 5, the first time I buy it increases to 10. This behavior really threw me at the beginning Also, having the prices dip to 0 and below, though maybe accurate for actual crypto (Is it? Idk), it breaks the game. I got to a point where I just started clicking as fast as I can on volatile market events and whenever the price hit zero, I would end up getting free stats, and if the price went negative I would actually make money buying stats. Doing this always resulted in increased stats, they never dropped. So there was really no incentive for me to explore except to flex on the monster in each room because my stats were through the roof. Ultimately, really cool concept, but buggy execution, needs some additional explaination for us non-crypto peeps, and needs some balance considerations
Oct 13 21:45:23 16m 20s Toy Tactics ♥ 1 This was really fun! I could see this being a really fun multiplayer game. The camera behavior when you initially select a soldier is a little wonky and seems to over correct when you first moved (This led to one of my soldiers jumping off the map >.<) but thats really my only complaint. Given the small size of the map, I found that the movement limits were very generous and I never felt like it was a constraint. Maybe reducing the amount a soldier can move would increase the strategy element buy making movement feel more precious (btw, NOT a complaint, just a suggestion ;-P) overall, good game!
Oct 13 22:08:07 22m 44s LIFT-UP MACHINE (nightly version) ♥ 3 Fun Game! I like the escalation it takes! Kinda reminded me of the cookie clicker escalation! Good job!
Oct 13 22:09:26 1m 19s Spellkeepers: Mage Brigade ♥ 1 I really like tower defense games! Good job on this! I get the feeling that each mage color might have been unique in someway, but the only way I saw was that red could operate during storms (which only happened once or twice) Majority of the game, I only had 1 mage doing all of the killing, a backup one occasionally got a kill if the first one got swamped. That is until the first one got upgraded, than nothing got passed it! I think maybe some sort of damage mechanic for the mages, if the get touched/passed they take damage, otherwise I can easily see how 1 mage would become OP.
Oct 13 22:33:03 23m 37s Hatchling's Adventure ♥ 1 Fun Game! Gotta say though, take small, measured leaps goes against every instinct in my body when playing a game like this - that is to say pulling back as far as I can and watching it fly! Good job!
Oct 16 19:35:04 69h 02m The Automation Department ♥ 2 This was a fun game! I really liked the art style, it felt very appropriate. Not a whole lot to criticize, it felt very polished and complete, albeit a little short but that's not really a problem for a game made in 3 days. Good job!
