It says it cannot find the page :( Are you sure you published it already? (Also a little tip, add your game link to the post, otherwise it's more tedious to find it, because one has to go through the profile).

anaxie-studio 2021-10-05 06:47

@tiar oops, the page should be working now, thanks for the heads up! The links are listed right here under "downloads and links" is that what you meant?

skymouse 2021-10-05 08:50

Nice work, I found it a bit laggy for me but I did like the weather effects in later levels

yotamco 2021-10-05 09:04

Tried playing it in the HTML5 version and it wouldn't get stuck and wouldn't open :/

anaxie-studio 2021-10-05 09:47

Thanks for trying it out, guys!

@yotamco what browser are you using? We noticed it doesn't run well on Chrome, but Firefox runs well for both of us :) Otherwise you can also try a downloaded version (windows or linux).

yotamco 2021-10-05 11:35

@anaxie-studio Yeah I was running on chrome. I'll try downloading/play on FireFox. Thanks :)

anaxie-studio 2021-10-05 11:38

@yotamco happy to hear you're giving it another shot! :D

varundevs 2021-10-05 13:13

Nice entry

ayced 2021-10-05 13:36

I don't think the grass fits with the rest of the art

I like the whole concept but I think there are lots of things you could add or improve, some of which are: - damage / experience floating numbers - healthbars - tooltips for the mages before you recruit them - tooltips for mage upgrades so you know what it does

strictpeak 2021-10-05 14:25

Super cute game, I love the little detail of the mages all having random names, nice touch!

anaxie-studio 2021-10-05 14:41

@ayced thanks for your comment. All of those features (and a couple more) were planned hehe, sadly we didn't have time to implement any of them.

@strictpeak thanks! Names were a lot of fun to add ^^

nice work - i love the slow-burn narrative, element-based type advantages, and the weather effects are very nice! that said, i had a couple issues: 1. the pace felt very slow - time speed controls are a must for tower defence! 2. the game balance was far too kind to the player - i never found a single enemy getting past the first third of the map. upgraded units in particular are far too powerful.

overall, it's a fun little tower defence game with plenty of good mechanics and potential - with a few tweaks, it could be super engaging!

mandy858 2021-10-05 16:24

Nice game! Nice graphics too. Kind of addictive already. Maybe add more difficulties, was really easy to win rounds. Good job!

apandso 2021-10-05 18:13

I like the art style, especially icons of the mages. The game seemed pretty easy and I wish there was a speed setting to make it faster. Good job!

anaxie-studio 2021-10-05 18:17

Thank you for your comments! It is indeed on the easy side. :)

joonamo 2021-10-05 18:33

Dear Master Wizard Elerum,

You put way too little faith in the new recruits. These apprentices are amazing! They literally let zero unstabilia through. I've attached a photo of our magic picnic in the freshly flowing grass.

Your's magically, Commander Joonamo

I really liked the design of some of the mages, especially the white magic one was really cute. The game was a bit too easy, with only really needing one mage to clear all the waves, but I really likes the story delivered in each letter.

ping78 2021-10-06 02:01

Lovely game with nice mood and relaxing music.

mspawa 2021-10-06 02:31

It is a little slow for me, but addictive at the same time. I'm confused with all the paths... because it appears that the bad pyramid guys only spawn from one spot? so I wasted mages in the other paths... Cute graphics tho!

anaxie-studio 2021-10-06 06:47

Thanks for your kind words everyone!

@joonamo :laughing:

@mspawa you’re right, we were planning to use the other paths too but ended up prioritizing other things and completely forgot to put indicators on the path used!

tygrak 2021-10-06 20:18

Nice voxel/low poly graphics! Having a weather system in a tower defense game is really cool, more games should explore that idea :). Being able to zoom out and in is also a nice touch. I wish the music was a bit longer, the loop point is always a bit sudden, but that is a minor thing :). Nice job!

yanamoe 2021-10-07 18:51

Really cute game with low poly graphics and quiet mood. But i didn`t understood immediately where i can place mags and what their color means

kora0h 2021-10-07 23:30

Very cute game.Weather and magic elements became a thing in this game.I didn't pay too much attention about the letter stuff, but I knew there was a funny story in it.Good work! 6.png

mrarc 2021-10-10 16:36

Crashed my browser at startup. Chrome 94 + MacOS if that helps.

anaxie-studio 2021-10-10 19:24

Thanks for the report @mrarc! We're not sure why that it, but it might have something to do with it being Chrome (Chrome is giving us issues with this project too, but other browsers like Firefox work) or potentially with it being a Mac.

ttu-hasan 2021-10-11 06:05

cool concept

thedude3600 2021-10-13 22:09

I really like tower defense games! Good job on this! I get the feeling that each mage color might have been unique in someway, but the only way I saw was that red could operate during storms (which only happened once or twice) Majority of the game, I only had 1 mage doing all of the killing, a backup one occasionally got a kill if the first one got swamped. That is until the first one got upgraded, than nothing got passed it! I think maybe some sort of damage mechanic for the mages, if the get touched/passed they take damage, otherwise I can easily see how 1 mage would become OP.

papaver 2021-10-19 23:58

Cute graphics! I also like that the story slowly unfolds during the game. However, I found the gameplay itself quite boring, because the pace was too slow and the game is not at all challenging. But this can easily be fixed in a PostCompo version.

I did enjoy the weather effects and the moving grass. I like the idea that some mages work better or worse in certain weather conditions. I was a bit surprised that all the blobs took the same path, and that the lower path was never used. Also, I could place multiple mages on the exact same spot.

mrknd94 2021-10-20 19:48

It was fun the first five days, but it didn't get challenging enough. I only had 4 mages the first twenty days. Then, at around day 27, I just quit because it wasn't fun anymore. The story and instructions was okay. Just put up the challenge a bit more at around day five, then it will be an okay game. The graphics are good though.
