Oct 4 00:39:19 Mutated Carbon ♥ 2 This was a really fun game! seemed really polished and well thoughtout/executed. I liked the art style, simple but everything was readable. Initially, the instructions on the page seemed a little overwhelming (without knowing exactly what they meant for gameplay) and almost convinced me to not try, once I played it and understood what it all referred to the game really came together. Good Job!
Oct 4 00:48:01 8m 42s Elemental Shrine ♥ 3 I had a little trouble in the beginning understanding what I was doing. Each shot seemed to pass over the enemies so I couldnt tell if I was damaging them. I made it to the second level, changed my color, and then it said that I completed the second level. not sure if that was supposed to happen, but it made it significantly easier to beat than the first level. Fun idea, could use a little more polish, but given it was done over the weekend, Good Job!
Oct 4 01:01:25 13m 24s Stoked ♥ 1 Great take on the theme! As others have mentioned, great atmosphere! The music gave it a calming feeling even as I was frantically trying to move seekers aware from my fire. Was a small issue with souls being collected - it looked like they were trying to reach a specific point before being considered "collected" but would often not be able to reach that point and would end up bouncing back and forth preventing it from being counted. Overall, good job!
Oct 4 01:07:52 6m 27s thanks, II hate it! ♥ 1 This was a lot of fun! Initially, things felt a little frantic because my brain was saying "I have to finish all of these in 10 seconds!" but when I noticed there was no consequence for not doing so, I was relieved and could just enjoy each of the mini-games. My favorite was the singing one. Good Job!
Oct 4 01:16:47 8m 55s Decaedia ♥ 1 Start of a cool little RPG, I think! Wasnt sure where the theme fit in, but maybe I didnt make it far enough? After accepting the first quest, I got teleported to a new map and wasnt sure what to do (Went from me and someone named Burns talking to a merchant to some people named Wesley and Sadaarta talking about building a portal?), not sure if that was intentional, but it was a little disorienting. Great Job Otherwise!
Oct 4 01:29:15 12m 28s Final Bastion ♥ 0 Base Defense games are one of my favorite genres! This was a good job! Definitely difficult, but felt fair. The screen shake effect was a little disorienting at times, especially when trying to place a building. but overall, Good Job!
Oct 4 21:31:46 20h 02m Hocus Poquest ♥ 4 This game was really fun! I was halfway through before I remembered I was supposed to be rating it, I got kinda sucked into it. The art style was good, that and the humor kind of reminded me of "Nobody Saves the World". The quest progression was a cool idea, though at times it took a back seat to me just shooting things. One nit pick I had was the quest Icons were a bit intrusive and could maybe have been smaller? But it didnt prevent the game from being playable. Good Job!
Oct 4 21:41:52 10m 06s Frantic Belt ♥ 1 Neat concept! I like games like this. Wasnt sure what all of the different factories did, but figured out some of them! 60 seconds a round felt a little short to remove and build new, maybe an auto clear feature after each round would help? Good Job!
Oct 4 21:48:52 7m 00s It's My Life ♥ 1 Nice! Each death made me want to try again! I wasnt exactly sure what I was supposed to be working towards, but hey - thats life, amarite???? but it was fun trying to beat my previous scores. Good Job!
Oct 4 22:06:51 17m 59s Candy Eden ♥ 2 Neat Game! I really liked the art (and the AT easter eggs!) It was pretty tough though! I beat it, but only after using the cheat :( but still liked it. Good Job!
Oct 4 22:15:39 8m 48s Da Bomb! ♥ 2 70! Cool Concept! I like the Hot Ones References! Makes me wonder if y'all work on the show ;-P but cool game! I liked how the puzzles were more difficult depending on the character you had control of. Unfortunately, All but one of them died on me, so I didnt get to see everyones. Good Job!
Oct 4 22:30:47 15m 08s Escape The Simulation ♥ 1 Fun game! Cool idea - it was tough but it just made me want to keep trying. I did run into a weird drift issue where the character would just start slowly turning, not sure what was causing it but my controls all seemed to be working ok. Good Job!
Oct 4 22:35:55 5m 08s Winding Woods ♥ 1 Cool Idea! Was tough to keep up! One thing I couldnt figure out is how the critter decided what direction to go, was it whereever I placed a card? Or was it random each tile? I think adding some sort of indicator regarding its intended direction would be helpful! Good Job!
Oct 4 22:48:16 12m 21s Farming Game ♥ 1 Was a little hard to grok at first, but eventually figured it out. I was eventually able to sell 88 dollars worth of potatoes! (I think thats what they were???) Ploughed fields didnt stay ploughed for long, though :-/. But good game!
Oct 4 23:02:43 14m 27s Arcade Station ♥ 1 Great Atmosphere! (hehe) But for real, it had a really coherent aesthetic. At one point, I realized it felt like there was no real consequence for having the values go into the red and I was just trying to keep them out of the red because that is typically how things are played in other games! lol. It did get frustrating that occasionally the building I needed would not show up for several rounds. Made me feel a little helpless and unable to do anything, unless thats what you were going for (a space colony would definitely be at the mercy of circumstance). Good Job!
Oct 4 23:10:40 7m 57s GRABOUL ♥ 2 Fun little game! Idk what it was about it, but I was groovin to that music! took me a minute to realize the arrow in the center told me what the map was going to do. At one point, I found a corner that I stuck the character in and they were safe for a few rounds, lol. Good Job!
Oct 4 23:16:30 5m 50s J-Menuing ♥ 1 Nice little JRPG combat game! The menu switching was a neat little gimmick that kept me on my toes each fight! I think I would have liked a clearer explaination on the attack types and colors of the enemies, I dont think i figured it out well with my first run (Red was regular attack and blue was magic - what was purple?) but otherwise good job!
Oct 5 19:43:37 20h 27m Train Trader ♥ 3 Really Cool Game! A lot of information to take in at first and was a bit difficult figuring out what to do, but once I got it I felt like it really came together. A Help menu might be in order just to know what you are looking at on the world map. I actually think the 10 second limit is a bit too restrictive for this game, but 10 seconds was the theme and I think it came out well! Over all, pretty fun! Can see the potential for a larger/longer game!
Oct 5 19:54:49 11m 12s OH! STUPID ENGINEER ♥ 1 This is really good! I can see myself continuing to play this. Art and sound were all great, and everything felt polished! All in all, no complaints, Good Job!
Oct 5 22:05:36 2h 10m Galactic traders ♥ 1 This is pretty cool! It works really well! For me, an RTS would be way too ambitious for a Game Jam, but this was fun to play! Didnt beat it (yet!) but enjoyed it. One nit pick I had (and maybe I was playing wrong) but once a ship starts moving and you deselect it, I couldnt figure out how to reselect it to change its course :-/. but over all Great Job!
Oct 5 22:32:44 27m 08s Split-Second Darkness ♥ 0 Cool little game! I like the idea that the creatures only move once the lights are off. I could see this being a pretty cool action/horror game with some more work! Good Job!
Oct 5 22:53:25 20m 41s The End Position ♥ 2 Interesting Concept! It was fun figuring out the different combinations! Once thing that it might benefit from is instead of 10 seconds for any resource, each resource gets its own 10 second timer. Having to wait for each of them together felt a little constraining. Otherwise, good job!
Oct 5 23:12:02 18m 37s IRON DAWN ♥ 1 Cool Game! Im always Surprised when I see RTS entries in a game jam, takes a lot of skill to get the mechanics working in 3 days, I think! Congrats on the completion! Audio had me laughing! One thing I think might help is if the buildings that were captured produced units automatically that way we can focus on where to move them to, or to move production to a centralized location? or allow to queue productions. Trying to juggle both moving units and selecting production sites to make sure they are producing distracts from the overall game, I think. But otherwise, good job!
Oct 5 23:33:21 21m 19s Rain Systems ♥ 1 This is a really cool game! I had a lot of fun trying to figure it out! This type of puzzle game is right up my alley. I could see this being expanded on to create a pretty cool mystery game! Good Job!
Oct 5 23:40:33 7m 12s No Time For Love ♥ 2 Nice take on the dating sim! I've not played many of them, but I have been to speed dating before and it really does kinda feel like that at times! I liked that art style quite a bit too! Good Job!
Oct 5 23:49:38 9m 05s Potion Commotion ♥ 3 Nice game! It gets really cluttered really quickly which adds to the frantic feeling of being overwhelmed with orders! Good Job!
Oct 6 00:00:52 11m 14s Dichotomy ♥ 1 Great Game! I had a lot of fun! I enjoyed the addition of other hazards like the swinging blade! I like how well it fit the them too, 10 seconds to decide where to move. Good Job!
Oct 6 00:16:59 16m 07s Zombie Rush 3: Escalation ♥ 4 This was a fun top down shooter! Tough, but fun! I think my best time was 1 minute 25. And as a bonus, the PC totally looks like Vegeta from the top, so the image of Vegeta running around shooting a bunch of zombies was pretty great! Good Job!
Oct 6 00:23:53 6m 54s Elite Rusher ♥ 2 Fun Shooter! I liked the idea that keeping the house alive meant you can continue to respawn, really cool idea! It could have used a larger variety of shooting modes/upgrades, but leveling up increases distance (and damage?) was pretty cool! Good Job!
Oct 10 23:03:40 118h 39m For Greater Good ♥ 1 Ha! Funny concept! I feel like the art style really matched the humor the game was going for! I did think the player character could have moved a little faster just to help with the 10 second time limit, but over all good job!
Oct 10 23:18:54 15m 14s Just In Time ! ♥ 1 Fun Game! I really like the mechanics! Is pretty difficult, which is alright, but having to reopen the game each time I lost was a little annoying, but didnt stop me from going back to play it! Aside from that, Solid Execution! Good Job!
Oct 10 23:45:56 27m 02s ITTTNOALTSFATWWAMPTJBANCKSUE10S! ♥ 1 That was a lot of fun! It really felt like I was back in Uni trying to study during a shift. And they lecture was done really well! I thought the story unfolding during it was really compelling. As other have said, it felt a little long, but I think that has to do with the repetitive nature of the task. Taking notes is definitely a good idea to try to break up the repetition, but can customers stack up really quickly. I think a solution to this could be a different input for making drinks, binding each color to a keyboard key for example. That way, the player can be rewarded for remembering the drink types by being able to type them faster than they could with mouse input and freeing up a little more time for notes. All in all, really cool concept, good job!
Oct 11 00:17:51 31m 55s Desynchronization Escape ♥ 2 Cool little puzzle game! It initially took me a while to figure out exactly what I was supposed to do and how the delays were applied. For the first, I didnt know when the delay was applied. At first I thought it was applied at the point in the loop that I added it. Eventually figured out it was applied to the start of the loop which brought me to the next confusion which at what point is the start of the loop? I think if you had a timer in the corner that showed the countdown until the loop started again would help a lot with those confusions, it'd make it easier to see how the delays affect each floor. But once I figured out what was going on it was fun and I was able to beat it! Good Job!
