Oct 9 20:12:51 Nothing ♥ 1 Clean execution. It bugs me that resource generation per second is so slow it's only slowing the profit down since the prize goes up regardless of whether you choose "Per Second" or "On Key Press". But yeah, that doesn't really matter that much, I'm just salty I invested too much in resources per second XD. The game has all you need in a clicker, the art is nice and I love the music. Simple but great entry!
Oct 10 16:57:23 20h 44m From Nothing To Nothing ♥ 1 Impressive stuff, great art, nice narrative, I like the text on the map. Cool concept of the game, I like your usage of the theme. Great entry!
Oct 10 17:12:47 15m 24s Grab your katana! ♥ 1 It's a great start with a new engine. The game isn't too sophisticated, but it is fun and works well :) Good job!
Oct 10 17:26:09 13m 22s Seed ♥ 0 Well, that was quite a trip. The battle with the sun sold it to me.
Oct 12 13:19:26 43h 53m The items, that change everything ♥ 0 Cool idea, the game lacks some polish. I'd like to see some more interaction trees and animations when choosing different options. Also some tutorial wood be good. I liked the ending.
Oct 12 13:45:37 26m 11s Hermitage ♥ 1 Some more stuff to do would be nice, the basics are there.
Oct 12 13:50:11 4m 34s Mighty Mighty Bot ♥ 0 The game is way too hard, even after using cheat mode it's not easy to win XD. The slow movoment at the start is kinda tiresome. I'm impressed by the the map, it's huge and makes the whole game really cool. Also upgrades are well made, I love the giant fist!
Oct 12 13:57:26 7m 15s Entanglement ♥ 2 Great use of the theme. The level design is excellent. Simple and fun game.
Oct 12 14:11:59 14m 33s Insert Title Text Here ♥ 2 The fading mechanic is just annoying, since restarting doesn't go well with the narration, because he is very delayed in relation to the player's actions. Also when the player goes right into the spikes after the checkpoint, he can easily go into them more times before he releases the key. And fading doesn't really add anything to the game. The idea with the narration is great. Nice job!
Oct 12 18:40:03 4h 28m White Starts With Nothing ♥ 1 chessnothing.PNG Cool idea.
Oct 12 19:04:46 24m 43s Nought - Procedurally Generated Dungeon ♥ 1 Yeah, after you understand the power of the bomb, the world is yours, since it generates more bombs. Nice gameplay, it starts to get repetitive after a few levels, but it is fun and the procedural generation is a plus. Not only bomb but also bullets aren't cleared when moving between rooms, so that would be good to fix, also maybe resetting enemies when you go out of the room, since they all appear even when you killed some earlier. The art isn't very pretty, but it gets the job done. Good job!
Oct 12 19:26:22 21m 36s Beating around the bush ♥ 1 AAAAA+ for effort. I don't know why such simple oldschool games are so immersive. Bonus points for similar take on the theme to mine one!
Oct 14 21:46:58 50h 20m Uballto ♥ 1 I love that a great idea was combined with really cool level design and overall execution. The game somehow reminds me of old flash games, probably done on purpose by aesthetic. Very cool project!
Oct 14 21:51:13 4m 15s I Forgot My Sword! ♥ 2 What a lovely idea! Very simple mechanics, but a lot of fun, nice level design, I had to finish it! Minotaurs are cute. And the outro is very funny!
Oct 14 21:54:06 2m 53s Nothing is the Key ♥ 1 Very original idea! There needs to be some kind of progress, like a few easy levels before current first one, because it'salready very hard, and the player must figure out what he has to do. But yeah, great take on the good old Sokoban.
Oct 15 08:04:45 10h 10m ModuMon - Barebones Edition ♥ 2 Original stuff. Some indication od where your character is would be nice. I had a bug where I couldn't see myself nor do anything, but the game was still going (maybe I died, but there wasn't any text about it). Also I couldn't deal any damage, but maybe I'm doing something wrong. Picking up different body parts feels rewarding and trying out combinations is fun. Good job!
Oct 15 08:10:23 5m 38s Scope Creep ♥ 0 Just like Dark Souls! At first I was confused about when do saved lifes remain on the map or disappear, but its makes sense that the red stuff restarts the game. I really like that you have to go back for the lost upgrades without any, it adds a level of depth to the gameplay. I had fun playing it, good job!
Oct 15 14:08:50 5h 58m Elaborate ♥ 1 There are some issues: - When you collect the first blue dot, you can easily go through the wall or get almost stuck in it, and skip part of a level. I did that accidentally. - You still live when you have 0% life, lol. It must be a negative number to actually die, which I do not think is intentional. - What are those green triangles? At first I thought they are enemies' bullets, but they don't deal any damage. They don't really add to looks of the game too. Still, the gameplay was fun for a quick play, level design was challenging, and the whole idea was nice. Good job!
Oct 15 16:15:04 2h 06m Blank Page ♥ 2 foundthemall.PNG I really have no idea how to activate all sixes. Super addictive game! The intro is great and the level design is insane, even though it feels a bit grindy. Maybe a bigger distinction between black and grey question marks would be good, cause sometimes it's not obvious to see. I really like this entry, great job!
Oct 15 18:51:03 2h 35m End With Nothing!...? ♥ 1 Clicking and blowing the stars is satisfying and the look of the game is nice :)
Oct 15 19:18:45 27m 42s All Aboard ! Thousand portholes ♥ 1 Counters of berries and wood would be good, collisions don't work so well, items are sometimes impossible to pick up. At first I thought I should fight with the zombies, but my attacks don't seem to be doing anything, so some information about it could be useful. Overall it was a nice experience, it had a start and finish and a cool quest, many mechanics done in a short time, so congrats for that!
Oct 15 19:28:20 9m 35s God of the Elements ♥ 1 - What made you play the game in the first place? - I saw the game in Randomise User's video and I liked it, haha - How would you describe the game to a friend with one sentence? - Evolution of the world in alchemy style - What was the most memorable thing you encountered? - The monolith! - What did you find lacking or would add in the game? - Multiple sectors involved in one task
Oct 15 19:30:22 2m 02s Super Cell Attack ♥ 1 It was awesome, one of my favorites! Very fun gameplay combined with cool art-style (the blobs are super cute), I got sucked into it :)
Oct 15 19:38:36 8m 14s Build up Speed ♥ 1 It's not very fun nor pretty, but it's a nice starting point in Ludum Dare compos.
Oct 15 19:41:35 2m 59s ØJE ♥ 2 Very nice artstyle, cool game.
Oct 15 19:44:41 3m 06s Nothingness ♥ 1 Ah yes, I love the good old GROW games and your game did very well in replicating their mood, especially for such a short time. It was a lot of fun, maybe a little too easy tu deduce the correct path, but on the other hand it's intuitive. And I like that the words start from NOTHING! Well done :)
Oct 15 19:48:42 4m 01s S͟t͟a͟r͟t͟ With Nothing ♥ 1 There are some interesting mechanics in the game. Interpretation of the theme is supreme, well played!
Oct 16 21:20:08 25h 31m Hobo VRawl ♥ 3 FINALLY a game where I can pet a weird bearded man!
Oct 16 21:24:00 3m 52s Null Is Zero ♥ 0 Amazing idea, I love it! I just wish there were a couple of easier levels in the beginning, because it gets hard pretty much right at the start. But it is fun and looks nice :)
Oct 18 14:08:22 40h 44m LD45_PickUpTheSword ♥ 0 Okay, I played the updated version and the walking speed is still too slow, I can't really maneuver near slimes. The damage from walking off the top of the slime is a bit frustrating. Maybe slower attacks from them would be a good idea, attack animations would be cool too. Honestly it's not a masterpiece, but this is a good starting point. Everything is pretty much there, just needs some tweaking. Dialogs, mechanics, UI, graphics, there's a lot work put into it. Good job!
Oct 18 17:27:48 3h 19m World Collector ♥ 1 I mean we've seen this mechanic in previous Ludum Dares, but in this game everything is so well put together, it could realisticly win the entire compo.
Oct 18 18:37:02 1h 09m SlingerDing ♥ 1 The art is cute :3 One thing that's lacking is highscore system!
Oct 19 20:46:08 26h 09m Bumparound ♥ 1 Honestly I don't really like the mechanics. Winning is mostly based on luck, as there are often either really bad scenarios when you get stuck and have to restart or nice ones when you stumble upon enough greens. Once you see green, you pretty much have to collect it, because often times you won't be able to return there later. It would be a totally different story if the levels weren't randomly generated and player could get to know them and prepare moves beforehand. On the other hand, the execution was good, the feel was nice, I like the little screenshakes and overall stylistic. I don't hate the game, it just wasn't very fun.
Oct 20 15:06:13 18h 20m Hello World ♥ 1 I don't really know what to do after the guide stops helping me. The help isn't very helpful either xD It doesn't say anything about ironwork. "Build" shows incomplete list of possible buildings, there's no ironwork which I already have built. Also there's one formatting issue:smeltery.PNG After I fullscreened it I saw that it was smeltery, but I still couldn't buid it nor get any help about it. The concept was great, with some polish it would be a really cool game!
Oct 20 15:31:05 24m 52s !Another Chance ♥ 0 It was actually very fun! What I felt was lacking were sounds. The feel of the game would be a lot better if jumping, cutting, talking or even walking would emit some sounds. The devil entrance was epic, dialogs were great, although sometimes I felt like there should be commas in some places. Trying out different scenarios was really fun. I'm not sure why do we die after refusing to help the old man with the second job, lol. Maybe the police in this world is too brutal XD Yeah, great entry!
Oct 20 16:42:29 1h 11m Ghost Memories ♥ 1 That was sweet! The puzzle was vary clever, as the solution wasn't obvious, I had to think for a bit and of course explore, which was fun. The art was pretty too. One thing that wasn't working too well was the menu. I had to click 'z' before 'x' to open it and close as well, also it sometimes overriden my answers. I really liked the whole thing, with sounds, music and some polish it would be a 5/5 :)
Oct 22 20:36:55 51h 54m An excuse for a game ♥ 1 I mean, at least it's SOMETHING :P Maybe one day there will be fireworks!
Oct 22 20:43:43 6m 48s RGB Zero ♥ 1 That was quite a lot to take at once at the start, lol. There wasn't much difficulty progression, but after a little time everything came together nicely. The final puzzle was fun although I solved it with a little bit of luck, also I beat the boss without being sure what I really should do. So yeah, my feedback would be that maybe it would be good to add some clarity or tutorial to it. Besides that a fun little game!
Oct 22 21:29:29 45m 46s HOBO RAMPAGE ♥ 2 That was awesome! <3 Very funny and very pretty, I loved the backgrounds. I was actually jumping behind their backs the whole time but in the end managed to beat the game. But yeah, the knife guys are quite unforgivable, haha. I think I found a bug. I tried to be clever and was shooting in my walking direction even without enemies, when I got to Stoseph Jalin. My hobo was on the other side of the screen and Stoseph wasn't doing anything, so after dozens of shots he fell down dead XD Only atfer that I moved right and immediately saw a cutscene and then got to fight him again. But well... two deaths of Stoseph Jalin are better than one!
Oct 23 21:23:53 23h 54m Escape with nothing ♥ 1 Randomly generated level is cool, but sometimes it places me in one room with the exit, so you could improve that. The graphics are a mess, haha, some consistency would be nice. Also I didn't know what the controls are and if I could do anything else than walking. But yeah, the idea was nice.
Oct 23 21:48:33 24m 40s Nullified ♥ 0 The size of the world was overwhelming, especially as there was a lot of empty space. It took me a while to find a gun and along with the sword that was all I could take. The snake was buggy as it's parts were floating in all levels, sometimes even in the spawn place. Gameplay was quite fun, I liked jumping monsters. The music was really great! It's a nice game.
Oct 26 18:47:57 68h 59m Qubit ♥ 1 It's a nice idea. I would really like some small levels, because the bigger ones sometimes seem to be difficult from the size than an actual puzzle. Also maybe going on the wrong tiles should be impossible?
Oct 26 19:06:12 18m 15s Button Runner ♥ 2 It was very good! The artstyle is GREAT and the gameplay addictive. Key bindings were a bit awkward, maybe letting the player choose them would be a good idea. I'm not sure what the autofire does, since it doesn't automatically fire xD Also fireballs aren't really crucial to the gameplay, but I guess it's fun to try out. I actually played it twice, it was really fun to me :)
Oct 26 19:22:15 16m 03s Faze ♥ 3 Nice! That was a meditative experience in some way :) The art is beautiful and the act of worldmaking is fun and calming. The idea is simple but well executed, initial puzzle with going around the screen felt great. Good job everyone!
Oct 26 21:34:57 2h 12m Tyler ♥ 0 winner.PNG Yeah, that was interesting. I was confused for the major part of the game, it needs a tutorial. The ideas were quite cool, with some polish it could be a very nice game. PS: You need to rate some more games if you want a bigger crowd here, the rating ends in 3 days and you're in a danger zone! Good luck!
