Oct 7 10:43:56 Purpose: Unknown ♥ 2 It's a great game for your first entry. Camera could be moved a little further away to make the player know where he is and where to go around the level, but there are lots of weapons, battle animations and you've even added leveling. Well done, and welcome to the Ludum Dare community :).
Oct 7 11:34:48 50m 52s Ant Wars RTS ♥ 1 You could make a multiplayer .io game out of this :).
Oct 7 12:17:52 43m 04s Robo-Fort ♥ 1 Well done, was fun to play. Like others mentioned, corner fort is the meta :). Snap 2019-10-07 at 14.13.28.png
Oct 7 13:16:41 58m 49s NoControl ♥ 0 Congratulations on your first game. The character has some cute animations, especially durning digging. Have you been inspired by the DLC quest by any chance?
Oct 7 13:55:24 38m 43s _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (twenty six blanks) ♥ 2 For some reason it is running at about 1 frame per 2 seconds here, what makes it unplayable. (Windows 10)
Oct 7 14:44:19 48m 55s HiddenThings ♥ 1 Short and nice. What blindness feels to blind people in a nutshell. You don't know that something is there unless you touch it.
Oct 7 15:38:36 54m 17s FactoriNode ♥ 5 Late recipes be like: Snap 2019-10-07 at 17.31.56.png You guys have got so much content in. Funny how such a simple mechanic of just attaching nodes with correct types together can be this addicting. It would be cool to not be able to place one node on another and start with a limited space, which we can only upgrade by buying it for enough money.
Oct 7 17:04:55 1h 26m Robogon ♥ 1 It gets better the more you practise. I myself had a habit to overdesign Ludum Dare games, which I've finished with maybe half of the total planned features. The key is to aim for a simpliest playable version of the game. If you don't see yourself making it in just one day, then it's a good idea to rethink the design. This way on the second day you have a playable game, and you can work on nice to haves. Still, it's a solid robot designer :).
Oct 7 17:44:47 39m 52s Slimy Situation ♥ 2 Slimy Situation.png
Oct 7 19:20:32 1h 35m Delta Test Site ♥ 2 Solid mechanics and idea. Like others mentioned, it has some of a walking simulator here and there, but the music compesates for it. Well done!
Oct 7 19:54:17 33m 45s Red Vs Green ♥ 0 Doesn't want to start here. Res folder is in the same folder as the jar. My specs: - Windows 10 - java version "12.0.2" 2019-07-16 - Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 12.0.2+10)
Oct 7 21:09:33 1h 15m In the beginning ♥ 1 Is it your first Ludum Dare entry? If so congratulations on finishing it and welcome to the community! Unpopular opinion: I liked the fact that the puzzle is not known on the start, and that you have to go around the level to think what you have to do to pass it. It's overall a solid puzzle game.
Oct 7 21:30:37 21m 04s Welcome to Nowhere ♥ 2 Ah yes, you've used the sacred music instrument. The best type of an instrument for the game jams. Nice entry for just 12 hours, props to you!
Oct 7 21:44:36 13m 59s Grab your katana! ♥ 2 Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare entry and welcome to the community! You had fun recording those sounds, haven't you? Especially the "oh no" one. It gets me every time.
Oct 7 22:06:57 22m 21s Build up Speed ♥ 1 Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare entry and welcome to the community! You've made an interesting engine selection. Windows forms make it feel like it is a good old windows 95 game.
Oct 8 13:38:19 15h 31m Monster herding ♥ 0 @ryu Thanks for uploading the WebGL version! Nice variation of a tower defense game, where money for turrets is not a problem, but their placement. I've found out a trick that you can do by placing the turret on the spawn tile, then moving one tile at a time towards the end, until you have the whole level in turrets: Oops.png Played in a normal way too, and both playthroughs were fun. Well done!
Oct 8 13:49:28 11m 09s NoGo45 ♥ 1 Was pretty fun to play! That ending with the atom bomb got me. I don't know what I've expected.
Oct 8 14:42:07 52m 39s Space escape ♥ 0 I played through a couple of levels and I've got some questions: - What are those items with the H letter that we collect? - Found an item that looks like a pick. I guess it was supposed to unlock attacking? - Does the level with the pick has an exit? You've got an interesting movement mechanic. You can do double jump by standing up from crouching, while holding the jump button, or walljump if you touch the wall when falling. Had lots of fun with those two! Besides that there's not much happening. The music in the background is nice, but very quiet. Since jam games tend to have loud sounds, requiring you to start them with system volume set to something between 10-20%, some players might not even know that it's there. Is that your first game jam game? If so congratultions on your first game and welcome to the Ludum Dare community. You guys have got a pretty solid entry for a first one :).
Oct 8 16:44:46 2h 02m Small Town ♥ 1 Now that's a gem right there! Feels like a game which you could release if you feel like spending couple extra days for additional content. I've enjoyed it so much, that I've decided to play again to see how far I can push it past the level 15: Gem.png Then my finger refused to continue cooperating. Couple of loose ideas, which have appeared durning playing: - There could be a building, which autoclicks from time to time - Could use a sell/destroy tower functionality - Make it possible to also collect resources with the keyboard, spacebar for an example - Since build menu takes whole screen, it could pause the game while it is open Well done on making a fun and good looking game!
Oct 8 17:18:09 33m 23s Meaningless Blob Slaughter ♥ 1 Got to say that it was an unique experience. Walking mechanics work like in the oldschool DOS RPGs, where one press is moving your character one tile. The game name surely checks out. @hcursino Nice one, I've chuckled at the Minecraft in hell.
Oct 8 17:37:45 19m 36s Prison Escape ♥ 1 Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare game! The font could be more easy to read, but it's short and fun. Well done. :)
Oct 8 17:59:54 22m 09s Nothing ♥ 1 Good music taste. Have the tracks placed inside the gift helped you to get through the compo? :) Solid, playable and fun entry. Good job!
Oct 8 18:08:55 9m 01s Alcindor the Alchemist ♥ 0 Game doesn't want to start, because OpenAL32.dll is missing. Is it possible for you to include this file in the download, or give a link where I can download this library?
Oct 8 18:37:17 28m 22s Beating around the bush ♥ 2 - Pico-8? lovely! - Solid game? Check. - Becoming a celebrity? Check. - AAAAAAAAAAA? Check. You've got it all. Congratulations!
Oct 8 19:02:20 25m 03s Hermitage ♥ 1 Welcome to the Ludum Dare community! Haven't seen a game like this for quite some time, where the character death is actually a win. That is as long as it's enlightnment death, not starvation one. Good job on finishing your game on time. :)
