May 6 20:49:42 Hi Pluto! ♥ 1 Neat, and decently hard! I think I made it up to altitude of 300 before giving up. Sometimes I would hit an asteroid *after* I heard the death sound (when it was at the bottom of my screen), and the next restart I'd start jumping upwards. Not sure if that was a bug of feature ;). Plays nicely for me in Chrome.
May 6 21:04:46 15m 04s Space Travel 15 ♥ 2 Fun little game! Like the simple mechanics. Also reminded me of Mini-metro, of course. A little too slow starting out before any interesting choices can be made. More upgrades (only got UFO capacity and airport capacity, not sure if there were others?) would be interesting (speed?).
May 6 21:13:29 8m 43s Rocket Roller Space Polo ♥ 0 Interesting little game. I spent quite a while trying to achieve escape velocity before actually figuring out what the goal of the game was (when the robot finally accidentally pushed the ball through the glowing line and gave me a score). I like the simplicity of controls and physics yet still feeling like I've got a lot of control.
May 6 21:16:55 3m 26s Planetoid Escape ♥ 1 I seem to turn *really* slow compared to how fast I move (spent most of the game holding a turning button, then just tapping W and going too far). Fun little game though, nice and short, and I won on my first attempt =).
May 6 21:55:11 38m 16s Gnome Digger ♥ 2 Great game! Love the music changes as you get deeper. I found the most precious gem of them all. Spent way too long digging =). Trampolines were cool.
May 10 16:55:27 91h 00m Internet Shooter - protect magical device! ♥ 2 That was fun! I liked upgrades, when I could see them. Display in general seemed buggy and had problems on my giant resolution (2560x1600). A sound when I (or the base) took damage would be nice, I didn't have much of a feel for how I was doing, until I lost ^_^.
May 10 17:10:22 14m 55s Little Space ♥ 0 Good little game! Good music and feel. I enjoyed building my city, but would have liked a little more feedback (how many people did I have? did I have enough beds, cantinas, bars?). Once I filled up my screen with rooms, didn't seem to be anything to do though. Got confused where whenever I clicked "intercept", it fired an interceptor at the top of the screen (probably from previous click on the intercept button, which did nothing visible), and then fired another one when I went to click on Bar or whatever.
May 10 17:22:44 12m 22s NES ROM - Arlington Apple in an Interplanetary Pickle ♥ 1 Fantastic! This game was quite fun, and I would have given it high marks even if it wasn't a NES ROM, but that is extra cool =). I managed to get to the end (without save-scumming ;), which was quite satisfying.
May 18 01:39:13 176h 16m Recognition ♥ 2 Quite liked this game! Enough that I played it once, failed with almost enough power, played it again using what I thought was the optimum strategy (just build 5 labs/mines, then once you've got the right amount (1875 Plotonite) just build 5 level 3 generators (won at year 2042, though was dinking around a bit), and then read comments here, and played it a *third* time to prove what I thought I figured out the first time ;). I'm sorry, but I think you're wrong about your factories and generators. According to in-game when I was playing: Generator * Level 1 (cost 200): 5kj * Level 2 (cost 275): 10kj * Level 3 (cost 475): 15kj boosted = 25kj Factory * Level 1 (cost 250): 5Pl -> 5kj * Level 2 (cost 325): 6Pl -> 10kj * Level 3 (cost 525): 7Pl -> 15kj boosted = 25kj So, it seems generators are strictly better than factories. As for boosting, I think at low levels it was a net loss, so I didn't build any in my second playthrough, but here it seems that a booster and 4 generators (80kj/mo) is the optimal build (5 generators = 75kj). Way to go, making a game that I cared this much about ;) Graphics were nice, liked the talking guys, although on my second playthrough with my "green" strategy of not making any mines or factories, the guy still complained I was depleting the natural resources of Pluto -_-.
May 18 01:52:59 13m 46s liftoff ♥ 1 Enjoyed this a bit, but once I found two close planets, it seemed there was no reason to go anywhere else, I kept bouncing between them for, uh, 67 trips, until I made 600 creds, and I retired =). Ship controls were difficult, but that makes them a bit rewarding when I actually land on something, but I spent a lot of time on my first (very short) game hitting the edge of the map before running out of fuel. I wished I had some indicator of what things might be worth ("is this expensive because I can sell it for a ton, or because I'm getting ripped off?") though I eventually just only bought things < 10 and that seemed to work fine.
May 18 02:03:55 10m 56s Micro Conquest ♥ 1 Nice game! I quite liked the feeling of painting the world my color =). Although I won in the end, a great man once said "never get involved in a land war in Asia", and I should have heeded his advice ;). Actually, the difficulty seemed trivial, I started as the only person in the Americas, they were all in Asia, and the AIs attacked each other so much by the time I got there they were mostly worn out... having a handicap for being a human player would be good. On second glance, it seems starting locations are random, maybe this will be more difficult if I play again starting near the enemy...
May 18 04:57:07 2h 53m Tower up ♥ 0 Weird mechanics, couldn't quite figure out how I could sometimes keep jumping up through falling stuff and sometimes they and me just fell down. Was kind of fun, but mostly frustrating when I suddenly found myself outside the castle on the wrong side and nowhere to go.
May 18 05:04:23 7m 16s Snake On A Plane ♥ 0 Fun! Good thing there were not multiple snakes on the plane. I reached 21. On #20, I definitely, absolutely, almost certainly, ran over the orb once, but it didn't pick it up. It was exactly on the edge of the grid pattern. Got it when I can from the other direction though...
May 18 05:42:13 37m 50s Conquestia ♥ 0 I'm confused why @mutfak-studios said about the graphics, I think they're beautiful. This game plays *just like Risk* in that I lost *9 out of 10* of my dice rolls! I played until I managed to defeat one neighbor (well, mostly someone else defeated them and I swooped in to take his castle, but that's how it goes!), might have to check out the post-comp version and play it more later =)
May 18 13:19:08 7h 36m Slimes in Panic ♥ 0 Nice start, would like to see it a little more finished. Graphics had a nice charm to them ^_^. Building roads felt pretty good!
May 18 22:54:33 9h 35m Escapist ! ♥ 1 This looked like enough fun that I even went and downloaded Java (luckily found a portable version that doesn't take over my computer...) ;). Nice game! I also won with a score of 823. Was fun building at first, then a little boring waiting for the escapist to build, as there was no requirement to keep my settlement going through that time (though for fun I gathered enough resources to start building a second escapist while waiting for the first).
May 18 23:03:26 8m 53s Ctrl + S the World! ♥ 1 Well, if nothing else, that is an input method I've not used before! However, was pretty awkward, my fingers would not let me swipe vertically in any kind of efficient manner. It seemed like the enemies mostly just sat there, occasionally flying after me, but often just spawning and not moving, not sure if that was intentional or not. I made it to 45 saves before I got bored ^_^. First time I played, it was full screen, or at least maximized, and graphics were a bit messed up (weird bar on the right, couldn't see all the text, and really hard to tell which cooldown counters were for which rows. Just now I launched it in 800x600 windowed mode and it's *way* better looking and easier to play, might be good for that to be the default =).
May 18 23:12:57 9m 31s Space Race ♥ 1 Interesting idea! Really difficult. It took me a very, very long time before I didn't die on my first jump, probably because it didn't seem like Q/E did anything, and I didn't realize I could maneuver after jumping. I couldn't figure out why Q/E and A/D were different keys, I kept on hitting the wrong one, seems like either should do the same thing (just depending on context)?
May 18 23:43:16 30m 19s TimeWars ♥ 1 That was... interesting. I'm relatively unfamiliar with the "Battle simulator" genre... was kind of fun to watch my army get destroy/wipe things out, but feel like I did not have any interesting choices to make, and the actual combat play felt very weak. The way the music worked was great and clever =).
May 19 00:01:46 18m 30s Islands in Equilibrium ♥ 1 Fantastic! Quite enjoyed playing this, made it all the way through, and quite enjoyed it. Only got stalled on one level because I was trying to do something tricky that was never going to work (on the... 3rd to last, I think... trying to let the forest scoot by to take over the mountain ranges before the city destroys them... didn't work, but would have been cool ;).
May 19 16:52:37 16h 50m Live or DIE! ♥ 1 Nice game! I had no problem with the UI, found it pretty intuitive. Found myself wanting to know how much population I had though (figure that would have been a good "goal"/number to make bigger as a player).
