| Aug 26 07:41:00 | Boxer's Seconds | I like the theme; it's an interesting twist. I just found the gameplay quite dull and drawn out. I suppose it might be better if I had a lot of time and weren't tired. :P | |
| Aug 26 07:46:00 | 5m 00s | Frost | The artwork is great. I only wish that the player would rotate, but given that the game is somewhat isometric, that's a tall ask. <br/> <br/>Also, I would've let the bar regenerate at a certain rate, rather than instantly, when inside the chopper. |
| Aug 26 08:22:00 | 36m 00s | 10 Second Crawl | A neat concept. I didn't seem to be able to use my sword though. |
| Aug 26 08:49:00 | 27m 00s | 10.00s...10.00s...10.00s... | Yeah, the wall jump is very tricky. Sticking to the wall for a bit, as Zephyr said, would help a lot. |
| Aug 26 08:59:00 | 10m 00s | Defense of Your Craft | Nice concept, even if I couldn't experience it in full (single-player). Took a while to get the hang of it. It'd be nice if the controls were displayed somewhere other than the intro screen. |
| Aug 26 09:07:00 | 8m 00s | Pube | Ooook then... |
| Aug 26 10:57:00 | 1h 50m | Grav Nav | Took a while to get the hang of, but it was actually kinda fun once I did. The controls are somewhat unpolished though. <br/> <br/>Couldn't get past level 7; there seems to be some kind of invisible barrier. |
| Aug 26 21:13:00 | 10h 16m | Lurker | The concept is quite cool, but it's a bit too tricky to control. The rotation seems off-axis a bit too, and it's pretty to stop yourself once you start spinning in any great measure. |
| Aug 26 21:20:00 | 7m 00s | 10 Seconds to escape | Gameplay felt decent, but only having a single level is certainly a problem. Also I would've really liked it if you could just hold down the arrow keys to move. |
| Aug 26 21:31:00 | 11m 00s | Combat Time!! | Ha ha, well this is amusing. The concept is good, and I like the chiptune music as well. |
| Aug 26 21:46:00 | 15m 00s | Grind | A great, hard game; the concept is very cool. Loved the audio too. |
| Aug 26 21:54:00 | 8m 00s | Boyfriend Simulator: Feed My Boyfriend | Very polished game, graphics are audio are great. Nicely done. |
| Aug 26 22:10:00 | 16m 00s | Five Seconds | I like the concept. The controls were difficult to use, mainly because of the really fast moving player. |
| Aug 26 23:50:00 | 1h 40m | Hackfield | Very confusing, especially at first. I'm guessing I was meant to collect those smaller bricks, and not run into the large bricks? It was somewhat enjoyable once I figured that out. <br/> <br/>The tutorial doesn't give you time to read the instructions. Also, I recommend not making players sit through that very long bootup sequence every time they want to restart. |
| Aug 27 00:00:00 | 10m 00s | Nelson | The music is great, and I like that "build-up" sound which plays in the last two seconds. <br/> <br/>As for gameplay, let's just say it's WAY too hard to kill an enemy when starting off. It takes nearly the whole 10 seconds to do so, and there's not just a few enemies, there's 10-15 of them. <br/> <br/>Also, I know it's probably the itch.io site, but having to go through a pay what you want system for a Ludum Dare game leaves a bad taste. I recommend just linking directly to the zip files. |
| Aug 28 04:27:00 | 28h 27m | Fleeting Reality | Well, it's certainly interesting. The atmosphere was somewhat disquieting, which is more than can be said for any other game I've played thus far. <br/> <br/>However, I find the concept is far too hard to grasp without reading the "spoiler", and even when you know what to do, the gameplay just doesn't feel satisfying at all. |
| Aug 28 04:36:00 | 9m 00s | Hadean Rampage | Wow, nice job! Probably the most fun entry I've played thus far. Graphics are very nice too. <br/> <br/>Having now played your entry, I'm confused as to why you took issue with me using a literal ten seconds (well, actually three sets of ten seconds) in my own submission, since you also use a literal ten seconds (in a different way, of course). <br/> <br/> <br/>Anyway, good job. |
| Aug 28 04:41:00 | 5m 00s | Ten Second Samurai | A nice simple game, with good art and fun gameplay. However, as others have said, the difficulty ramped up way too fast. |
| Aug 28 04:49:00 | 8m 00s | Cyanocide | Man, that was really fun, and the graphics are so aesthetically pleasing. <br/> <br/>I know you have a timer-based life system, but from I observed it's based more around 60 seconds than 10 seconds. Therefore I don't think it really fits the theme at all. <br/> <br/>Aside from that, great game. |
| Aug 28 05:08:00 | 19m 00s | Way of the Gun | Wow, I'm impressed. All around a well-polished game, with a great concept and graphics. The slightly dark/desperate atmosphere is very nice too. |
| Aug 28 05:12:00 | 4m 00s | Just 10 Seconds | The concept was confusing at first, and the character is pretty hard to control. I like the simple, minimalistic graphics though. |
| Aug 28 05:23:00 | 11m 00s | Frozen Braid | Your concept is excellent and the abundance of control of your soldier's actions is great (something my game didn't have). In practice however it feels somewhat bulky and convoluted (I guess the floaty controls don't help with that). Having two teams both subject to the dynamic system is really cool, but ends up being a bit messy I feel. <br/> <br/>But nevertheless, well done on getting such a system complete within 48 hours. |
| Aug 28 05:29:00 | 6m 00s | 10 Floors | It was hard to tell when I going to run into those red things. It's a bit too hard overall I think. And many times when it restarted, it would glitch out, saying "you are dead" are not letting me move. The graphics and audio are nice though. |
| Aug 28 05:34:00 | 5m 00s | Robotica | Nice stuff. Love the music. |
| Aug 28 05:39:00 | 5m 00s | Prelude of the Vorpal Blade | The pixel art is very nice, as is the music. A shame the game isn't complete. |
| Aug 28 05:58:00 | 19m 00s | NSA's Where's Snowden? | Wow, what an intricate game. I'm very impressed you managed to code a UI and SQL system within that timeframe. Must admit I didn't have the patience to see it through to completion, but I did experiment for some time (I think I missed the flight or something). <br/> <br/>Anyway, well done. |
| Aug 28 06:06:00 | 8m 00s | Lucid Journey | Good music and interesting graphics, but 10 seconds just isn't enough. The player doesn't move fast enough and the collision with objects seems buggy. |
| Aug 28 23:21:00 | 17h 15m | Where Lights Never Wander | The intro gave a nice sense of mood. It, in combination with the screenshot, kind of gave the impression that it would be a dark, moody game; thus I was a little disappointed when the game started and it turned out to be bright and happy. <br/> <br/>I like the concept though; it's a shame you didn't have time to flesh it out. |
| Aug 28 23:35:00 | 14m 00s | Card Smack | Once I got past that strange crash bug, I found the game terribly confusing (yes I read the tutorial). Somehow I ended up winning. The game doesn't seem to communicate much who's winning, apart from in the console window. I did like the graphics though. |
| Aug 28 23:42:00 | 7m 00s | ToTheRescue | That was awesome. Very fun. I love your use of the theme. |
| Aug 29 10:54:00 | 11h 12m | 10 Seconds to Apocalypse | Waaaay too hard. The controls are too floaty, and it seems one particularly bit is impossible to get past. Nevertheless it did keep me trying for a while, and the graphics are very nice. |
| Aug 29 11:10:00 | 16m 00s | S.T.D. | Well done on completing your first game. <br/> <br/>That being said, I found that the difficulty ramped up far too slowly, and it was too easy in the beginning. The collision and movement also seemed a bit buggy. |
| Aug 29 11:17:00 | 7m 00s | ROBOT PLANET | Damn, that was intense, and really fun. Probably my favourite game thus far. The audio, the graphics, the overall polish... it's all great. |
| Aug 29 11:25:00 | 8m 00s | Terminal 10 | Really like the minimalistic style. I have no idea how I'm meant to put the parachute on, but I quite enjoyed what I could complete. |
| Aug 29 11:44:00 | 19m 00s | North Exit | Ugh, I just can't complete that C puzzle. I've tried writing a C with both lights, moving in a C on the pad, jumping on the pad, moving towards all the light sources... nothing works. (Don't worry, I didn't rate your game.) |
| Aug 29 11:50:00 | 6m 00s | Mission Mars | Interesting platforming mechanics, though I'm not a fan of restarting the entire game. I thought by "start at the beginning" you needed to restart each level. :/ |
| Aug 29 12:13:00 | 23m 00s | Deadline | Wow, nice job. I had fun with this one. The mood was good, and you certainly put some effort into the story. |
| Aug 29 12:21:00 | 8m 00s | T-Minus | The graphics are good for the most part. The collision is a bit weird I think. Also, many times it would count down to 10, then the timer would reset and nothing would happen. |
| Aug 29 22:27:00 | 10h 06m | 10-Second Switch | Not entirely sure how it fits with theme (you mentioned something about 10 second difficult increases, or something?). <br/> <br/>It's good that you took the time to write music, though I did find it somewhat jarring. |
| Aug 29 22:32:00 | 5m 00s | You will die. | Wow, couldn't get past level 4. I like the concept of mouse control though. The minimalistic graphics are nice too. <br/> <br/>I'd say the death sound is too loud in comparison to the music. It was pretty jarring whenever it played. |
| Aug 29 22:55:00 | 23m 00s | Time and Time Again | Great theme, graphics and design. It'd be awesome with some audio. <br/> <br/>Problem is I have not a clue how to solve it, and I certainly don't have the patience to keep banging my head at this for hours. What am I meant to use for this anagram? The IOU message? The scratchings on the desk? The "test_" text on the other computer? |
| Aug 29 23:17:00 | 22m 00s | Moondrop | The aesthetics are nice. The controls are too difficult to collect all of them in time I found. |
| Aug 29 23:20:00 | 3m 00s | ESC: The Game, the Experience | I love the graphics, and the platforming is pretty solid too. I got stuck pretty soon into though. |
| Aug 29 23:28:00 | 8m 00s | Erfingi | Nice concept with the inheritance. The lighting and sounds certainly lend well to the mood. I did find it a little dull, mainly to running into no enemies after the first level (if I remember correctly). |
| Aug 29 23:34:00 | 6m 00s | Maze of Torment | Didn't last too long, it's pretty difficult. But an interesting concept, and you did a good job in making the place relatively scary. |
| Aug 29 23:44:00 | 10m 00s | Mechanical Madness | That was a really nice platformer. I really like the way you intertwined the strange powerups theme with 10 seconds. |
| Aug 29 23:49:00 | 5m 00s | MYHORIZON | Wow, that is such a cool concept, and implemented quite slickly too. |
| Aug 30 00:05:00 | 16m 00s | How Low Can You Go? | A cool concept. I had fun getting chased by those blue things. It doesn't really fit in with the 10 second theme though. |
| Aug 30 00:26:00 | 21m 00s | Off and On | A nice, simple concept. The lack of audio and a timer is a problem though. |
| Aug 30 10:24:00 | 9h 58m | Target Down | Well, I liked the shadows and the menu screen. I found the gameplay annoying as the enemy can see further than the screen and there's practically no cover any description. |
| Aug 30 10:37:00 | 13m 00s | Cyborg Rush | Getting the "main class main.main" error. :/ |
| Aug 30 11:42:00 | 1h 05m | Approaching Ten | The lack of gameplay, audio, and theme is a real shame, but I was amazed by the environment you constructed. |
| Sep 3 11:20:00 | 95h 38m | KunoNoOni's Magical Star Saga | Way too hard; it kind of felt unfair. I do the like the mechanic of jumping while falling, even though I couldn't really get used to it. |
| Sep 3 11:25:00 | 5m 00s | Point One Hurts | I'm not entirely sure what was going. I think I'm meant to collect those numbered blocks. Eventually they stopped spawning entirely though. <br/> <br/>Nice music and graphics by the way. |
| Sep 3 11:30:00 | 5m 00s | 10 Seconds to Doomsday | Interesting idea, although the connection to the theme is a bit loose. Although too easy, it was still somewhat entertaining to play, more than can be said for some games. |
| Sep 4 01:13:00 | 13h 43m | Corn PoP | Very interesting idea. The graphics seemed a bit off, but that might be because I'm playing it on a 2560x1440 screen (probably not a good idea to scale the SWF to the screen size). |
| Sep 8 10:16:00 | 105h 03m | Inherity | Although a little simplistic, the concept is very nice. Battle 3 seems to be impossible though. |
| Sep 8 21:05:00 | 10h 49m | Ten Seconds Is All This Should Take | Seriously? |
| Sep 8 21:39:00 | 34m 00s | Sleep Well | The graphics and audio are nice. Creates a good mood. Gameplay wasn't particularly fun; I think the movement was a bit too slow and clunky. |
| Sep 12 10:23:00 | 84h 44m | I Second that Motion | A very interesting concept, although I found it wasn't clear how to keep track of preferences and the like, so it mainly a game of chance for me. |
| Sep 12 10:28:00 | 5m 00s | The Thief Stealer Robberies | The traps are a bit unclear/random, and the controls feel very rough (I'd have preferred to hold down the arrow keys). If the movement were smoother and it had more levels I feel it'd be an interesting game. |
| Sep 12 10:37:00 | 9m 00s | Attack Force Deca | A well-rounded entry, with good variety. Got stuck on that bomber vs turrets one. The boss behind the turrets wouldn't take damage. |
| Sep 14 10:09:00 | 47h 32m | Time Crystal | The music is awesome, and I like the concept. The game moves too slowly however, and the mechanics (such as gem capture and how units fight each other) isn't clear. |
| Sep 14 10:16:00 | 7m 00s | Quartz | Very nice concept, good graphics, mood, and music. I did find the puzzles a bit frustrating, and it didn't take long to get stuck, but nice overall. |
| Sep 16 09:54:00 | 47h 38m | Zdeno | Far too hard, and very frustrating. From what I've seen it looked quite interesting; wish I could've completed it. |
| Sep 16 10:01:00 | 7m 00s | Use it wisely | Love the concept. Unfortunately it felt a bit too hard and the controls were way too floaty. |
| Sep 16 10:09:00 | 8m 00s | SF-1 | Interesting concept. It wasn't implemented the best, as stuff will often just appear out of nowhere and shoot you out of the sky, but despite that, I had fun. |
| Sep 16 10:11:00 | 2m 00s | Stahlholz | Yeah, getting that MSVCR100D.dll error like most others. |
| Sep 16 10:21:00 | 10m 00s | Antidote | Wow, definitely the best game I've played thus far, but I suppose that's to be expected. Professional and polished all around. Bravo! |
| Sep 16 10:32:00 | 11m 00s | mircale_ten_second | Nice concept. The AI seem a bit overpowered, as in, not smart, but just more powerful than you. |
| Sep 16 10:34:00 | 2m 00s | Mission Improbable | Do I really have to install the game? Or does that installer just extract the files to a specific location? |
| Sep 16 10:38:00 | 4m 00s | Eggyventures | Overall it feels rather unpolished. One of the biggest issues is that the score often isn't properly added. The hand drawn art is interesting though. |
