| Aug 27 02:09:00 | PixelVolution | I wanted to play more. :( | |
| Aug 27 03:12:00 | 1h 03m | Survuzzle | Is it possible to win by going to the right at all? |
| Aug 27 03:16:00 | 4m 00s | TOWER of Evolution | All of the characters and all of the hazards blended into the background, and it was very difficult to see anything. |
| Aug 27 03:29:00 | 13m 00s | Gravallax | I found this really, really difficult. Some balancing and playtesting would have helped to tweak it for players. |
| Aug 27 03:42:00 | 13m 00s | FronSkratx | Very innovative! I really enjoyed the concept. |
| Aug 27 03:44:00 | 2m 00s | NOAHS ARK 2 | --------------------------- <br/>NOAHSARK2.exe - System Error <br/>--------------------------- <br/>The program can't start because DevIL.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. <br/>--------------------------- <br/>OK <br/>--------------------------- |
| Aug 27 03:52:00 | 8m 00s | EvolBots (not EvilBots) | I think that the evolution theme contributed little to the game. By itself, the rolling-lots-of-balls-at-once mechanic is a really interesting one, and one that I'd be happy to play in a more abstract puzzle game. |
| Aug 27 04:07:00 | 15m 00s | The evolution of Blocky | This reminds me too much of tamagotchis from my childhood. :p Great pixel art. |
| Aug 27 04:24:00 | 17m 00s | Star's Requiem | I had some slowdown in the SHMUP bit (Firefox, overclocked quad core, 8GB RAM), and the movement sensation in the sidescrolling sections felt very loose. I would have liked to see more of your story if you had placed your text in a more prominent location (like middle-bottom, which is standard), and made it print instantly. |
| Aug 27 04:37:00 | 13m 00s | AntiVirus | Your Windows download link is identical to your Source download link. Is this intentional? |
| Aug 27 04:53:00 | 16m 00s | the Fisherman | Maybe I'm just thick, but it took me a good minute or two of pressing keys before I realised that I needed to buy a sail and net and so on if I wanted to actually do anything. Giving the player these basic by default would have made more sense, but maybe you wanted the player to scroll through your different ship parts to see the variety. |
| Aug 27 05:06:00 | 13m 00s | Refuse Annihilator | Excellent concept. It was rewarding to see the ships adapting to my preference. Autofire would have been nice. |
| Aug 27 05:17:00 | 11m 00s | Foodvolution | I'm having a heck of a time downloading this. Could you stick it on Dropbox or something and update your description with the link? |
| Aug 27 05:20:00 | 3m 00s | Tiny Life | What does the player do? |
| Aug 27 05:43:00 | 23m 00s | Advanced Evolutionary Tactics | I would have liked to play this without having to compile myself. |
| Aug 27 06:01:00 | 18m 00s | End Humanity! | I played it for seven waves, and had quite a bit of fun. Maybe a bit too easy? I took speed upgrades and one melee upgrade and just steamrolled everything. |
| Aug 27 06:12:00 | 11m 00s | VENA (Viral Evolution: Nano Attack) | Like you said, an indication of what the power-ups did would have been nice, but it is a fun game anyway. Kudos on making it for GBA! |
| Aug 27 06:17:00 | 5m 00s | Infestation | The ship movement is sloppier than you'd typically want for a game of this type (see Beat Hazard or Geometry Wars), which made it near impossible to play with any precision. |
| Aug 27 06:41:00 | 24m 00s | Darwin's Odyssey | I loved the 'extra' evolutionary stages, but stopped playing because the second stage after Modern Man (don't want to spoil other players) dragged on for too long. Still had a lot of fun, though, and I hope I didn't miss out on too much content by quitting early. |
| Aug 27 06:49:00 | 8m 00s | Species | Is there anything to do after you turn the lights back on, or are you just boned for all eternity with the Slender Man right outside the door and all? :p |
| Aug 27 07:03:00 | 14m 00s | Microraptor | A shame you didn't get more done, it would have been interesting to see how you'd use this model. |
| Aug 27 07:06:00 | 3m 00s | Little City | I ran out of power while placing a house (three houses, one park, one power station already existing), and a big "Epic Fail" flashed up on screen. The real fail is that this message would not go away. :p I'm running Firefox 14.01. |
| Aug 27 07:10:00 | 4m 00s | Harvest Doom | It was hard to know what to do. You should have mentioned that it was a Plants vs. Zombies tower defence game, because I started planting stuff in horizontal rows before I even knew that zombies were crossing the screen. |
| Aug 27 07:15:00 | 5m 00s | rEVOLution | I had a hard time connecting the theme to the game, and a less circuitous map generator would have been nice (although I am of the single-screen roguelike persuasion). |
| Aug 27 07:17:00 | 2m 00s | Candy Shop | I am so incredibly confused about what I am supposed to be doing. |
| Aug 27 07:30:00 | 13m 00s | Slimy Things Did Crawl | To be honest, I think there were too many buttons and too many possible behaviours. |
| Aug 27 07:42:00 | 12m 00s | DrumBeat Evolution!!!! | Could not for the life of me run your game (Firefox 14.01). Left it to load in the browser for about ten minutes, then tried downloading the .jar (but it wasn't executable, of course). |
| Aug 27 07:48:00 | 6m 00s | Dusty Balls | Great concept! I would have liked for a light or a particle effect on spikes, though, so that you could see them in the corner of your eye. |
| Aug 27 07:54:00 | 6m 00s | Attack of the killer cute things! | Great graphics and a lot of variety in the gameplay. I got fast tiny things that did 50 damage per hit. :/ |
| Aug 27 09:05:00 | 1h 11m | cosmic evolution | IT SOUNDS SO GOOD <br/> <br/>I too would like this on my phone. I was kind of hoping that the way you answered the questions at the start would affect the sounds that were played, but I heard no difference. |
| Aug 27 09:40:00 | 35m 00s | Constructilution | Your instructions lack specificity, and the building detection isn't transparent enough. "Make a building with logs as your main material." Cool, I'll just make two three-log walls with a log over the top. Doesn't work. :( |
| Aug 27 09:51:00 | 11m 00s | Bit-Craft Evolution | That's the first time I've seen someone use noise for a starfield, and hopefully the last. :p It hurt my eyes after a while. Also, your game is the third Geometry Wars-style game I've played today that didn't have autofire, and I was unhappy. <br/> <br/>Still, I played all the way to completion, so you're sitting on a good game here! |
| Aug 27 10:03:00 | 12m 00s | Dawn | Haha, great ending! Your art style is fabulous, and it played like an old-school point and click almost. |
| Aug 27 21:36:00 | 11h 33m | Good Morning World! | The text didn't print instantly — which is a pet peeve of mine because I am a fast reader — and there were some errors like effect/affect, and I think I saw the wrong your/you're. There was a lot of text, and when you died you had to sit through all of it again and mash Enter to make it go faster. |
| Aug 27 21:42:00 | 6m 00s | Dr. X's Rainbow Arena | I was able to play your game because I have a 360 controller, but why don't you have keyboard support? This game would have been more playable for me (in my opinion) if you'd had keyboard movement and mouse aiming, and you'd probably be getting more plays and rates too. <br/> <br/>I felt that using the controller triggers for firing was really redundant, and just autofiring towards the right stick location would have been nicer. |
| Aug 27 21:47:00 | 5m 00s | FruitMon | Nice art, but the game itself is very repetitive and unchallenging. |
| Aug 27 21:54:00 | 7m 00s | An Infection's Journey | It was unclear how I was supposed to manage my cells. |
| Aug 28 08:21:00 | 10h 27m | Place of Origin | I really enjoyed that. There were some seaming problems during movement, and I wish it was longer. |
| Aug 28 08:22:00 | 1m 00s | You ARE the RAIN | Please have autofire next time. |
| Aug 28 08:27:00 | 5m 00s | Reckless Abandon | I couldn't play for very long as the controls were too complicated. |
| Aug 29 03:26:00 | 18h 59m | Untitled Tower Game | Yup, I stopped playing at the impossible jump just after the slash. A pity, because I was really enjoying it. Would have liked some sound too. |
| Aug 29 04:34:00 | 1h 08m | Simulation | Could not run this on Windows 64-bit. It would freeze when clicking on Play, though the background music kept going. |
| Aug 29 04:37:00 | 3m 00s | Winding of Isaac | I don't own an Android product :( |
| Aug 29 04:40:00 | 3m 00s | AInts vs Robots | I had absolutely no idea of what I was meant to be doing. I tried playing with your instructions on one screen and your game in the other, but it didn't awfully help. |
| Aug 29 20:57:00 | 16h 17m | Death Cell | I never thought I would see a novel implementation of The Game of Life, but here we are! Great use of an existing system, truly inspired. I didn't find it particularly fun to play, honestly, but impressive nonetheless. |
| Sep 1 06:12:00 | 57h 15m | Tower Evolution | This was a good idea, but I did exactly what tupperwarespoon did, in that I used upgrades for the heck of it instead of actually needing them, or needing to put much thought into where I needed them most. |
| Sep 1 06:22:00 | 10m 00s | Space Worm | Very fun! I was a bit stuck at the beginning because I was spending all of my points on Wings, and had to read some of these comments to figure out what I was doing. |
| Sep 1 06:28:00 | 6m 00s | Bullet Evolution | I played for quite a while and didn't notice myself getting any stronger at all. |
| Sep 1 06:29:00 | 1m 00s | The Cycle | 200MB and an installer? ಠ_ಠ |
| Sep 1 06:33:00 | 4m 00s | Tiktaalik's Tale | To future downloaders: This is not a game, there is no meaningful interactivity to speak of. <br/> <br/>I know you were making a joke and all, but I don't really enjoy having my time wasted. |
| Sep 1 06:38:00 | 5m 00s | Obelisk Preserver | FOV was very narrow, so I couldn't play for long. Fun while it lasted. |
| Sep 1 10:55:00 | 4h 17m | Fend off waves of zombies with your evolving gun DELUXE | Please don't make an installer next time. |
| Sep 1 11:00:00 | 5m 00s | Squid-wyn Happily Cleans Up Creationist Propaganda | I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing. I saw coins, but was given no reason to collect them. |
| Sep 1 11:03:00 | 3m 00s | Oculus Battalion | I liked the art style, reminded me of Doom and Delver. The camera was too fast and the FOV too narrow, for my personal preference. |
| Sep 1 11:07:00 | 4m 00s | Simplex Evolution Tabulae Ludus | Interesting concept that would do well if developed further. Some irregularly-shaped boards would be kind of interesting. |
| Sep 1 11:13:00 | 6m 00s | One Day To Breed | Yours is probably the highest I've rated any game so far. The only thing I didn't like about it was that my cube animal would slow down or even get stuck when trying to climb hills. |
| Sep 8 20:59:00 | 177h 46m | evolution of monsters | Your controls are all over the place. Arrows to move and Space to fire, then Esc, and then you want me to click? <br/> <br/>Also, spellchecking please. |
| Sep 8 21:03:00 | 4m 00s | Tonality | That's a great idea! I had a really tough time playing it because I am completely unmusical, but this is quite good. |
| Sep 8 21:10:00 | 7m 00s | Vesuvius | I liked the graphics and I understood that taking damage should make me stronger, but that actual getting-stronger bit seemed a bit arbitrary. For example, I'd stepped in all of the lava pits I'd encountered to no visible effect, and then died when stepping into one more. |
| Sep 8 21:16:00 | 6m 00s | On the Origin of Block | I really enjoyed that. A more fluid control scheme, like clicking on blocks to select them instead of cycling through them all, would have improved this even more. |
| Sep 8 21:38:00 | 22m 00s | Evolution of a monster | Awesome art direction. What did you use to animate the sprites? |
| Sep 8 21:43:00 | 5m 00s | Dissolution | Using the word 'click' is incredibly misleading. Make the key prompts look more like keys and you can remove the word altogether. |
| Sep 11 20:48:00 | 71h 05m | EvolovE | I think more sound effects would have done well. For this type of game, the graphics were more than adequate; it reminded me of Space Invaders: Infinity Gene. |
| Sep 16 11:55:00 | 111h 07m | Harry no te mueras | Can't play, as not in English. |
| Sep 16 11:55:00 | 0s | Beyond The Lava | Very poor installation method. |
| Sep 16 11:59:00 | 4m 00s | Bacteria Infection | Game refused to run, even from command line. |
| Sep 16 12:10:00 | 11m 00s | Our FIRST Game, MiW | Cannot play. Doesn't get past the Creation screen in newest version of Firefox. |
| Sep 16 12:11:00 | 1m 00s | Psyco-Evolution | Link still dead. |
| Sep 16 12:16:00 | 5m 00s | Eat, Spawn, and Die - Organism Generator | Please make an executable next time. Not everyone has Python, or knows how to execute py scripts. |
| Sep 16 12:18:00 | 2m 00s | EvoR | Could not run this game. The executable returns an error: <br/> <br/>"Deployment and application do not have matching security zones." <br/> <br/>I'm not running it from a protected folder or anything. |
| Sep 16 12:21:00 | 3m 00s | Only The Fittest Shall Survive | It would have been nice if the game didn't start running as soon as the exe begins. |
| Sep 16 12:26:00 | 5m 00s | Flower o Doom | Better luck next time. :( |
