LD55 — Summoning (5)

Ultimate Summoning Guide by dreo 2024-04-23T01:13:57Z ♥ 1

Pretty interesting entry. I liked the different beasts, but couldn't quite figure out what the non-explicit villagers were asking most of the time.

The summoning system was simple, yet compelling and cryptic enough to sell the theme really well. Great job!

Potion Cooker by GeoStarGames 2024-04-23T00:55:28Z ♥ 1

Hey there, I couldn't collect the items by clicking them and the download link isn't working for my. Maybe upload it to Itch.io to guarantee the link doesn't get dropped? Would love to give this one a go!

Summon & Summoff by aa4z2 2024-04-23T00:49:38Z ♥ 1

Summoff! Haha that one is definitely out of the box!

Had a bit of trouble understanding the core mechanic, maybe make it explicit that you need to hold the click on the wizard? Eventually I got it though.

It feels like a puzzle game, but real time. Cool idea!

Cat-o-Conjurer by Aivaxela 2024-04-23T00:42:43Z ♥ 1

Amazing entry!

I almost died laughing when I saw the 4th cat flying out lol.

I think this one is pretty complete for the Jam, it can be played for quite a while even without a hard objective/end condition. I wish I could lower the volume/mute (didn't find it if it is in), but that is pretty minor. Great job!

Dread Dash: Rise of the Skeletal Horde by Plume 2024-04-17T21:01:08Z ♥ 5

Really fun! I played it before your adjustments and again now, great changes!

Incredibly polished for a jam and fun, great job!

Inside the Planet by victor_reiner 2020-10-10T06:25:56Z ♥ 4

Hello!

Feel free to ignore most of the things I point out due to jam scope, etc, but I’m giving feedback assumming you would keep working in the game. The rating I gave was with the jam context in mind though.

What I think could be improved:

The design of the levels is a bit rough, every time you die and restart you had to wait a looong walk until the point I am supposed to jump, if you put it too soon I can see it becoming a problem as well so good luck with the fine tuning! The time my soul took to reach the starting point was too long on some maps, I would suggest a fixed time and move the spirit faster if too far away I think you should hang on a theme in your levels for a little longer, when you guys introduced the dark level the very next one had nothing to do with the new mechanic

What I loved:

Beeeeeeeeautiful art style! Fantastic music! Perfect tutorial! So well done and polished you guys should just slap a few more levels and publish it, I want it on my phone!

Carman by steambrain 2020-10-10T05:57:47Z ♥ 2

Hey there!

I had no idea what to do until I read @honey-pony 's comment in the end, but the ending made so much sense that it is on me that one haha

What I think could be improved:

The blocks tended to drift away going to undesirable places (cemetery, to the left) I never knew when I would really get a reset

What I loved:

The theme was very well applied! The humor was fantastic! When the snake dude jumped away I almost lost it! Haha The narrative was pretty good! I thought you were too judgy on the chilex lifestyle until the ending slapped me with a life lesson, well done!

What I think could be improved:

The save stations NEEEEEED a confirmation sound, there were quite a few times I tought I had saved on a plataform only to die and respawn way back I also missed a button to kill myself. There were times I had to wait for my timer to run out because I would not have enough time to enter a new room Sometimes the furniture would stand in the way, maybe let us break the stuff for even more chaos! The key cards were a little hard to see, it would be cool to have an arrow pointing at them while they are on the screen or something

What I loved:

Daaaayum the game is almost feature complete! A few more levels and it would be near shipping status, fantastic job! The Hotline Miami style blended perfectly with the sci fi vibe The level you guys made was pretty good, great design!

Feel free to ignore most of the things I point out due to jam scope, etc, but I’m giving feedback assumming you would keep working in the game. The rating I gave was with the jam context in mind though.

What I think could be improved:

Some way to "scan" items that I need that are out of view, I had a run that I couldn't find any ice cubes before running out of water I think there should be a more obvious indicator showing wheter you are in the hot or cold zone of the planet, an arrow in the temperature bar showing what is going on could solve this Regarding the theme of the jam, I didn't really see much match with the theme

What I loved:

The concept art around the page is amazing! Using the sides of the planet illuminated by the star is really smart Cute animations and models

LD42 — Running out of space (1)

Outrunning Space! by drludos 2018-08-14T03:06:09Z ♥ 1

I had no idea this was possible, bravo! I super dig that runnning animation too, well done!

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres (1)

Fightin' Words - Real Typing Strategy by Eitrius 2018-04-25T02:25:45Z ♥ 1

At first the controls were pretty clunky but when I got the hang of it it was pretty fun! I would suggest a cooldown on the "Fire!" command though, the enemy army got decimated obliterated by my soldiers when I had a clear shot.

LD15 — Caverns (10)

Rex's Cavernous Survival Horror Game Thing by doohan

Really becomes quite unfeasable to play once you run out of ammo and new ammo doesn't spawn in a reachable location.

Caverns of Light by NiallM

Good idea, pretty good execution (very good for 48h). I generally like the gameplay but agree with others that the lightboxes are rather difficult to place. Nice walkthrough :)

Into the Pit: The Endless Caverns by mklee

Really entertaining game :) As others have said, juggling the bats is awesome.

Cave Diver by ondrew

I do like the shark death effect; but I also got stuck on the room with the three tentacles. The screenshot for this game looks deceptively nice; I'd say it looks a bit less good when playing it ;) - still pretty good though.
This would be a lot more fun if you restarted on the current screen rather than from the beginning; that kills the fun for me (after being tentacle'd a dozen times)

Cave Jimmy by SpaceManiac

It's sorta like a cavern. With trees :)
There could be a game here, but it needs a bit more.

DiggR by drZool

Flood mechanic is quite interesting; I especially like the graphical effect, obscuring things based on how deep the water is :)

Super Bean Kid by dstrysnd

Hm, Unable to download (9/12/2009)

Cave Dangerous by fydo

Very short - I was amused by the sound though, and the bat, and you have some interesting collision problems when jumping into the mountain :)
I was disappointed there wasn't a bomb sound effect though.

Cavern-Ball by prmottajr

I find the graphics a bit grating; but this is a decent functional pinball game, if a bit small.

Lost Whelps by Chris Zamanillo

Or just hold W to fly :)
Not a fan of the installer, but I understand why it exists at least :P
Would have been nice to see this go further, looks pretty good.

LD10 — Chain Reaction (1)

TheCrawlyCrab by baggi

Controls were fine for me, except the crabs were far too unresponsive and the crabs got sick a bit too fast. Good effort anyway.

Nice music, but I think it would be better with the music in the game instead of on the title screen. I did not notice the music before reading these comments.
