WELL DONE! I love the art so much and the idea was awesome. The little details are great too like the music player. My complaints are there are a lot of typos and weird vocabulary errors here and there and the gameplay is a bit confusing.

Excellent entry ! Special mention for the animations that I really like ! I took a bit of time to understand the gameplay, and there was an audio issue with spacialization (Albeit the music and sound effect and really nice !), but otherwise, I had a lot of fun playing this game and took my time to understand my chances of success with every new human coming to my powerful self !

I can't help but be reminded a bit of 'Papers Please' ;)

Good job !

Nice concept :D I'm not sure, if the game has a win condition, since you could go on forever, as long you check the rates and avoid too expensive and risky jobs. Only other thing that could improve the game would probably be a way to fast forward the text^^

Thank you all for the feedback! c:

About the text, I think this can be useful: To fast forward you can click on the screen (will appear all the text), once all the text is on the screen, you can click again to jump to the next dialog :D

I have no idea what I was doing because the writing doesn't make sense (I'm assuming English is not your native language as the grammar was all over the place) but the music, visual design, cutscenes, and UI were all fantastic and totally worth rating very highly. An interesting take on the theme and some interesting mechanics at work (I figured out that I was supposed to take a chance on the contract being fulfilled or not, or just taking their soul there and then) with some good balanced risk-reward. Really impressive for something made in a weekend.

Definitely a unique game that fits with the theme. It was fun turning people into skeletons, but I couldn't figure out what the overall objective of the game was. I was able to harvest some organs. Whenever I tried to negotiate, it always seemed to fail. The music fit the theme and the animations were well done.

In short, I'd say you have really high presentation values, but the gameplay was a bit lacking. The graphics, the sound design, the voice acting, the style and humour, it was all there. But playing the game was a very slow experience. First I have to watch the door opening cutscene, then I have to talk to the person, then I have to talk to the cat, then maybe I have to watch a bargaining cutscene, then I have to watch them sign the document... it's just a very long time from start to finish with not enough payoff at the end. Personally, I would make the person automatically say their lines, and once they're done, have the chance of success pop up above the cat's head and descriptions pop up above the ... thing. Everything shows up at once, and it turns three or four clicks into one.

Speaking of that... thing: what exactly was the purpose of its desciptions? I thought it might be for bargaining but I couldn't get a pattern down.

Didn't really understood what makes a good or a bad deal. Could be an interesting game but lacks explanations imho. Other than that, the art of the game is five stars for me! Very good work!

wow this looks and plays so good, you deserve more ratings!

dovakla 2019-05-21 17:37

The graphics, music, and sound effects are all great, but the gameplay was pretty slow and repetitive. It was a lot of clicking on the cat to skip through all of its dialogue. I couldn't tell if the person's dialogue had anything useful, and some of the things the thing on the right said didn't seem to correspond with intimidating/seducing. I think the concept is interesting and I like the mechanics you have, but it could be streamlined a lot and, with more time, could have more variety. Still very impressive for a jam game, especially visually.

This game is one of the best ludum dare entries! I love this game! Here are my thoughts on it: 1) The way 'Lord Stan' snaps his finger and they disintegrate is so cool. 2) The idea is so unique and fresh. 3) The art style is absolutely beautiful. 4) OMG, the music goes so well with the game 5) The only thing, i couldn't understand is how to play the game. Maybe an intro could have been nice on what I should be doing as the 'Manager' of the soul bank!

criobite 2019-05-21 18:58

It has a very unique style to it, and I think the various pieces of the game fit together pretty well. I especially like the cat, it looks cool.
