Hi everyone ! Thanks for playing our game ! We are super happy with all your feedbacks and I'd like to answer to some of them.

@bocchi-dev Yeah we've found some bugs with the ghost and the rewind features and I'm starting to search how to fix them !

@pink-shard-games We don't really focus on the camera, it's true and it can hit the gamefeel pretty bad. But we thought that the result we had was enougth for this jam. We also started to think how we could increase the game readability with some effects (for example, an invocation animation/effect to show where the player start) and some of our effects doesn't match correctly with what will happen (for example, the ghost path is one case too long and it's really really confusing).

@condesluck Absolutely ! We've planned to make that shocked animation but we had some issues with the animations and we've finally decided to kill the feature. But we had the idea yeah ! I think I can had some small feedbacks to help understanding that you can't go backward, it's almost impossible to know right now that you can't do that.

@jamesor It's true that we doesn't have any stuck verification ! I think it could be added easily. For the moment, if you are stuck, you can pause the game (with escape, classical) and click the retry button.

Ok seems like I'm the first one to test your game so... Nothing works. At all. You made a webgl build but if we open the index.html file nothing happen. The windows build start a game but I tried to click everywhere, to use my keyboard nothing happen except your corona particles falling and a game over screen showing. If you fix thing up, poke me and I'll give it a new try.

So ! The graphics are clearly the big point of the game, this mix of 2D and 3D is refreshing ! About the gameplay, the level design is a bit weird and clearly complex to plan and defend, the game idea is simple but that's not a flaw at all. I think I've experienced a bug : the tutorial worked well but when I start a real game, the enemies stayed outside the village :/

So ! Great entry, congrats ! Some tweak are necessary to completly enhance the experience (longer invulnerability frame when dodging, less HP on the pink monster, cause it's not really a challenge but gosh... It take like forever to kill !) and I nearly quit the game before getting the sword because your pathing is way too long and way to empty (I almost thought that I was on the infinite stairs of Mario 64)

Good work ! I was able to complete the game (I think, I found an other opossum and nothing happen X)). I saw some SFML files, that means homemade engine game ! I know how it's challenging so I'm not picky on the lack of global feedback. The "play dead" sprite made me smile :)

Pour le lien au thĂšme, on avait prĂ©vu d'avoir des effets sur les potions les rendant d'avantage instables mais j'ai manquĂ© de temps pour implĂ©menter le systĂšme, peut ĂȘtre dans une V2 ! English version : Thanks for playing! The artistic team loves your feedback :) the game needs a little bit of Gameplay tweaks it's true! We planned to add some effects on potion to give them more instability but I ran out of time and can't implement the system, maybe in a V2!

@landosystems I'll fix the inputs tonight, like I said it before, the key mapping match a French layout and the classical wasd is zqsd. I'll test the ps4 issue but it seams pretty strange to me that it launch steam VR, it's probably something on your side more that in the game but I'll check that too!

Hello ! Last night I worked on a batch of quick fixes based on your feedbacks. If you want to give it a new try @federico-giorgi, @elbowgeese, @pimeko, @landosystems (thus I hadn't the time to check the PS4 controller issue but the mouse and keyboard inputs are fixed !), @purpledartfrog (No clue for your directX error, some people justs restart the game and no more issue. Maybe something with your graphics card drivers ?), @agushmar, @hiisileiri and @zazz0000. Thanks all for that and for helping us to push our game in a really good way !

If you're still interested in, we plan to create a "director's cut" of our game after the jam, with all the ideas we hadn't the time to integrate !

Hi @davision ! Yeah the gameplay is pretty simplistic, originaly, we planed to add what you're suggesting but as the time was ticking we had to make choices and we cut some features. Keep an eye on our projects, we will release a "director's cut" after the jam !

@fluffy-kaeloky could you tell me a little bit more about your issue? (have you tried to play with a controller? Which controller? Have you tried to play with your VR gear disconnected?...) That's strange cause we didn't implement any VR feature in it :/ I'll try to find a fix in the next 24h-32h!

Yeah maybe @lazyseal, we'd like to had some diversity on how to handle the bottle (go fast before it explode or go slow to avoid to shake it too much...) add some processing in the preparation (mixing some herbs for instance) and of course making hardest recipe :)

@kristoph on est parti sur un jeu simple pour laisser libre court Ă  la crĂ©ativitĂ© artistique (et aussi parce que j'Ă©tais le seul programmeur donc fallait faire des choix X)) je serai curieux de savoir oĂč tu as rĂ©ussi Ă  te coincer. On a encore quelques aspect UX Ă  voir en effet !

@concker-88 alors on a bien rigolé avec ton message et en effet on a pas du tout fait attention à ça X) y a plein d'autre soucis d'habillage d'ailleurs ! Mais le rush (et au moins notre tactique de déstabilisation de joueur a marché mouahahah). On a plein d'idées pour augmenter les situations de Gameplay :)

@fluffy-kaeloky That was the base idea yeah! We planed originally to have different way of transporting potions (going fast or slow to avoid potions to explode) or adding some extra mixing step (mix a blue and a yellow to obtain a green one for example)

The art was great but I'm not really client of this kind of game. Some choices were really morally oriented and characters descriptions were a little bit... Offensive (from my point of view). I won't make some therapy theory here but if you want to help people, you probably shouldn't taking them down at first sight. But still a good game :)

Vraiment du beau boulot les gars ^^ c'est super joli, c'est comprĂ©hensible et le thĂšme est lĂ  Ă  100%. La charge d'info Ă  gĂ©rer est lĂ  pour qu'on finisse toujours par oublier de faire un ptit truc et paf... Game over. Les quelques petites amĂ©liorations que je vois qui changerait tout et rendrait l'expĂ©rience encore plus agrĂ©able : - Un SFX quand une des jauges devient critique (que ce soit la jauge des chasseurs, du cycle jour/nuit ou mĂȘme de celle du sang quand elle est pleine) - Un design peut ĂȘtre plus dĂ©tachĂ© des autres bĂątiments pour le manoir (je suis passĂ© devant quelque fois sans trop le diffĂ©rencier lĂ  oĂč les autres lieux d'interaction sont bien dĂ©finis et reconnaissable du premier coup d'oeil) - Au niveau level design j'aurai placĂ© le manoir au centre pour faire poper des prĂȘtres de tout les cĂŽtĂ©s et forcer d'avantage le joueur Ă  se dĂ©placer dans toute la ville

En tout cas GG ! C'était super chouette !

@nescience yes exactly, but made in two days, with more bugs and a lot of fun while doing it :) I don't think you'll complain with all the tower defense game this theme will bring. I agree that we maybe don't twist enough the base concept, we focused first on making a playable and complete game.

@ldp I'm thinking how to play with this basic idea and add more games in the game (like the dungeon phase in the first reigns). I'm pretty sure there is some cool things to do ^^

@aerloth the sink is not on fire 😂 it's tentacles. Don't take the joke about the northern France first degree, it's a typical clichĂ© that we had here (like a lot things we wrote for this game, it's fulllll of clichĂ©). Our game system allow us to have some extended stories but the feature appeared lately and the writing was almost finished. So it was hard to add it in the lasts mi nutes. (and you are not the first one telling me that they think it was a Discord game XD)

Thanks for playing :) * About the cards, it's a real easy fix, I never imagined that with amount of cards we made I'll had to do it X) that's all * Our game is not balanced at all and it's a real problem (I need to do stats to track how much every god is affected). A good add could a be downward spiral mechanics : the worst it is, the worst your cards will be. * I had many feedback about the controls. In facts I was lazy and didn't wanted to make the swipe system to focus on the core gameplay, so I just plugged two inputs with a secondary click to confirm a choice. It confuse many people (some of them didn't understood that you have to possible choice, one on right and one on left and that you could choose the one you wanted). All our choices didn't match the "agree" / "disagree" pattern and during the writting phase, everybody didn't choose the same input for the same choices. * Using unreal for this is completly overkill I know ahah but it was the only tech that everybody know in the team and it was also the only one installed on our computers X). We decided to use that before the jam and before knowing the theme (the other members of the team are all 3D artists so naively I thought we will make a 3D game.)
