@LucasMolina it's a reasonable point.
I'm not expecting to do well in the Audio category anyway in terms of the competition. But Audio design (not specifically the music, but the overall audio production) is something I would like to get better at and it's nice to find out how well / not-well i'm doing at that, so the ratings are useful for me. if (by some fluke) I do quite well in that category then i'll ask Mike to N/A my rank after the fact. :)
For the same reason that I'm not opting out of "graphics" despite using "third-party" artworks.
I really liked the graphics used, the low poly style looks really nice especially in the browser. Some of the combat was a little hard to understand - I was never able to successfully kill a beaver :(
The turn-based mechanics seem to work well and the map reveal is cute!
Interesting use of gravity! I wasn't quite sure how it decided when to switch games - maybe every time you scored a goal/try/etc would have worked as a mechanic?
The art style is fantastic, got a great retro feel to it. Concept of the game is great too, tight controls, little bit of a pain playing on a track pad though
Cute! I like the graphical style, it all works together.
Some of the platforming is a little bit finnicky, especially since you're supposed to be a bird - some kind of glide mechanic would be nice so falling off isn't quite as punishing!
I think this is the most Fun(tm) I've had playing a game so far. I thought I had found a bug when I typed "flapppp" and kept flapping but the description says that's a recognised move.
* FLAPP - can be used to move like Flappy Bird except slower. Repeat as many times as needed. * DIVEE - essential for the quick under-over.
* SPIT - can't really see how this one is beneficial when you can normally just fly over or under something. If there isn't room to fly around it then you were probably going to die anyway. * DASH - likewise, just FLAPP instead.
* FLAAP - Strictly worse than FLAPP. Does the same amount of flappage but isn't repeatable.
Very cute game. A good implementation of an on-rails shooter, especially for the time frame. It's a bit annoying that you can get hit by enemies after moving from place to place, so you can't see them any more.
Well done!
This game plays really well and the puzzles are interesting. I might have at some point accidentally held down X and skipped right to "Well done!" ;)
There's sort of a real-time frogger vibe. Jin as a pretty easy time of it, most of the cars stop for him! (Though in real life there'd probably be some horn honking!) Poor old Jang.
Overall the game's not too difficult. The graphics are funny and consistent, and the music is very listenable. Good job!
Really cute game! I like the idea and it plays well. The audio and graphics are both lovely. Sometimes I felt a little bit constrained by the cards I was given, but that's all card games I guess! Great job :D
Interesting take on the "playing with perspective" idea!
Sadly the controls really did hamper some of the gameplay. Especially when making a platforming game, the ability to reposition yourself by small amounts is essential. It can get frustrating when you can see the solution to a puzzle but can't complete it because of the controls.
Really cute! The puzzle is a classic pipes-type thing and the tower-defense provides an interesting clock, since it requires you to get as many online as possible, as fast as possible. I was able to beat level 2 without turning on the final one or two cowboys.
I'll take any excuse to listen to The Entertainer! ;)
I'll try to offer some useful feedback because you said it would be helpful: * The game is fairly fun and it plays quite well. * .Good use of camera lerp for multi-rooms, makes it feel quite polished. * Tightening up the player movement mechanics might have made the game feel quite a bit juicier. * Some of the graphics feel a little bit inconsistent, especially the shadows. I don't know if there's an option for "sharp" shadows in unity? * The font is quite hard to read, especially in the multi-line blurb at the start of the game. * I got stuck after running out of cards before fighting the red guy in the "basement" of the saloon.
All in all, a decent game which has visuals, audio and is actually playable. Well done!
Very playable! Shame there weren't any other people playing along. I completed the "Planets" page solo. Excellent implementation of a word search.
Really cool idea! It plays a little bit slow though. Speeding it up 50% or so would make it a lot more playable.
Nice work!
This is hilarious! Honestly I failed to get more than 2. But I really enjoyed the futility of trying to do this obviously impossible task.
Maybe giving the soccer balls the *tiniest* amount of friction would have make the game easier. But then would it have been so funny? :D
Cute idea! Some kind of "undo" button or more direct way of controlling how the program is put together, would have really helped. But it's fun and I think with a bit of polish it could be great!
Pretty funny, and I think you win for "ideas that nobody else thought of"!
