Hey, there is something funny about the Itch.io page: Our system has flagged this page for additional review due to potential suspicious behavior from the page owner.

rezonanc 2026-04-20 19:39

where is the game?

mezaka 2026-04-20 20:17

I hope all issues with the download should be fixed now! I cant do anything about that itch flag though :/

oddballdave 2026-04-20 20:34

This is so polished. And I don't just mean the visuals. Great work on that for 72 hours. The gameplay is interesting too with the whole indirect controls in the lighthouse to indirectly control the ships in the harbour. The narrative/setting was also interesting and had me wondering about 'the man' automating all those lighthouses. I did have a couple of nitpicks. The font was hard to read, especially so as I'm dyslexic. I'd have liked to have been able to turn the cranks with Q/E as well. But they are only minor quibbles. Great work :8ball:

pres2300 2026-04-20 22:34

Nice work getting this done! It fell fairly fleshed out. It was also intuitive how everything worked. I enjoyed crashing ships to get money. Nice job!

theoratkin 2026-04-20 22:38

Really really well executed game! It sells the lighthouse fantasy pretty well; I enjoyed controlling the light with cranks and using the horn. A few difficulties I had:

- I accidentally skipped some tutorial text (I didn't expect that clicking anywhere would skip it) and didn't realize that you need to press the start button. I tried at first to navigate the ship that was swimming in the bay and wondered why it didn't react

- It's not entirely clear how to guide several ships at once, since they have different starting positions and speeds. It seems you always have to pick one and have all others crash, which is a bit unsatisfying.

- The top floor gives a better view but is a bit pointless, since you can't access the radar, the mop and horn from there.

Those are really nitpicks and didn't make the game any less enjoyable for me. Very polished game and super impressive for a 3-day jam!

@theoratkin Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! Yeah some of the gadgets ended up being a bit less helpful than intended ^^ But we just wanted to try them all!!! Thanks again for playing!

xotraz 2026-04-21 01:36

I could not really get what I was supposed to do, I did not know how lighthouse works :interrobang: , but I can see the amount of work.

mezaka 2026-04-21 07:33

@xotraz You have to admit new ships by pressing the big start button on the radar station. THen use the cranks to guide the ships with the light to a green lit fort. They follow the light like moths ^^ Not really how lighthouses work, but fun as a mechanic!

beareye 2026-04-21 09:05

crashed a couple of ships passing by! Very well made and polished game, I was surprised by the visuals and game feel. Special thanks for the optimization, this game runs perfectly on my laptop, even though It has stunning visuals! Good job!

bloham 2026-04-21 10:56

I miss the sound effect when cleaning the window. Also the upgrades were not clear to me always. But its such a fun game! You really managed to get a good core loop and set new challenges that get harder and harder! Good job!

xotraz 2026-04-21 12:13

@mezaka Thqnk you, I managed to crash a ship!

mezaka 2026-04-21 12:53

@bloham Haha a window cleaning sound effect would be cool indeed! Thank you so much!

snk 2026-04-22 17:42

Very very very nice! After a few (dozens) ship wrecked the commands became natural and with the upgrade system the replayability is surely a value! Also the graphics and sounds are impressive for a 72hr jam. It was very immersive and a nice experience overall! :)

mezaka 2026-04-22 21:55

@snk Thank you for your kind words! We are really happy you enjoyed it!

fifut 2026-04-23 19:45

I love the Myst visual style. A really good game for a game jam.

It’s quite easy to figure out the aim of the game. I jumped when the sound of the first boat exploding rang out

vinnnie 2026-04-23 20:52

Great use of the theme. Great idea.

metalim 2026-04-23 21:00

Fun, but hard to master. Windows become dirty pretty fast, visibility is very limited. Purpose of upgrades is unclear. But the mood and fun are high

mezaka 2026-04-23 21:13

@fifut Haha glad you enjoyed crashing them! That was the part of the pitch that got us locked into the idea ^^

@vinnnie Thank you so much!

@metalim that's fair! I think some of those upgrades sounded better in our head than they turned out. Would definitely be more selective if we extended this.

jk5000 2026-04-24 13:12

Needs a bit introduction, but else a fun a pretty well made game. Well done.

fassenberg 2026-04-24 14:46

The idea is pretty cool, but it’s not very clear without an explanation. I did enjoy destroying the ships

pawel-waligora 2026-04-24 19:24

Very interesting concept. I haven't played anything like this before. Though at first i didn't know where ships were comming from. And also ships rotate instantly towards the light, which can make them crash after a slightest move of the light when they pass nearby a rock. It sometimes can be a bit flustrating, when directing ship away from a rock actually makes it crash. I like the ship variety. I also like how unergonomic the lighthouse is initially, it really plays well with the upgrades. Also the obstacle ship poses a good challange. Overall quite nice.

rend 2026-04-25 13:13

It's an interesting take on the theme. There are other entries I've played where you guide ships, but yours is quite unique as you have to blow up things. I wish the pacing could be a bit faster, but the upgrade system is so well thought. At first I was like, why did they made the glass so dirty??? But then going around and upgrading your lighthouse feels super rewarding. All the unlocks are useful . It's sometimes quite difficult to gauge the depth of the ships when there are islands in between, but I guess that's the price you have to pay if you want an immersive first person view. I could really see your game expanded into a full commercial game (maybe something similar as the upcoming PVKK?). Good job on your entry!

mibi88 2026-05-01 16:38

Nice game! It's impressive that it's in 3D. It makes it with the sound effects really immersive. I took some time to understand it. I found it quite confusing at first, to not be able to guide the ship that is moving back and forth in the distance.

Overall it's well done and quite impressive.

rewzu 2026-05-02 11:46

Amazing idea and execution. The mood is great and the gameplay quite fun. I like the audio and the graphics. Fun entry! :D

partialmoon 2026-05-03 09:58

This is such a cool idea and, as another commenter pointed out, it is an amazing execution of this idea! There are so many little details that add a lot to the atmosphere, and the sound design is awesome! The metallic ring of the footsteps and the overall sound design is really immersive. And the graphics are also awesome. And I like that you can upgrade your lighthouse, and I like how you implemented the upgrade system in the world around you. The controls are fun and also add to the atmosphere of the game. It's cool how you physically control the light. And the reactions to crashing the ships are also funny!

mezaka 2026-05-05 19:41

@jk5000 @fassenberg @pawel-waligora Thank you so much! Yeah we will put some more focus on the onboarding experience next time. It is definetly still to complicated to get into! :eyes:

@rend Thanks for the detailed Feedback! Yes! Once one of our team members mentioned the ship crashing we were all immediatly sold in the idea :D Destruction is just inherently super fun! We definetly took some PVKK inspiration!

@mibi88 Yeah that Ferry was a bad idea in hindsight! We will try to avoid that confusion next time

@partialmoon Thank you so much!!! We tried to go all in on that immersion!
