A full-blown settings menu and a working terminal! Are you kidding me?! Best atmosphere from the games i played so far on this jam! I do very much agree with previous commenters. The game is very polished, but short. I loved all the little details.
I only really had one issue: the game was slowly getting laggy and unresponsive over time (I played on Firefox).
I liked the music and artstyle and the choices that you have to make, they really make you think weather to listen to the instructions or to disobey.
Gameplay wise - i wish there was more challenge to decoding the signals. For example a minigame that requires precise timing or a tiny puzzle. Does not have to be sophisticated, just enough to make game more exciting.
Unfourtunately the radar stops displaying anything after second signal of day 2. I don't know if i am doing something wrong, or is this a bug... You also have to watch out with pixelized fonts, as they can be hard to read.
I am a bit confused... Can i fight back against the sea creature?
Neat graphics btw.
@judjudson @pres2300 Thank you for leaving feedback!
If I'm correctly guessing where you got stuck, in this level there should be destructable wall (marked with magenta cracks):

You can shoot it to destroy it, but before that you have to place a Pylon to extend the blue signal. Pylon has to be placed within blue signal tower's range. You should place it roughly here:

@bonedaddy Thank you for taking your time to play our game!
Having negative amount of towers is a bug that unfortunately we did not have time to fix. Game can sometimes place multiple towers overlapping leading to negative balance. They don't disappear, they are just stacked. You can actually collect them back. It is still possible to softlock yourself by placing towers out of reach though...
You absolutely nailed the horror part of the game! It really got my blood pumping. I only really wish there was something more to it mechanically, like ping usage having some negative consequences, or having a way to distract enemies. Game could also have a more clear path, looking for keys in a maze sometimes feels like searching for a needle in a haystack. But overall, well executed core idea, keep it up!
Very interesting concept. I haven't played anything like this before. Though at first i didn't know where ships were comming from. And also ships rotate instantly towards the light, which can make them crash after a slightest move of the light when they pass nearby a rock. It sometimes can be a bit flustrating, when directing ship away from a rock actually makes it crash. I like the ship variety. I also like how unergonomic the lighthouse is initially, it really plays well with the upgrades. Also the obstacle ship poses a good challange. Overall quite nice.
