The art of this is amazing. Sound effects too. And the concept in general is great. I'd love to see this expanded as post LD!

Really nice work on the art, sound effects, and music! The game had a really nice atmosphere to it. My wife actually brought up the mind when I told her the theme was "Depths", and I'm really glad someone took it that way and made a game out of it! My brainpower while playing the game was pretty low due to wrapping up my own entry so I didn't get too far, but I had a lot of fun playing your game. Nice job!
Love the art and the animations, looks and feels really good. The matching was a bit unclear as if the shapes are different and only certain match but I think the quality is really good!
the more i went the more i had to get the picks just right or i was losing. maybe some balance with that
Good game concept with great potential for scaling The visuals and atmosphere reminded me of Undertale, very cool!
Hey all thanks for the comments!
@sarellano Thanks for the kind words! I always tell myself I'll keep working on my jam games, maybe one day I actually will lol
@pres2300 Haha thanks, my brainpower was definitely low as well after the event, 48 hours is no joke
@angry-fridge The matching is all based on colors! I initially had an idea to show a shape/text upon activating the crystal to improve accessibility but ran out of time to do it haha.
@jcmonkey Aw, sorry to hear that! Certain upgrades will help some playstyles more than others, like increasing your max brainpower or your movement speed. The levels are random (but based on difficulty depending on the amount of abilities you unlock), so while I tried to increase the difficulty gradually, and keep the number of colors restricted until near the end of the game, I can definitely understand how it picks up fast if you're not used to this kind of game. Thanks for playing!
This game feels kinda good, especially sound effects, comfortable.
Wow, so cool interpretation of the theme! Love this art style, visual and sound effects! And music is perfectly conveys the atmosphere. Nice job! :gift_heart:
Nicely done, very thematic game! I liked a the music a lot but it cut off halfway through for me. Overall i feel like the difficulty/scaling could have been increased a bit towards the end but i had fun. Great work and thanks for the game!
@k1n @shadyshade @p1x3lc0w Thanks for the feedback and the kind words!
@p1x3lc0w The music cutting off thing is a bug haha, I found it out half an hour before submitting and couldn't fix it in time (and since it's not a game breaking bug, I left it as is). The music is supposed to change (more instruments) the further you go, but something seems to be off during the swap. Again, thanks for playing!
The sound effects and the cues are all delightful, it has that feel that just screams finished and intentional. I love the pick for the strong Cathode Tube Television effect, it made it further evocative and have a nostalgic vibe as the memories were being found, definitely a very fun game, I quite enjoyed it.
Very cool game! i love the visuals and the post processing, that's really fresh to look at. Twisting the memory game into a roguelike is very interesting too, and replacing the upgrades with memories is super interesting!
Very nicely made! I like how the upgrades are stories you remember, very nice way of making me care about a little story. I think there is not much to feedback on. If I'd choose one thing I'd really like a small walking animation of some sort. Also shame that music bug is not fixed in time. Very well done :100:
Very nice ! I liked the little pieces of story when upgrading. The graphics are very cute, and even if the character has not an animation the other part of the screen are so lively that it's fine.
Great job !
This feels delightful to play! Great graphics, feedback, I even liked the little story bits. If anything it felt a little too easy, but that's probably for the best for a jam like this  I like memory games so this was a hit for me. Great job
Cool game, I liked the visual effects, especially the upgrade cards. It was cool to get the glimpses of memory, but the crystals in a room felt a little random or out of place.
Nice little puzzler, the theme of using my memory to trigger her memories was a nice touch. My only issue is that I'm colorblind so the green/yellow and white/cyan were hard to tell apart. Otherwise, good stuff!
This was lovely, fun, being able to hold 2 pieces of info in my head at once? IN THIS ECONOMY! I liked all the playing around with text style and animation.
What a hidden gem, one of my favorite games so far - dare I say my favorite
On the technical front it's really an impressive achivement - the sprites and backgrounds are gorgeous. The shaders are really well done and used appropriatly - I liked how everything feels dreamlike, and the memories are really fuzzy. The audio was just incredible - every sound well in place, and the music touching (shame it doesn't repeat). The text system with all the effect is not original but really well done and added to the chart. I don't play tons of rougelikes so I'm not sure if it's your original idea, but I really liked tieing the upgrades to the story. I didn't really mind it was a memory game, and I really appricated the difficulty curve here - many games I tried are either too easy or too hard, but this one felt good.
I guess I can say that some animations and variety in the lelvels can make this even better, but it's really incredible whay you were able to make in 2 days. I really feel like with some development this can be a full game - I felt I barely knew the character the game is about, and she does sound important to the player character
A Memory of Her is one of the freshest takes on the memory matching game I've seen. An action puzzle roguelike game about recalling events and boosting your memory matching action stats. It feels like you prioritized balance in how the game escalated difficulty, and it pays off. It's easy to disengage from something that's too easy or be filtered by something that's too hard, didn't come close to either and felt engaged to the end.
