Amazing art!!!
Great art style. I feel like it needs another element of game play. At the moment it plays like a very slow twin stick shooter, but with stationary enemies. So I just kinda slowly make my way over and stand next to them while it auto swings. There doesn't feel like there's much to do, but I think it's definitely something that could be built upon
Nice job! The art is absolutely incredible. Character design is top-notch, from art, to lore, to abilities. Great take on the theme and a fun concept overall.
I agree with the other comment that it feels like there's "a piece missing." Moving too slow to really dodge anything, I did just find myself slowly chugging to get to the enemies. This is really promising and with some adjustments and balancing would really go to the next level.
Wow! Amazing Art and Music! The three characters makes it feel like an old school brawler, which was cool. I actually really like the concept of a bullet hell with multiple concurrent characters like that.
A few visual bugs, the text for the Arboarist shows as "Player" and doesn't ever change, and the text for the bag restriction never changes beyond 4.
Scaling is weird, every enemy feels incredibly tanky to start, but later every enemy dies by the player walking over them.
Aiming as the Sheepherd felt really weird.
It was sometimes hard to tell what was and wasn't an enemy, and where projectiles were actually coming from. Also, some enemies spawned off the screen. AI usually helped with that, but whenever the player is the only one remaining this quickly becomes dull as the player feels around the edges of the screen for the last plant. Speaking of which, the player can just walk off the edge of the screen. Like, a good distance.
The AI was immediately killed by the King Potato, consistently. Bosses have an insane amount of health compared to basic enemies, and don't seem to do much, outside of the Cornucopia. Because of this, the second and third boss feel quite dull, and probably would've been better off just replacing them with the Cornucopia boss again. Is there anything past the third boss? The game closed whenever I beat him. Not sure if this was a crash or intentional.
At one point I encountered a bug where I was controlling two characters at once. I was controlling one character whenever he died, and then I believe I was simply given control of the two remaining characters. There should probably be 1 central variable (i.e. Character PlayerCharacter = Character.Cheaper), as opposed to 1 variable for each character (i.e. bool ControllingCheaper = false, ControllingSheep = false, ControllingArboarist = true)
Overall very good work! I had a lot to say because I played it (I believe) until the end.
@cpt-slimers Thanks for all the advice! You did beat the game! We just didnt have time to implement a victory screen... I agree that the bosses feel a bit too strong, and the AI control system sometimes acts a bit clunky. It was probably the part of the game we had the most trouble with. Glad you had a good time with our game.
I wanna take merchandise snake at home! Amazing arts. You guys so cool!
The character design in this game is very good. However, the movement felt a bit slow and it was hard to play as sheepherd as it was confusing on how to aim his projectiles. Otherwise, good one!
Awesome character design! Agree with other comments about slow pace. Thanks for the game!
nice art cool
Cool art-style, gameplay surely could use more polishing.
I finished the game, really very pleasant, the feeling of overpowered when obtaining certain items is very pleasant I think! The movement speed seems a bit slow at the beginning, but with the right items or buffs you don't have this problem anymore
Absolutely great character design and art style, which is really cool. Combat-wise, maybe the actions could be a little faster, and when I attack I want more feedback to tell me that my actions are working. Overall, the finish is very high and it's a great piece of jams.
Pretty neat game, I really like the artstyle, given how short the jam was.
I think the combat is a bit too slow, and could involve the player a bit more (like say, having the player attack manually rather than automatically) and I found the AI to be a bit problematic - as they'd always rush the first boss and get 1 shotted.
But overall, it's a neat game and I enjoyed it :)
Game was awesome, contentful, sounds great, looks great, feels good. Nice job!
I love the characters, really nice, combat is fun if a little slow, overall I enjoyed it good job :)
This game was really good, the graphics are great and especially the music. It was very fun to play as well, I got up to the 3rd area although when I beat the boss my game crashed. The issues I encountered were that enemies were spawning outside of the area and on the 3rd area's boss, the music stopped looping. Other than that, amazing game!
Noooooo, the game crashed when I killed the Fruitbat :(
But really, guys??? HOW did you manage to make such a phenomenal job in just 72 hours? I am super impressed! The characters are funny, the art is very well done, gameplay is engaging, the music is cool... Oh my God, it even has a rogue-lite element.
When I bought a shotgun I honestly thought you misplaced a number in its stats, lol.
My only complaints are, well, the crash and that the text rarely fits the boxes in UI.
Beautiful looking game, floored by the quality of the asset work. Others have gone over my main critiques about the gameplay! A bit slow/simple, and sometimes unclear. But with the amount of aesthetic completeness that's here, I think it's still extremely impressive overall.
Art & sound design are amazing! I'm in love with your character design especially. It's really impressive for a jam game, not gonna lie, it's definitly the most complete game I played so far from this edition of the ludum dare
Really love the overall art style- the design of the three playable characters & the shopkeeper are so great. I tried 'maining' the Arboarist, I like how you can really feel your character get stronger between runs and that it isn't just a minor change. I did run into an issue where all of my characters died right after entering the second boss room and the game didn't progress back to the shop, so I was stuck on that screen. Overall though I really do like the style of this game + the music tracks are jamming! Great work!
The artwork is outstanding! It might just be how I chose to play the game, but it felt *really slow*. I probably could've upgraded more, but chose to just sit through the first boss with the range character.
I also got softlocked at the level 2 boss fight.
I recorded myself playing to provide extra feedback. I think the game needs a volume slider. It was ver loud compared to the other games I have played this jam, and because of that I didn't adjust the volume in my recording, so the music drowns out most of my commentary. my bad!

I definitely had fun, and I loved the artwork and characters. Very cute game. I actually had a little more fun when I fought the potato boss alone as the Grim Cheeper. Not sure if I missed out, but can you select your character at the beginning? Not sure. It was also a little concerning when I got an upgrade for the Arboarist and they immediately proceeded to run across the screen and massacre everything. I was like "Oh gosh, I've made a mistake--now the Sheepherd can't heal us!" It all worked out in the end! Amazingly well done for a game jam!
I can't get over how incredibly stunning the art and animation for this game is! I loved all the characters and their abilities, the power up system really made a noticeable difference each run - and gameplay was fun and well balanced.
