Pretty interesting game, I like your graphics and gameplay overall. I picked up a car to make an obstacle between buldings, but the reaper just went through the car. It was like, am I joke to you some car cant stop me . But overall it was really good game and its fits nicely on the theme.

Nice concept, which fits the theme really well. I had fun with it, but I think I would have preferred it as a god game (and it's fitting), where you don't have a character in the world and you just interact with things by clicking them. Still, it's a pretty solid entry, good job!
That was reeeaaally cool! I got to my protege to 73, and I kept getting surprised by how much stuff you put in this game!
I never got much metal to really bother to use metal barriers, the times I accidentally clicked on it instead of wooden barriers used it up enough. But the idea here is really cool and you actually managed to pull it off and use the theme really well!
I couldn't tell if I was right near the 'end' or if the world just stopped spawning, but there was this white wall not far off screen once the game ended. I was surprised by how easy it was until I saw the dude at the end and noticed that he had slowed down, which is lucky cause I was just starting to think of leaving. I'm assume they got slower and slower as the game went on, but you must have balanced that really well for it the game to end right when I was wandering if this game has an end!
This was pretty really fun 💖
Can't get better than 51, I recorded myself playing, you can message me on the Jam's discord @ Dark Peace if you wanna get the recording.
Sometimes I feel like the characters are going through stuff, maybe it's just the perspective but I actually don't know because it feels like you could softlock the Death if you do it right.

@reeceyboi ah yes the white border is were the world is being procedurally generated and it is moving with the mortal you protect. The shader looks a lot better outside of webgl but a white border is fine too i guess :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Really cool game! The music was really good and I like the graphics.
This is a great entry. It is a clever, well made take on the theme and it is fun to play. Nice job!

Amazing concept, the abilities took some attempts to work out but after that I was having a blast. The camera might benefit from being moved slightly more to the right so that more of the future level can be seen.
Nice graphics and gameplay. Controls are simple once you know what you are actually doing and gameplay is fun. Good job.
the game is very good, the plot is too unique, you can say super mega ultra cool, good luck to you, I really want you to win  3rH1ug.png
I really liked this game. Good graphics, interesting gameplay, but I think it is a little bit easy in the beggining, I wan't more hardcore from this project. Also I likes feture with auto. Thank you)

Nice game idea. And I really wanted to hold back the reaper and give the guy some time. Still, I struggled with the controls, probably as I am not a keyboard, but a controller/ console guy. Really good work. Very polished!

Nice nice! I die directly on the first game (age of 15) but then pickup the mecanics and age until 60years old, it was really funky overall!
Congrats!
PS: Would I love to have an autoloot on the items to not destroy my touch space on the keyboard and switch so much on abilities :P
its cool, I like the quirky art style and graphics. I love the concept

My guy made it to be 39! Which I'm looking at the comments and seeing is not very long! Hahaha. Very cool game, love the art style and sound design. Also really solid and innovative gameplay. The inclusion of this kind of collection crafting element is really cool. Huge fan, overall quality game.
I love the artstyle and the gameplay fits the theme perfectly. I managed to protect my protege for 92 years! (had some lucky rng with only two free tiles at one point and kept spamming wood  )
They got pretty slow at that age so I guess the difficulty over score grows exponentially which is interesting and makes it fit the theme even better.
It took me a while to understand how to gather materials and place stuff. The keyboard controls are nicely layed out though, so the playing itself went very smoothly once I knew what I was doing.
It's a nice game!
My dude made it to 86, then got stuck at a trash bin. Until then, he had a good run. Super fun game, unique idea executed well. Great job! :)

Nice idea and lovely graphics, but I'm terribly bad at playing it >_<
The item placement works really well and is a ton of fun. I like the low poly style and all the different models in the environment. Great take on the theme, the flavor text is a nice touch also. Keep up the good work!

Cool idea, i like how many things are interactable in this game. But I felt like there was a pacing issue. I glanced over the description to get an idea of what to do, but from the start, the game puts you on the spot, so I spent my time frantically mashing the buttons before accidentally placing a few and picking up others. In short, I think the game would benefit from a gentler ramping up of object density.
Cool game, but hard to get the controls down. They just seem unintuitive. Also, bumping the player speed a little would really make it more interesting to me.
Very interesting game and good take on the theme. I agree the controls feel uninuitive and would have preffered no character "god game" but still had fun and retried a few times to get higher score.

Very cool and fitting idea to the theme. Had fun playing it, the tension was very well-balanced.

I made it to 65 years :D I am pretty proud of that - loved how the character started slowing down as he got older. Very nicely thought out and a generally great fun game :raised_hands:

Pretty intense, I like the graphics and uptempo-vibe music. I wish it was possible to collect materials from trees by holding down space. My best score was 32, but I probably could do better. Fun game!
I like your interpretation of the theme, and the graphics are well done and cohesive. I think the difficulty could use some tweaking. Just by dropping barricades into chokepoints I kept the person alive until 89, at which point he was barely moving at all. Is there a difference between the metal and wood barricades, besides the resource you use to make them? Anyway, overall a nice, fun entry to the jam. Great work!

It was quite fun for a bit! For improvement I'd work on the character controller.
