Love the art style! Do note: In endless at least, if you right click and item, you can't close the menu, and going on and right clicking all the items just keeps making the back screen darker till you fail and can reset
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD49 → Perilous Potions

Potion Craft is a bit too much for me, so this was great! Loved the graphics and it was fun to discover the potions. Improvement could be better player feedback, like when hovering with an item over the cauldron. Good job!
It seems like a nice little game! I'm having problems closing the right-click descriptions though - it only removes the buttons so it's stuck on the screen and I can't continue. I've only got so far by trial and error.
EDIT: Hmm, seems like that's only an issue in the web version - the PC version runs fine :)
Loving the art style of this game, everything is so well done and stylised. The puzzles are great. And the music too - it's just right - not too distracting! There might be a few too many ingredients though, but I'm having a lot of fun playing it!!
I really like the mood ! But I'm a lover of Potion Maker Game. The chill music works very well. Perhaps the laugh is a bit irritating but it's not a big issue. Lovely game, good work ! <3
Really charming game! It has great atmosphere with nice art, animations and music. I think it would be easier to play if the item info was shown like a tooltip when hovered over.
I really like the concept and art, but I ran in to a bug that made it really hard to play through the game with out just randomly throwing stuff in
Bug : Trying to close the info box ingredients in any position other then the first one leaves the info box up but gets rid of the close button
I was playing on the browser version if that makes a difference
Cute little game (if we forget that repetitive laught that got on my nerve :s) but I sadly got stucked in the info box T-T I like the witch design :3
The art is amazing! I didn't realize that I could right click to get more info at first and thought I had to just randomly pick / memorize ingredients. Some more information more easily available would be nice but the game is still great as-is!
@wolfox121 , @pavocado , @rosymaple @pandore Thanks for giving me info on the bug! @pavocado is right that it was an HTML5 specific issue - but I've pushed an update and it's working on my end now. Let me know if you still run into it!
Very cute game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 49 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/IO7T3gBWVBc
Wonderful art! I blew up many times.
beautiful game! what bugged me is mandatory order of ingridients. orange is yellow + red, not red + yellow(orange love potion)
@katya-pavlenko thank you! Though I don't have the same issue - I can do either order. The problem may have been from selecting the wrong flower for the potion (Poppy's are for sleep potions, Geraniums for love potions).
I definitely could have done a better job explaining how to determine the potions and matching ingredients by looking at key words in their descriptions (Poppy's talk about sleep, Geraniums talk about attraction) but that's just how it goes with game jams lol
Ah! A fellow alchemy entry!
The art style you went with really lends itself to this, and you did a great job of giving the player room to learn and make mistakes. A fantastic and whimsical entry <3
I really love this game! Music, art-style, details, potion mixing and figuring out which ingridient to use everything works here, well done!
Nice game. In my humble opinion the only issue that I found since it is kind of a puzzle game is that you can brute force the solution if you have the memory to recall the order of ingredients.
very good game
The game is so beautiful! The witch looks really cute and I love the animations! Only thing is that you have to put the ingredient in an exact order, and this order is hard to make out unless you try again and again... Despite that, it's very lovely!
Good game!!!!!!!!
I love the art! I found the ingredient descriptions difficult to connect with the potion names, especially once all of the options were introduced. The jump in difficulty from the smaller tutorial puzzles felt a little overwhelming. But I like the vibe and I think this concept has a lot of potential!
Ooooo! I absolutely love the art style of this game! The gameplay was a bit confusing and I blew up way more times than I would have liked, but overall, it was a very enjoyable experience :)
So lovely graphics. And we had a concept about recipes too.
I liked this game. Very simple and cute graphics and interesting gameplay. I liked the drawn FX. The only thing at some point you stop understanding what needs to be connected. It seems to me that it would be possible to add a reference book so that it would be possible to repeat which ingredients have effects.
Love this game, good novice guidance
So cute! and you even set up a solid tutorial/onboarding!
Great art style!
Loved the game! Fun, Great art style and amazing animations! And it even has a tutorial! Well done! also it's awesome that you could achieve such a game alone! :)
The graphics are great. Simple gameplay but well done, good job!
Nice game, even more impressive when you realize that it was made by a single person! The art is cute and the gameplay is fun! The only advice that I would give is to either stop the timer when we read an ingredient's description, or to highlight the useful bits, because without this I felt a bit lost on the first level with every ingredients available...
Great job!
I appreciate the tutorial. The potions kept blowing up in my face :)
Lovely art and music, the mood is quite good too.
Congrats on a fun little game!
Nice looking, and nice mood. I like this potion game, but I don't understand why the potion blows sometimes with the very first ingredient, even if it seems to fulfill one of the expected aspects… I guess I'm doing it wrong  Good job anyways!
What a lovely game!! Potion brewing is perfect for this October Ludum Dare. I really appreciated the 'scaffolding' of the gameplay -- the fact that you are learning how to play while playing is really smart. The graphics are super charming and cute, and the music is perfectly spoo00ooky. 🧙🏻♀️
I've tried the puzzle mode only and I really like the tutorial, but the request of the potion I wish it was bigger or pointed somehow because it took me a while to see it
Some small suggestions: * When on the first tutorial the time passes, the message is the correct one, not the exploded one * The explanation of each element is nice, but for non-native English speakers it can be confusing with so much text, I would like much more a bullet-point list to understand what each element does * As mentioned above, have the requested potion bigger in screen
However, this is a really nice entry, fitting the theme perfectly, with amazing graphics and a super cool idea!! Great job!!
This game has gotten me into the Hallowe'en mood for sure! Cute music and graphics. I like the main mechanic in this, but I had a real tough time figuring out which ingredients correspond to which effects.
