Very beautiful game !

sidonie-go 2020-10-06 10:20

Thank you so much @bobparis75, I really liked to imagine and draw this universe and its little astronaut :)

human-writes-code 2020-10-06 11:27

I love this idea! And the character and planet designs are great.

The game play is very hard. I couldn't pass the first level. Getting between the two asteroids to hit the ship was impossible (for me).

It is a great concept though and had a cool vibe to it.

darkroasted 2020-10-06 11:41

Cute art style, great concept, but I also couldn't pass the first level. Maybe the controls need some fine tuning.

cookienoir 2020-10-06 11:45

Good drawing! Too loud sound at the second level :)

flying-basement-studios 2020-10-06 11:45

Nice graphics! I liked that on larger planets you have higher rotation speed and it has effect on your mevement.

blacklambert 2020-10-06 11:55

I managed to finish the two levels. At first it was a little hard to figure out how to use the space dash. After that the level was possible. But a few more levels would have been nice. (:

ms-annotation-x 2020-10-06 12:05

Nice game! Here is my feedback:

- I liked the music. - I liked the SFX. - I liked the main menu. - I liked the visuals. - I liked the mechanics of the game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - Levels menu/ selector is not scaling with screen size. [1]

- If there is something that shows where I am aiming, it will be a great thing. - Check the windows box on your game's upload, on itch.io. So, I can install the game, and play it using the itch.io app. [2]

sidonie-go 2020-10-06 12:56

@human-writes-code thanks for tyour feedback it's really interesting.

Trick for the level one: you can use your jetpack in order to reorient yourself between the planet and the ship ;)

sidonie-go 2020-10-06 14:40

@darkroasted @cookienoir @flying-basement-studios thanks for your feedback on the art:)

sidonie-go 2020-10-06 16:08

@blacklambert wahoo congratulation! We would have loved to create other levels  maybe later

sidonie-go 2020-10-06 16:15

@ms-annotation-x thank you for your complete feedback and your time :smile_cat: we fixed some issues and we will be still working on it.

bibicio 2020-10-07 00:37

Cool idea and smooth gameplay. The visuals were very cute. A little short, and I think there needed to be a waypoint pointing to the exit, but overall, pretty good!

eugenik 2020-10-07 02:50

Oh man this game looks and sounds awesome!

jakegilla 2020-10-07 05:23

Cool idea and great art! One thing that would be great to see would be clockwise vs counter-clockwise rotation based on how you aproach the planet. A couple of times i would hit the planet in a way you'd expect to spin the other way around, but it would snap back to the clockwise orbit.

etrealjunior 2020-10-07 09:19

I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection

azylmarillion 2020-10-07 12:39

Interesting game concept the feel good mood is perfect thank to the ambience given by your sfx and your art direction <3 But i have few recommendation a more permissive hit box should be lovely, maybe remove the reset of the right button i push it too many time inadvertently and the most important ... moooooooore level pls

thunderkerrigan 2020-10-07 16:32

Love the graphics. it's very cute  .

sidonie-go 2020-10-07 16:38

@bibicio @eugenik @jakegilla @azylmarillion @thunderkerrigan thank you for your feedbacks especially about the art I worked on. We are happy to read that you love our game

@bibicio you're right a waypoint would be a good adding the the game.

@jakegilla our programmers had a hard time trying to do that then we prioritize other features

@azylmarillion the reset on the right button make it harder and give you more credit for passing the levels :smiling_imp: . Furthermore, as students, if we have time we will try to design other levels :v:

mikesalyh 2020-10-07 18:17

That was a fun and satisfying game. I enjoyed the graphics and music: they set a very cozy space mood. After playing for about 15 min, I made it to level 2. (I almost won, but got defeated!)

My two suggestions: when I hit a planet, my direction should be preserved (clockwise vs. counter clockwise). That would let me strategize a bit more. And the players hitbox felt a bit large. Sometimes I would die, but I didn't see the astronaut touch anything.

Overall, fun game!

evil-as-shit 2020-10-07 20:39

Took me a minute to figure out that I could propel my self in space with the mouse click, should have read the instructions more carefully haha. Might have been easier to have one button for the jetpack but I'm sure you had your reasons! Would have loved to played more tho! I can imagine this game being zoomed out more so you can stragegize your path better, and with larger levels. Yall did good!

archimagus 2020-10-08 01:56

Very cute art. I gotta be honest, I found this one more frustrating than fun. Still I was able to stick with it enough to beat both levels. It's an accomplishment to get a game done, and you guys did a great job. It's well made for the most part. It was just hard to tell what was happening when and why I was getting reset to the beginning of the level. Didn't take too long to figure out, but was a bit frustrating to figure out what would kill me. Still, like I said, the art is great and the music was nice.

hugo1306 2020-10-08 17:43

Thank you @mikesalyh and @evil-as-shit for your feedbacks . Even the sound part doesn't belong to us, we are happy that the art and sounds got you in the mood.

We are aware that the player should rotate in the orbit in the direction he had previously and we'll try to fix it. Same for the player hitbox, we'll see if we need to reduce it because we still want it to be challenging

For the zoom/dezoom, we thought about this feature at the start of the project and wanted to make a dezoom at the start of each level to give the player an idea where to go then a zoom on the player to complicate a little the game but we didn't have time to implement it. We'll try to add it on future versions if we have time with new levels :v:

glaas 2020-10-08 19:56

I won ! 😁

A nice entry ! The music is very relaxing, although repetitive. It could have been nice to have the music uninterrupted between deaths. I love the art ! I see we both went for paper-like 2D haha

kharath 2020-10-08 21:31

Luverly looking game. Nice entry!

Positive: * Really cute art * Relaxing music * Nicely polished menus, etc * Good concept

Negative: * Seemed to die very suddenly when you went slightly too far away from the planets. Would be nice to let the player correct with their remaining fuel * Some death animation would be good to let the player figure out exactly what killed them * Art style was excellent but the background was very busy. Something more minimal would be clearer

nusan 2020-10-08 21:40

Good game, I like the visual, it makes a unique style with the white border. It was a bit difficult at first to separate good things and bad things and hitboxes seems very large. The goal was not clear at first (if you don't read the instruction on the itch page) and I was thinking that I needed to get all the drops. Once I understood the goal, it was pretty fun to complete. The meteoroids in the second level are maybe a bit too unfair and kill you easily, also you can often wait for a better cycle to pass, but then you are waiting and it's not very fun. Good entry and I had fun completing the game, it required some effort but not too much so great work!

iodi 2020-10-08 21:47

Music that you hear after winning is very rewarding! )

candlelight 2020-10-08 21:49

This game struck an excellent spot with its difficulty, in other words it took me a while to beat both levels.))) Loved the music, especially victory screen celebration one.

sidonie-go 2020-10-09 18:00

@glaas @iodi @candlelight thank you for your feedbacks we really enjoy to read you. The victory screen make us laugh a lot while we were doing it

sidonie-go 2020-10-09 18:12

@kharath Thank you for this complete feed back  For my part, I really enjoyed working on the art and I understanfd what you say about the background  For the animations of death, allas I didn't had enough time to do it ..

sidonie-go 2020-10-09 19:20

@nusan it takes me so long to put white borders everywhere  Congrats for completing the two levels

oddmes 2020-10-09 21:34

I liked the space theme and the pictures used. It would be better if there was a small map that showed the location and itself. I also liked the graphic design.

arktas 2020-10-10 12:56

A fun game, nice concept about using orbit as loop. An in-game tutorial (like showing command in menu) will be a must ^^. So sad that it have only two level too play, need more :). Keep jamming !

kr4ft3r 2020-10-10 13:26

Very pretty, in a cartoony way. The background adds some more artsy dimension. The speed of spinning on some planets can be quite thrilling.

It seemed too easy when I figured out what left click does and finished the 1st level, but 2nd level was hell, it took 20+ tries to finish it. Well thought of difficulty modifiers, how both jumping and using left click spends oxygen while meteors kill you.

I was late to submit my game (link on profile description), any feedback would be appreciated if you get time to give it a spin.

toccio94 2020-10-11 14:48

Cute game, the music was very cheerful.

I didn't understand why I died in the second level at first, maybe those purple "comets" could be more visible. They are also a bit out of art direction (too "blur"). Also, when you die some fast transition could add to the immersion, while now there is this hard reset that also makes you wonder what happened! The oxygen mechanic could also be tweaked in a more interesting way, for me it was never a problem.

The fact that you move with the jetpack towards the mouse is intuitive, but it is a very odd use of a jetpack, where you usually specify the direction of the propulsion. It's not a problem and it makes the game easy enough, but the feel of a jetpack was not there.

That said, the game works just fine, and it is polished enough, nice done =)

sidonie-go 2020-10-13 15:32

@oddmes @arktas @kr4ft3r @toccio94 thank you for your feedbacks :v:

@oddmes yes we also thought it would have been a good ideo but we didn't had time to program it

@arktas thank you for your encouragment

@kr4ft3r too bad you were late, I will go and check on your game.

@toccio94 thank your for your time. Allas I was the only artist on this project and I didn't had time to make the death animations.

tunahead 2020-10-19 14:05

The Game was pretty good, I loved the Artstyle and Music. Well...maybe the Background art was a bit too busy.

Other than that...would be nice to see the boundaries of Space...and maybe a little time after death to realise what just happened.

Other than that, nice little idea :)

anandhi 2020-10-21 11:30

The game is nice. The character art is good and the music suits well... as @tunahead said the could be something to make use realize we are dead or out.
