It was difficult, maybe adding in the controls in the description that you need to directional dash by holding up arrow. I was confused for a bit why I dashed down in the air.

I love the sound and the art style. Very well made! The idea of showing the controls before the game starts and letting the player figure out the controls before the menu shows up is cool. I immediatly grabbed my controller and wanted to use that. I think it would be awesome if the game would support controllers. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to make it over the first gap. I might be missing something (sorry). Let me know how I can make it over the spikes and I'd love to give it a another shot :D
Unusual game style. It is very good.
Nice game! I really enjoyed it. The mechanic is simple but fun. And Is satisfying reaching the end
Thank you for your feedback! Levels can be difficult, figuring out jump + upwards directional dash combo is recommended. I was able to add a bit easier introductory level and a primitive controller support before the countdown finished.
Cool game, I liked it, great art style. The dash animation makes the camera shake a little bit too much but is great anyways, good job!
Liked the color palette and general style. It was too hard for me though :/
the art looks really good, some of the best i've seen this jam!
The art is amazing! The controls were a little tricky starting off, but I slowly got used to them, Nice Submission!
Wow - this looks spectacular! Amazingly atmospheric (especially the city backdrops). For a first game, this is really, really impressive.
Only visual comment is that the contrast/brightness of the "start" and "quit" options on the main menu is a bit confusing, and I accidentally quit the first time. But I did really like that little intro/tutorial sequence, where you're falling. Super nice bit of polish - it's great that you went the extra mile to add this.
Controls could use a little tweaking, and I think it's way too difficult - I so wanted to explore the world more, but only ever got past the first screen once. Definitely put a few more hours in now that the jam is over to refine this stuff, because I'd genuinely like to play more!
Great visuals and nice idea. The mood is strong! Good Job!
Really nice art! Gameplay's good too:D
Looks amazing! Maybe that's just me but I find the controls confusing: to wall jump we need to press the arrow key in the opposite to the direction we want to go (in the direction of the wall), which I don't really find natural.
Sets the mood nicely, the gameplay is fun, and the art is pretty! Very difficult too. Over all very solid entry.
Sooo hard ! It's remember me my old Sega Megadrive :). Good job ! I would like to play with a controler.
Loved the tutorial gameplay into main menu transition. Didn't manage to actually get past the first obstacle though. My dash didn't work for me, though I might not have used it as it was intended. When I tried a grounded dash, the screen just vibrated and gave me the dash noise. Nothing else happened. The graphics looked sick though and it's a shame I didn't manage to explore the rest of the world.
Thank you for your feedback, everyone! I hope there will be future updates in my spare time.
Try to make the controls more balanced, and add more levels with a playable difficulty graph from start to the end.
Some tips for now:
-In most cases, just jumping is sufficient for repetitive wall jump.
-For ground spikes, jump then try diagonal dash upper right in the air.
Moody and beautiful - Really like it nice job! I struggled to get over the first jump until I realised you have to do the dash with the up key, I think I expected it with space. Apart from that, really nice work (great menu idea)
Really pretty game, I think you got the graphics and audio down pat. Unfortunately I think the game is too hard because the controls and hitboxes are very unforgiving - I often died on the second screen by barely touching the spikes on the wall, and controlling the character with the dash is quite hard. For your first game though, this is really impressive! Great work!
hard, but fun i like lighting soo much <3
The game looks great and has a fantastic atmosphere. But for me it's a bit too fast in certain areas. While the movement speed is fine, walljumping and gravity makes it too fast. Amazing work especially for your first game, you should be proud!
Awesome, I love the atmosphere of this game, the visuals and the soundtrack really set a strong mood. The intro especially is such a nice touch. I like the Celeste-like gameplay, although wall-jumping felt a bit flimsy at first.
Everything feels super polished, you've put a lot of effort in this game and it shows, I have a feeling you are not done working on it  Keep it up!
Hard to play but really nice game
I love it!
The art is amazing, I love how you managed to do something this good looking using mainly (if not only) green tones!
The music and sounds are great!
The feedback is pretty good (this shaking camera when dashing is awesome!)
I was a bit confused at first because I didn't understand the directional dash, but once I got it it was awesome!
The game is a little bit hard, but that's great for me, I love challenges like these!
Putting it on my list of favorites!

The Main menu Idea was superb. The over all vibe created via the art and sound was amazing. The dashing effect is very unique as well. I found the combination of 'C' and 'Space' quite difficult to use. Change that maybe. Good job overall.
a bit hard to play but i enjoyed it tho.. good job:thumbsup:
I love the artstile and the music. The controls are not very intuitive but the game mechanics are perfect. Nice Game!
Very nice graphics and palette. Controls definitely need some polishing. Climbing jumping from one wall to another like in Celeste was impossible to me, especially if there were some spikes in the middle. With that fixed, it could be an interesting game.
I simply love the music and artwork. Unfortunately, I found the controls way to difficult to progress, so I always died. Well to be honest I'm not good at this type of games. But the presentation is impressive.
Nice job! the controls really needs polishing but the rest are top  i love the ambient
Very nice game! I felt some Celeste vibes in controls and design. Nicely done! The only thing I'd change is the whole fading light feature - I didn't quite understand how it works till the last couple of levels. Good luck!
Super difficult controls fro me. Couldn't go beyond the first few steps.
Art is amazing. I just felt I am inside that world. I couldn't manage to go further from the first spikes. I think I am missing something, also game didn't teach me. Maybe a few tutorial texts could be great on the first level.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere, loved the way it introduced the controls, but I found the controls pretty difficult.
I really love the music in your game! :open_mouth: The game is a bit difficult, but, there's pixel art! And if there's pixel art, everything else is automatically adjusted! And great art btw! Greato Jobu!
The atmosphere is very nice, but the controls are over complicated imo. The combination of sticking to a wall + keeping the upward direction and wall jumping is way to complicated when it's the core gameplay on the game.
The mood is pretty good. I liked the graphics and the music... But the control makes it hard. If you're accustomed to more "classic controls" (ie Megaman X, for example) it makes your game feel like a rythm game where you have to precisly hit each keys. Read in the comment section you can simply keep up pressed make it simpler, but still... I would love to play again your game with a few modifications about that part, because the atmosphere was great. Your intro and your graphics makes it feel like it's gonna be a great ludum dare entry - which it could easily be.
The style of the game is top notch, really really cool and good looking. But I really struggled with the jump mechanic, sorry :-( But though I didn't get THAT far I see that this game delivers a lot of value and got lots of love. Thank you for your cool submission!
The way the game start is brilliant. I struggled a lot with the wall jumping, and was sad about it. Cause I really loved the art, the music and sounds, everything fits so nicely. And bonus, my favorite color is green, haha. Great work!
The atmosphere is very nice, congrats ! :)
The art is very good but the controls felt strange.
Overall I feel the same as most other commenters: The art is amazing, but the game may be too hard. I couldn't finish the second level. Mainly because of the controls, but I think the hit box of the spikes (or the player) could be smaller and more generous.
Also as a minor note, I didn't like the highlighting of the Start/Quit menu at the begnning. There is an arrow on the active option, but the other one is highlighted.
Love the style, very atmospheric. controls could be improved, but overall, I liked it :)
Pretty fun game with a wonderful mood, the focus is entirely on the light and the game becomes significantly harder when the light becomes dull.
I enjoyed playing it a lot but some things I noticed was when doing the third level that it was harder to jump dash to the left then to the right, it might just be my keyboard though.
Anyways great game!
First I wanna say that the graphics are very nice, the backgrounds are nice as hell. I do think that wall jumping is a bit annoying, especially on that first wall jump section in the tutorial, and the functionality of the dash is also very confusing at first. Nice game though.
The art style is amazing.I finished the game with a lot of death. The control is overall smooth but the wall jumping feels not so good. I think itself is OK when you get used to it, but it's too unkind to challenge the player with some extreme condition from the beginning. Maybe also because the level design is a bit too repetitive, and the most of the conditions are too similar. Overall it's a great entry, especially the green atomsphere.
