The game may be small but it's really well polished, straightforward and fun. A bit of a letdown was that at some point in the game (a couple of minutes in) the "sell" and "weed removal" buttons stopped working for me although they should have worked gameplay-wise. Nevertheless, a good entry!

WOW!! Somehow in the span of a jam with no budget, you made my favorite match 3 game! I'm not usually a fan of the genre but I liked playing yours a whole lot, the music was wonderful and made me want to harvest more spooky pumpkins. Love seeing the other jam games that went with a spookmonth vibe!! You guys nailed it :D

Really enjoyed this game. I would have liked a "total score" counter that didn't drop when buying weeds so I could see if I improved over multiple runs. Nonetheless an amazing entry!

I like the overall mood of the game. Graphics and sound fit very well! A very nice game for the upcoming season :D Good job!

Surprisingly fun game, and I can't resist Halloween-themed games. I wish removing weeds wouldn't have reset my next pumpkins though, I removed the weeds so I could plant them!

Cute little puzzle game! Would have liked a win condition, since I have no idea how well I did at the end of it all. Multiple levels could be interesting too, with bigger fields and more varieties of pumpkins. The weeds get out of hand fast! I enjoyed it though!

@selkkie thanks for the feedback! Right now it's just a competition with yourself to see how high you can get your score by the end of a playthrough, but maybe some sort of personal leaderboard would help convey that. :) Glad you enjoyed it!

I loved the idea, art and simplicity of the game! :)

I think All Hallow's Harvest could really benefit from an in-game tutorial (just some sign with controls maybe?) and I believe that the x3 sets could be destroyed automatically, since there is no bonus for manually pressing the button anyway.

Also, thank you for sharing the source!

Well polished game, indeed. As an addition, I would have enjoyed a way to track the progress. A counter of how many pumpkins I could sell for example.

Nice job overall!

Truly in the spirit of spooktober!

cdunham 2019-10-09 19:12

Simple but well made! It implements the theme well while also being appropriate for the season. Having the weeds as an obstacle that you have to deal with and plan around is very clever, it feels really hard to get rid of them and they extend the games playtime by a good amount.

An interesting game. The music set the mood of the game nicely. It was fun to play.

Great artstyle, and art overall, cool spooky mood and fun gameplay. The only thing i would change is some ledderboard to see how good can i get over few games in a row :) Really like it!

Great entry! I took me a bit to understand the rules, but it was worth it. The aesthetic and music fit well together and the matching mechanic feels very nice. The option to end the season before you _have_ to adds a surprising amount of depth. I'd love to see a more polished version with a highscore tracker.

Best game I played so far!

honey-pony 2019-10-09 19:25

Nice game! I completely missed that the pumpkins had to have the same faces on them the first time I played. Somehow I actually did better than when I understood that mechanic though.

One thing I found annoying was that the pumpkins you got changed whenever you bought weeding. I usually would clear a weed with the specific intention of placing a certain pumpkin configuration there and then I would be confused when it didn't fit.

One thing: you guys should add a link called "HTML5". Some people don't play games that don't have a web version available and because your game does have a web version, it would probably help you get more ratings if that was more apparent.

Very interesting! I like how you have to press a button to cash in pairs instead of how most match 3 games does it automatically. It works well with how the player generate trash parts that's in the way.

I think it would work well if you had multiple seasons and could buy more powerful weed removal but that only would activate between seasons in some specific way. Or ex have apple seeds, that take multiple seasons to grow and give more cash. Or mandrakes that moves around. Also, I didn’t realise that the pumpkins was different at first. Maybe use different vegetables, give them different forms, or colours. Anyway, great entry!

sethpaxton 2019-10-09 21:23

@khud0 Thank you for the feedback! There is actually a multiplier if you sell multiple types of pumpkins at once, and you're totally right it would benefit hugely with a tutorial (:

bethanyyy 2019-10-10 02:45

Wow this is great! The game's simple but super polished, nothing was confusing and I never got interrupted while playing, which gave me a really good gaming experience! And I definitely loved the music, it really established the mood XD. Good Job!

inferture 2019-10-10 03:17

Simple yet effective ^^ I liked the artstyle and the music fits very well with the theme :)

scott-steffes 2019-10-11 00:27

Love the theme, the game was very smooth to play and certainly fun from a puzzle game fan's perspective. Great art and atmosphere!

sawtan 2019-10-19 20:57

I enjoyed the music and graphics, it set a nice mood for the game and are perfect for a late in the year jam! The mechanics could have been added upon to give it a more thrilling experience, but as we all know, jams are short and it's hard to get everything in there in a few couple of days! Great job! Cheerz!
