Very cool game !

Loved the graphics and the cutscenes, the music is nice too and i particularly liked the little "jump" sound the slaves make. Good job, well done.

Wow. Awesome! A lot in there for 3 days.

gullyngames 2019-04-30 21:10

Great concept and well executed!

Fun first 2 days, went through the ground on the third (collision bug?)... Appart from the bug, nice platformer / puzzle game

mrnyarlathotep 2019-04-30 22:36

really nice compo entry - I lost all my dudes on day 3 at the section where you have to quickly alternate between the guy and his dudes to get through the doors while a rat runs along the bottom path, as my mind struggled to map use+left/right to up+down, but thats just because I suck, lol.

A few weird little physics glitches (like sometimes my dudes would fall through the bottom of a lift as I was raising it), and there was an invisible blockage on a central platform in day 1 and 2) but those are easily forgivable in a compo entry that has quite a lot of depth to it

Wow. A massive amount of content and for such a short time. Well integrated tutorials.

Awesome job! #wearefree

The controls are a bit confusing especially since the instructions were for the french keyboard. Nicely done.

loiclegrosfrere 2019-05-01 18:25

That's cool !! maybe I will prefer to bind space to use objets (e + q or d (in azerty) is really uncomfortable for use the elevators)

Very impressed with this! It kind of reminds me of Norse by Norsewest but with slaves instead of vikings :P Great concept that was well executed. Excellent take on the theme and a great amount of content for 2 days (clearly I need to up my level of productivity). I found a bug in the third level where I got stuck down an elevator shaft and couldn't exit with the main player. Attaching a screenshot. Excellent job on this! ChainsAndOre_bug.png

Looked pretty nice, was happily surprised by the azerty keyboard layout. Pretty extensive game for being made in 3 days. Some slight clipping issues I found in the game made progress slightly harder, I once got stuck on the lever at the tutorial. Great stuff overall.

I liked the concept of the game, definitely should use a controller. The WASD layout was slightly difficult to handle, but nothing bad. I always tried pulling the lever using up and down rather than left and right, but maybe some players just think differently? Great game overall!

The game is overall quite fun, with an interesting concept. It's really impressive that you managed to do that in just a week-end! Are you planning to release it as a full game? I think there's potential :-)

I have a few comments:

- In my first playthrough, I jumped with the slaves down the pit on the right of the start of the first mine, and everyone died. There's no way to know that there are spikes down that pit. This is especially frustrating because you can't just "restart" the level (you can, but you lose time and resources). - At some point in the first mine, I got the slaves up a lift and realized too late that I had sent them back to the start of the level, which made me lose something like a minute or two. This is quite frustrating. - It took me a long time to manage to get the slaves through this opening, because if you are too close to the wall when you jump it doesn't let you through, and if the lift is too high you can't pass:

- (just being picky now) pressing E and D at the same time is a bit cumbersome :P!

Congrats on making this nice game in one weekend! Nice graphics, story and cut scenes.

I enjoyed playing it, but sometimes I got stuck. I once got myself stuck under an elevator. In the tutorial level (very good that you have one!), I got stuck at the first lever for way too long, since I assumed up&down (W&S) would move the elevator... I should read more carefully. :stuck_out_tongue: It would have been nice to have some visual feedback that you are holding the lever. Also, somehow I didn't get that I had to hold E in order to mine (in stead of pressing E many times shortly), so that took a while as well.

It's a cool mix of adventure and puzzling. Very well done!

I like it, good job. Like other commenters E+D on qwerty layout was cumbersome. It was great that you had time to polish the game with tutorials and cutscenes. Thanks for the game!

Great idea, intro, tutorial and game mechanics. One think in tutorial that wasn;t mentioned was the "spider net" that you can collect?

kiv 2019-05-13 11:23

Fantastic entry! The tutorial looks like a full game for a jam

nate-wec 2019-05-21 12:10

Gave me a Oddworld: Abes Odyssey vibe. Love the simple pixel art. The tense mood is consistent throughout. The gameplay is fun. All in all, I like it! Only real critique would be making the text a LITTLE bit more noticeable, I ran right past the text telling me to press the buttons so my guys could come with (In the tutorial). Took me a bit to figure out how to get them out but that could be more my fault for running past than yours for it not being visible enough.
