Your link doesn't lead anywhere!
really looking forward to try the game but the link does indeed lead nowhere :/
Yep, same here, dead link
Oh ... my game was in DRAFT mode on itch.io -> I fixed this, now the link should work.
it works now. i liked the theme usage. Increasing difficulty on each level using theme is a good idea.
Awesome game, really well made too!
A game with great completeness. But do I have to take damage while fighting the zombies?
Cute game
Nice solid platformer! Art and music are good :) Pretty polished. Running and jumping animations look a little weird though. I didn't really like fightiong system. Seemed pretty random to me. It wasn't possible to deal with the enemeies without getting hit. My weapon reach was very short and the zombies pertty much hit me as soon as i get into reach. I ended up just hammering the ctrl-button. That way, I was dead by level 3. I love games like these, but they really need a good melee system to work properly.
Nice job nonetheless :)
i thought this game was fun -- i really liked the upgrades -- zombies were unfair -- thanks for making it
I am so impressed that you made this by yourself! it has a great feel to it when you play and the atmosphere is cozy. It's great that you keep progressing and it is rewarding to find new weapons/armor. If you continue developing it, I would love to see some puzzles as well! Would be fun if there was a way to outsmart the wizard sometimes so you didn't have to pay life to get deeper into the dungeon as well!
@duke You are right. The fighting system is very basic. But with the aspect in mind, that you may always take damage, there is the incentive to bypass the opponents. But if I contiunue the work on this project, I will improve the fightig system.
@belle Thanks a lot.
Nice entry! I like graphics and animations. Gameplay is simple, but it works well.
The combat wasn't really fun but I enjoyed the art style and overall mood of it.
It is quite good. But the motions of the character is a lettle be dull.Music fix to the game.
Environnement art is realy cool. The combat can be upgrade.
The jumping animation is kind wierd, and the fact that you can still move after finding an item without the pick up prompt disapear also, but overall is a nice and fun game.
This game looked nice! Cool level design too. The battling needs a bit of polish but that can be expected. All in all, good work!
Controls are little awkward.
And you did the same mistake I did in one of the past jams - making keyboard-controlled game with SUDDEN popups with buttons that can be pressed only with mouse. This is extremely uncomfortable actually.
@sun-wukong I know. I wanted to fix this, so that you can close the dialog also by keyboard, but the first attempt broke the whole dialog system and there was no time for a second attempt :-(
I think the fighting system needs knockback - i couldn't figure out any way to time attacks to avoid being damaged myself.
This game is super slick though, the graphics are excellent as are the controls. The items were a nice touch too!
Liked the animations and the concept of trading max life for progression!
@fiiction, @duke, @paulhocker, @listonos, @kaiomoi, @no-grapes-games, @scottyseus In the post jam version I worked a bit on the fighting system. Enemies have to "charge" their attacks (there is a visual feedback). So now you have the chance to attack without being hit.
@edevjogos, @sun-wukong In the post jam version I improved the dialog and item system. It is now controlable by keyboard and it will close if the player moves on.
Overall great effort, loved the subtle details like the "This is so sad!" on the death button. I played the post jam version (web) and honestly thing you should change the key mapping since on the web version hitting control + anything can bring up search features, select all ect. I also felt I didnt have much of a window to dodge and would of been nice if enemies followed a movement pattern rather then move into me when I get close, like if they have their backs turrned I could sneak into them, since killing them is nothing but an obstacle I had no real insentive to risk health and use the cool sword upgrades. I also feel that to make health a currency, there should be some kind of choice in order to make it such.
These are all improvements for future versions however and frankly as a game for a Jam, its fantastic, well done!

Hey, very nice game! I was pleasantely getting really invested in your game. I liked the upgrade system, it was like in old school action rpg games: they came at the right moment and felt very usefull.
Your level design was also pretty good. Some points were a little "meeh" but else it's fine. Also maybe you could have added like a sound and visual feedback on when we loose HP between each level. + maybe more NPCs here and there to tell silly story, it would have been cool ^^
Anyway, very good game and still simple, great job :)
Loved the character animations!
You did great. Music is harmonious and gives the game a good atmosphere.
The theme is well implemented. Awesome!
