This game gave me serious de ja vu. Mainly because I started working on a game a few months back which was really similar to this one. Though this game is easily more impressive than anything I could have produced at the time. The visuals are awesome, best looking game I've played so far. The music fits really well and the whole soda can theme is done really well. Only things that irks me is the occasional blind jump, especially the ones right into danger, don't use blind jumps in your level design unless it's meant to evoke fear in the player. Also there's a pretty major bug where the player will stick to walls allowing you to ninja your way through certain sections. But I still really enjoyed completing this game. Thanks for making it :)

That was really neat! I wish it auto restarted/continued, and wish there was an option to restart (like R). Really liked it!

Really well made, good looking graphics, fun gameplay. The only thing I didn't like was the slightly slippery movement, making it difficult to make precise jumps. Either way good job:D

Very nice entry. I really liked the graphics but think the game would have felt much more dynamic if you had added animations to the tiles, especially the lava. The movement seemed very slow for some reason but that might have just been performance of my computer or browser. The audio was pleasantly subtle (with the exception of the sound of landing on spikes, it sounds like cracking bones :grimacing:). I really liked the soda can theme but I think it would have had a nicer feel if it the movement had been a bit faster. Overall, a solid 4/5 stars :smile:

Good entry! I like the art and the music is very pleasant. The soda can exit made me smile, it's cute. Gravity is a bit sluggish imo, and I personally would enjoy some faster movement speed. Unfortunately with this mechanic, it means that you can (as I did) waste time going through a level only to find out that you don't have enough lives to finish the level, which feels bad. And then when I lost too many lives, I just kept suiciding to get a game over and replace them. 3rd time I just quit. Thanks for submitting. :D

While there was a lot of charm, and a lot to enjoy (I loved that you were trying to cool down a soda at the end of each level!), having a limited number of lives felt like a hindrance to the overall design of the game - There were a few times when I found myself unable to progress I simply did not have the lives necessary to progress, due to sloppy platforming earlier in the level. It was very frustrating to traverse through a level with a low number of lives, only to discover that it was impossible to complete due to a mistake from a minute ago.

Because the game was mostly testing platforming, rather than puzzle solving using the sacrifice mechanic, the lives never felt like a limitation which forced creative thinking, just a restriction which would occasionally force me to have wasted time.

This game made me wish I was better at platformers :D

Good art and execution and the slippery controls made sense for the ice cube. There was also enough different challenges with the mechanic and it felt it fit the theme well.

The platforming felt great to control and it was a good choice to add lots of checkpoints. But it can be frustrating when you can't progress because you don't have enough lives.

Interesting concept and nice art. I wish the player had some other interesting actions other than jumping in order to allow for some more interesting puzzles, but otherwise this fits the theme very nicely and is also well executed. There was also a bug that allowed me to stick to walls and jump off there, and while it is a bug, it could also be made into an interesting movement option for the game.

Dying in lava generating a platform for you to proceed on your next try was really cool. I liked the particle effects too, and the game controlled/played well with a nice sense of balance between difficulty in getting jumps etc and smoothness. Only issue I noticed was that platforms seem to disappear fairly quickly when you respawn making it a bit hard to get on them but it wasn't much of an issue. Good game :v:

I like the graphics and gameplay over all. Movement is a bit slippery but I think it fits well with the character being an ice cube. I like the limited number of lives, however would have liked to be able to restart the level (like pressing R) when I mess up instead of having to lose the remaining lives. Great game!

I like this game, all categories graded high. For this reason, I consider it necessary to report a few shortcomings, having fixed that could make the game even better in my opinion:

1) Some vertical challenges lose their complexity due to sticking to the walls of the hero, if you hold down the control key in the direction of the wall.

2) Collision mask isn't correct in some places, I was behind spike, but use "wallsticking" and didn't die and continued playning. (watch screenshot) 2.jpg

3) Mine damaged the player if u will stay over cannon.

4) On 4th level first fire-circle should install below. Because it's not static and is constantly spinning, player can catch it at the highest point and after block formation he will block further passage to himself.

5) Bug with game continuation. If I finished on 4th level and after this decided to start at the beginning, after entering the menu and clicking on continue, I still continue not at the level where I stopped, but at level 4.

6) The complexity and duration of the 4th level many times higher than previous. U should be divide it on two levels or cut. Also in the end of 4th no longer fits on the topic and you start playing super meet boy)

My english is very bad, sorry for it myself. I didn't want to seem rude and I hope you will turn this project into something big. Good luck and thanks for good jam-game)

This is a very well made game, I like the level design, feel and overall artistic look of it. In the last level I think it is okay to include "cheaps" deaths(like falling into a spike pit without seeing it from above) if you include more tries in the level. I had to retry the last level a couple of times(but that's just because I am bad at platforming). There is also a way to stay attached to the walls if you apply force towards them, I don't know if it is a feature or a bug but it meant that I could stop mid-fall by attaching myself to the wall and see what was below me.

Overall a very good and successful project, well done!

Congratulations ! The only "flaws" I saw are the short length (and some offscreen trap).

This game gives me an old retro feel. Reminded me of when I was younger and playing marble madness or smartball.
