this game is a nice idea. i would personally change the mechanic a bit, where the player has to bounce the ball around the ring and not let it fall. the slow player speed felt weird.

Nice! Loved the little orcs and the game felt nice and slick. I think I would have preferred it if the tougher enemies could be killed with multiple hits as well as powerful ones - at the moment it is possible for the ball to get stuck behind a row of armoured enemies and just keep bouncing around because it isn't powerful enough to kill them, while the weak ones at the front keep advancing.

I like this game, it feels like the genres should be mixed together as it makes perfect sense. I love the controls, they are not too sluggish and are spot on for this type of game. I know this is just a jam game but after fixing up the bugs (see @frostdragonliz ' comment) you could easily fit an entire RP story around this battle system !

Nice game and idea! But it was annoying when the ball got stuck, maybe add a way to reset the ball to the player.

Nice game, it was fun to play. I did thing that most of the time it was just easier to not bounce back the ball. You made mistakes quite easily by bouncing it while the recharge time wasn't so bad. Personally I would tweak that a bit, like making the ball stronger the longer it is in play or increasing the charge time.

Nice little game! I would probably change the mechanics such that you can still move even when you shoot. Other than that, fun game.

The visuals and animation were nice. :) Controlling the ball was intricate. And managing it well was key to success. :) I felt this combat system was hard to master, but had nice depth.

Cool game, got some use to to have a ball as paddle but it worked well. It took me a second read to understand i could actually aim which helped a lot. i would like that the little ball respawn a bit faster but cool idea for the theme

Pretty cool concept. I've seen a couple of mobile games that do something similar, though I don't think they are trying to stop advancing troops. Could become very fun with more polish!

Very cool concept. I really liked the little animations and effects, the sound and graphics are also pretty good. Took me a few minutes to learn how to properly charge the ball, but it's easy once you get the hang of it. Definitely had fun playing this, and I feel it could benefit from a survival mode, if you continue developing it.

Very cool game in concept and execution. Feels very polished for a jam game, however it can get frustrating when your magical sphere gets behind a strong enemy like a shield one and just bounces back and forth until you lose.

It feels really nice to play, like, more than expected with the gif!

A bit hard to handle at first, but it's really well polished and fun to play

I'm just now realizing, having looked at the gif for more than two seconds, you can move up and down. XD

Took me a while to figure out, but I like the balance of the charging vs. smacking the ball back. Definitely a fan of Breakout style games so this is right up my alley. Enemies could have moved a bit faster, or had different patterns. Maybe later levels have different enemy patterns? Wasn't able to get past the first one.

My one complaint is that the ball can get stuck going horizontally and never get back down to the paddle.

But it's fun enough that I'mma go back and see what else it has to offer. Good work!

This was fun and challenging. It took me embarrassingly long to realize that I could deal with the ball getting stuck by just sort of walking over and grabbing it. Because there is vertical movement in this game. Took me until the third level to notice. I like the clear definition of the different levels of charge and how they interact with the different enemy types. Predicting where the ball would end up was tricky, so I was thankful for the 'moving charge' upgrade. Good work!

A really great entry! The simple twist on breakout and solid graphics for a game jam game really stood out to me. I lost on the third level to the last tiny goblin that got past... those damn shield goblins kept tricking me into shooting my ball off screen haha. A really good game, I got hooked on it. Please develop this further with crazy skill trees and more enemies!
