Interesting idea, was hard to get the view right and easy to accidentally destroy a building.

Really nice job in the tutorial! I tried to figure out the game without doing the tutorial first and it was just complete apocalypse haha. Nice use of the theme and very funny sounds and vibe. I wish there were other ways to generate resource (doctors, firemen or police) because when you have few buildings the game just becomes staring at them slowly dying.
Dang! A real tutorial! Thanks! Also I make a terrible mayor. I like how it starts off bad and gets easier the closer you get to inevitably loosing. Its fairly unique.
The game itself could use some work on clarity and difficulty. It's a bit difficult to know what's going on and how to stop it. The game itself is very innovative and I definitely think it could be a really fun game if you decide to put more work into it! Good job!
Very hard to control and it seemed like half the city would be destroyed before I was able to send anyone out. I would love to see a more polished version somewhere down the line.
Hey hey, quick and easy tutorial. Dig it! Super hectic to start, I ended up intentionally destroying a number of buildings just to keep myself sane :P Agree, a little easy to accidentally demolish a building with a click. Overall, though, good job!
nice work, gets really hectic very quickly!!!!
I successfully demolished all the buildings in under one minute!!!
Man that went south quick!
Played a few times to get the hang of it!
At first I thought the red angry faces were fire, not sure what you could change it to but I had a tough time with it for a bit.
It's a nice quick play sessions though, I liked that about it. I had time to play two or three games vs one long one that didn't go well, so good job on keeping the gameplay scope just about perfect!
I had some trouble clicking the buttons in the tutorial, but I'm really happy you added one. I tried to play without and had no idea what I was doing.
I successfully demolished all the buildings in under one minute!!! * ME TOO hahahaha good game!
Interesting concept, personally I think the city might have been a little large because things quickly got out of hand and I had no idea how to control it, but maybe I'm just slow hah.
Neat game \o/
Well that city didnt live long. This is a nice little game. It could use a little bit more polishing but besides that it is a solid entry
I liked how quickly it became challenging and it fits the theme very well. The sound effects got way too repetitive and annoying for my taste. Nice work overall!
Like most people I think the balancing was a bit harsh but interesting game regardless.
Man, thanks for the tutorial! Interesting idea and nice concept. We made a town too in our game.
Great job in the game... Ours didn’t even have a tutorial lol
And we didn’t even implement the main mechanic
So we are left with this: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/$56139 I need feedback so we know if we need to continue the game and make it much better
Didn't really understand it and i'm not a fan of tutorials :/
That "ahhh" sample, my brain wants to explode! :) I read the tutorial in the end which would have helped to engage the first impact where all I could hear were screams of people who I couldn't help. I would change the initial camera angle to an isometric-esque perspective and would make the key assignments more visible. Also, starting with a town with all the three catastrophe types active at once was too much for me (I always disabled natural disasters and alien invasions in Sim City, so, take this with a grain of salt) :) Anyway, I had some fun playing this so thanks for making it!
Good idea, but the interface isn't very intuitive and the difficulty curve is insane.
Well, that escalated quickly! :D It took me a minute to figure out I could change the camera angle though... and the interface is a little rough, but heck, in the amount of time we have, it's hard ot polish an interface. Maybe make it so if you right click on a build you could choose what to dispatch, instead of pressing a button on the left?
It would be nice to have a different Input on destroying buildings and sending someone to a building. Maybe left mouse button for destroying and 1, 2, 3 for doctor, firefighter, police. The stuff spreaded to fast and to early. There was a tutorial but still the game didnt have a nice difficulty curve. The angle of the camera at the begining could be a good one instead.
I'm impressed you made a tutorial! Those are sometimes the most awkward things to create! I kept accidentally deleting buildings when trying to send people to sort them out though - I didn't even realise that was what I was doing until the end of the second playthrough, I just thought they were burning down or whatever. I really enjoyed the little cheer when you saved a building though!
Yeah, 10K points!
Sometimes it is hard to pick the right building, maybe you need to add some highlighting for building? Because particle effects can't do it alone.
Nice game! The difficulty curve grows too fast IMO, but solid theme + graphics + sound (found it hilarious) + gameplay. Love to see more!
Interesting mechanics, simple game but with a layer of possibilities. Congratulations.
Mecânica interessante, jogo simples mas com uma camada de possibilidades. Parabéns. :flag_br:
Challenging game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xx45BEcC9_s
