Nice Art and physics. I like this game, it's pretty fun, Good job.
@thefunattic Any chance you can export for Mac? I'd love to play but can't on OSX!
I can't play it, the file is .rar ! Could you upload a zip file too ? It'll be pretty cool
Wow, nice job ! What a fun, well polished game !
Besides a minor animation bug on rats, the game is flawless !
@SaFrMo This should work on OSX... If it can't, I do not know where that issue comes from :/ My build settings are set for Mac.
@lautregars A .zip file has been uploaded :)
Really intuitive game, 5 seconds in and I already understood how to play. The game is really fluid, everything flow together really nicely, the art is awesome ! I only have one issue with the key placement, when the game got really fast my hand started hurting, maybe you could give some alternative controls.
Congrats !
Simple and fun, good job!
An astonishing amount of work, your style is even too good for a LD game, so you definitely need to polish that mechanic and take it one step further. However, game crashed when I tried to bring the rat in during the tutorial, so try to keep that bug in mind. Other than that, everything is a perfect combination of nice graphics and original controls. Audio design was a bit too simple though.
Pretty nice game ! What a pleasure to kill this damn rat again and again ! The interface is good looking and effective !
The artstyle is definitely a strong tool in your game :) the music and sounds felt fine to me.
The only problem might be the mechanics which have some trash in them for some reason - when I have thrown rotten fruit into the machine, the game froze for about 7 seconds and then continued. Other than that, amazing work for a solo game! :)
Great sprites and animation. The 'main menu' got me surprised, great way to make sure the player understand the controls !
Great game. Couldn't win, but got to 50/88. My gamepad worked for left / right, but not the switch or lower commands. Excellent graphics and sounds.
Great entry ! Design is very smooth and sounds are great. Fit perfectly the theme ! I didn't understood why i lost, did the chrono ran out of time ?
@antoined73 Yes ! Thank you for your comment :)
I played it and it was A LOT OF fun! :) Beautiful graphics and i love this speeding up music! Great entry!
PS. If you plan on WSAD - W does not change grasper into smasher - so you have to use arrow keys.
Try out our **Voxel Mob Arena** here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/voxel-mob-arena
Really good jam entry and a nice idea. Onto the feedback: The game itself is fun, it even has a small tutorial to easily explain how the game works, the only thing I would change is to separate the switch from the grap/release part as in the beginning it could be misunderstood between switching from release/grab instead of switching the grabber, I only got it after switching it. Another thing is add the different kind of stages for rotten fruit so that a person knows what is considered rotten in your game(I see that it rots the one you have, but it takes too long and a player would have already started the game). Your objective with a game is to capture a player directly from the start, that's something that you do well, but in the first round it takes over a minute for the next wave of fruits to spawn. That's enough time for someone to exit the game and go play something else. Beside that you let players move with A and D, but W and S don't work for grabbing and switching. (Small bug probably) Instead of exiting directly with esc add a small prompt asking to exit, just in case someone clicks on it accidentally. Beside these, the art and the music are really good, really liked the aeasthetics and the mood created, well done!
I enjoyed the couple of minutes I played the game for, and I understand the hard work needed to create something like this!. Our team also worked hard to create a game for the jam. You can check it out [here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/jazzy-beats)! :whale:
Nice game dude ! 5 stars obviusly, I tryharded your game so hard !!
Realy great game. Simple but fun. The graphics are perfect, as well as the atmosphere. Congratulations!
Thank you all for your feedback !
@RobinHoodPT thank your for your constructive feedback. I will soon update the game, taking it into consideration. About the delay thing : it's a rare bug, you're unlucky to have gotten it :/ usually, each wave comes after 10 seconds of waiting. Try downloading the game to get the real experience ? :)
@thefunattic I had that one-minute-wait wave too on the first play, so I restarted the game after seeing that, I knew it wasn't something intended :)
The game itself is really cool, fast-paced and stressfull, didn't make it to 88 but trying to do it was really fun. The graphics reminded me of Little Inferno in a way, they fit your game perfectly ! The sound design is aimed to stress you, and it's working !
Put all that elements together the way you did and you have a nice game to play :)
Nice Game! simple mechanics but still nice to play, the only thing is that i managed to get the rat stuck in the left wall, otherwise good job
Ooh I really like the music, and how it is in the same rhythm as the countdown. I enjoyed playing, but I never got to 88, got stuck around 60. It seemed that the first time I played, there was no second wave and when I pressed Esc it unexpectedly (for me at least) completely quit the game. The screen shake adds a nice effect to the stomping (is it on purpose that the text doesn't shake along)? I missed a restart button. The artwork is really nice, which gives it a real nice mood! Congrats with your great game!
Very fun game! Nicely polished, beautiful graphics, cool music that sets the mood for moving fast. Really nicely thought trough. loved it!
Pretty good! I enjoyed it a lot, graphics are awesome and, even tho I don't like music in general, this one blended really good with the game. Over all it was a nice experience, congrats!

Very fun game! Nice polished!
Congratulations and good luck!
Wonderful art. I loved the whole style of the game. The gameplay itself I felt was a little repetitive but everything surrounding it was very well done.
Amazing art, somewhat reminiscent of the style of Tomorrow Corporation (Little Inferno, Human Resource machine...). I felt bad about squashing the rats as they looked quite cute, but they chewed through the food like nobody's business. That actually might be a slight criticism from my part - I saw no warning that they were coming and they immediately started chewing thru the fruit closest to the feeder. Seeing them come a bit sooner would probably be alright. Also, they ate the fruit if they just touched the food ever so slightly and the chomping animation hasn't even started, so maybe it could be on a slight delay. Similarly they probably shouldn't just go through the food when dropped on it, but they might be just squashing it, so that could be alright I guess. Finally the difficulty curve (and possibly RNG if there's supposed to be any) could use as a bit more love. The first time I encountered a 45 second delay in between the 1st and 2nd batches of food. The second time I got to around 55 with it working seemingly alright. The third I got at least twice as many rats as before or after and the fourth time it worked like the second and I got 84, so I wasn't able to finish it anyway  Grabbing a rat and trying to switch the tools as it was going up lead to deleting the rat.
I'd like to see a restart button/prompt. I see almost no reason for the initial downtime and the first batch could drop in right away and could be slightly bigger as I encountered a bit of downtime after smashing the rat and then getting all the food. My final nitpick would be that the rotted food could be a slightly lighter tint than just black so that the original lines of the art were visible. A physics enabled variant could be cool if the player could swing it from the middle without needing to move it to the right and could be super satisfying. That being sad, the animations make it cool as it is.
@SecretPocketCat
Thank you for your constructive feedback ! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
About the delays : sometimes the game starts with this bug, it takes insane amounts of time for the fruits to come out... This is indeed a bug which I can't seem to fix. If you want the experience as it was intended to be, try to restart the game :) new fruit batches should come every 15 seconds or so.
