Pretty fun game ! Enjoyed it :)
I lost on my first try because I didn't quite understand the mechanics, but I figured it out upon losing. Second try was a complete success. Not bad, but not very exciting.
I like the idea of this game, i think it fits very well the ludum's theme. Also the graphics of the game are cute and funny, but there is a bug that breaks the whole gameplay: even if i charge the robot batteries, the timer is not reset and the game will end with the robot fully charged! :( But hey, by making this game in less than a day you already made a great work!
Cute little game, not bad at all given the short time period you had. The graphics are simple but do the job, the gameplay fit the theme and is fun, so good job !
Pretty cool game. Keeping the baby asleep was very hard as holding E did nothing but everything else worked fine.
@kevin-borrell Yikes! Was it because the baby woke up? You have to balance both charging up the battery and keeping the baby asleep. If this wasn't the issue i'll definitely have to look into it. Thanks for playing and commenting :)
Not bad. Simple. Took me a few tires to understand what I needed to do. After that, no issues (crashes, bugs, etc). The text above the head was a little difficult to read. **Overall, enjoyed it! **
@chris-coe haha glad you figured it out! Yeah, really wish we had some time to make a "Controls" page or give a more thorough intro to the game. Thanks very much for playing!
@yvanor Thank you very much for trying it out!
@pixelformedstudios Thanks for playing! I'll have to look into that issue!
@snowschu Yay so glad to hear you enjoyed it! Note re: text above the head. Definitely going to try making a quick update to this if possible :)
fun quick game! it was really simple but for the time i was playing it it was enjoyable. it would have been great if there were more levels but its understandable since you had so little time atleast
Thanks @dubsol ! Glad you enjoyed it :)
I thought that was pretty cute and fun to play. I was a little confused at first since it looked like I was placing green bars on the floor (Didn't realize it was a countdown) and that it's not just a race against time to do everything before the baby wakes up (you just have to also take care of the baby too), but after that I really enjoyed it. If you ever continue to work on this, please put in those sweet sweet seconds of enjoying everything clean and the baby still sleeping before chaos breaks.
I clicked on the link cause the game looked cute. Nostalgia of my early years so it was quite fun, the game was quite challenging so not too boring. The graphics were efficient and extra cute! Impressive for being made under a day. The lack of music and sound effects was disappointing (but understandable). Quite hard to understand (I didn't understand that tasks didn't uncharge if you went away) and my keyboard wasn't configured right but after that it was okay :)
This game is pretty cute. I loved it. I learned the mechanics while losing - first by letting the power run dry, then by letting the baby awake. But I don't think that's a bad thing. I consider that is actually a very interesting way to learn any game. But then the third run was very smooth - as soon as you know exactly what to do there is not any challenge left.
It is a solid entry, even more being it a game made in less than a day. Excellent job!
@ciderwrath Ahhh yes, our UI can definitely use some work :'( One of my biggest regrets is how little time we could allocate to making the instructions more clear. Thanks very much for trying it out and for your kind words!
@ronan13 Thanks for trying out the game and I'm glad you still managed to play it despite your keyboard! Really happy that it brought you feelings of nostalgia :)
@lenon-kramer You having to take 3 tries definitely points out how the game needs clearer instructions, and I cannot agree more. Thanks for sticking through having to lose a few times before the mechanics were more clear! Really glad you loved it :D
Hey! Cool game. Like the idea and graphics. Fits perfectly in the theme. :baby:
I like the way you need to do some stuff and at the same time keep an eye on the baby. Also the robot is just cute. Nice game! :)
Great work, excellent graphics and good concept! I had a lot of fun playing it! Thanks!
Damn baby won't stay asleep! This is really cute, and I love the idea. I would play a full game on this theme. UI needs some work, I lost a couple of times before realizing what all of my tasks were.
Fun game, great job.
The mac version does not work for me (not because of gatekeeper). When I tried opening it, a dialog box says something like "Impossible to open. You should put it in the trash." o_O
@natrium729 have you tried moving the .app file into your "Applications" folder? If so and it still happens, I'll have to look into it, not sure what went wrong :/ Thanks for trying though!
Nice idea for the game. Makes so much sense with the theme of the jam. I guess it would make a good mobile game with more levels.
Thanks @surovyi, @hav24, @supremefist, @pedrowzee (sorry about the lack of instructions!), @russell-ng and @sophus-mit! Really means a lot that you guys tried out our game :)
The robo-nanny is so cute, I love how the heart and the way it bounces. :relaxed: It was fun and challenging trying to keep up with everything, nice work!
The game was good, the robot looks like the robot in my Ludum Dare game (LOL) The game worked pretty well, The idea was very nicely prepared Loved the Game Only the problem I had was that the player moves very slowly But the game went pretty smoothly
It was fun
Hi, I tried to play the Mac version but I could not open the .app file. It says it was damaged.
Pretty fun game. The juggling between running out of power, the baby, and the chores was pretty intense, which i enjoyed. The art is great, and thank goodness there was no baby crying audio. Really nice entry.
Thanks @celia14 @cursetats and @blobo for playing and giving us feedback! We appreciate it :)
Really funny game. I love how the nanny looks. Had a smile on my face while i was playing. Nice gameplay and you got the theme just right good job. would have loved some sound effects though, like the baby crying, would have added to the mood.
Moving the game to the application folder didn't change anything. :sob: I find it strange because it's the first time I see this message.
And it seems I'm not the only one with this problem...
@Natrium729 :( Really sorry it didn't work. Are you sure that you changed your "Security & Privacy" settings for the "Allow applications downloaded from:" with the option "Anywhere"? Yeah you're right, it does seem like multiple people are having issues with the Mac version. :sob:
Nice idea for the theme! I wish real life was easy to clean like this, lol! The game played pretty well in my opinion, although I was like most people who have commented and had to play a few times before getting the hang of it. I am really impressed on what was accomplished and the amount of time this was made. I could so see myself playing this on mobile while waiting at the Dr's or something!
The idea here is awesome. Music (and baby crying sound effects) is really lacking here. I also wish there would be a short minigame where you go and do actions, but the game is not about that - it's about running around trying not to run out of power (great implementation of the theme!) while managing a crying baby and performing house tasks. It's very fun, and I had a great time with it. Awesome job!
Hey, it looks really cute and I'd love to play it. I managed to open it on my Mac by using Terminal and following the link about Gatekeeper. However, when I open it on my Mac, the message 'Unable to find game!!' pops up.
Good concept that looked like it could have been pretty fun if you had had more time to polish it. Also I'd recommend that when exporting a Game maker game, export as either a zip or a stand-alone executable rather than an installer.
69/420 would robonanny again. Very lovely art but I didn't quite get the mechanics 100%
@korgo @omriysh @nanolotl @phantom-lab Thanks for trying out the game! I'm glad you enjoyed it and I really appreciate the feedback and comments!
@nanolotl This was my first time using Gamemaker, so I'll try doing that next time! Thanks for the recommendation!
@angela-he Sad that it doesn't work :( We're planning on fixing it sometime in the future but likely not before voting ends. The update will be on the itch.io page. Thanks for commenting nonetheless!
Nice little game. I like that the timing is balanced in a very good way. You can tell you put effort in making that right. Surprised you didn't make the challenges differ game play-wise!
Fun little game ^^ That was cool to play i hope that was cool to make too :D Thank you for this entry =)
