LD39 — Running out of Power

Pain That Binds Us by Jungle 2017-08-01T22:40:21Z

I'm speechless! One of the best games i have seen on this ludum. The pixel art is really beautiful, the mechanics are fun and i like how they change through the game, but without doubt what makes this game special is the storytelling. Love the evolution of the hero, and the story is so emotional. Very original way to use the ludum's theme and the idea was perfectly executed, so great job!

You made a great job!! I really enjoyed playing the game, it perfectly fits in the ludum's theme. Allowing you to manage and choose which systems you want to turn on/off in order to be more powerful or saving energy is challenging and fun. The graphics are awesome, i love how it looks with the lights, particles and glows that the enemies have. And the sounds are great, but i miss some kind of background music to increase the feeling of epicness! Congratulations!

Every Light Goes Out by sbeif 2017-08-01T21:09:49Z

As other people already said in above comments, the idea is pretty great and innovative, and the graphics are awesome, but unfortunately i don't have a webcam so i couldn't play it. Even if the experience would be way less interesting, would be cool to have an alternate game mode without the need of using a webcam, so we could at least give it a try! :)

I like the idea of this game, i think it fits very well the ludum's theme. Also the graphics of the game are cute and funny, but there is a bug that breaks the whole gameplay: even if i charge the robot batteries, the timer is not reset and the game will end with the robot fully charged! :( But hey, by making this game in less than a day you already made a great work!

Cosmo Beat by Super Shark 2017-08-01T21:49:17Z

The best way to summarize my opinion of the game is that i had an smile on my face from the first to the last moment i have been playing the game. Love how you have to focus on the music and sync with the beat to destroy the drones, it makes the experience super immersive and fun!!

As others said, while playing you never look at the right panel so you miss most of the messages and it's hard to keep track of the remaining energy. It can make difficult to understand how to refill the energy bar, for example. A little tutorial at the beginning of the game would be a great solution for this issue, in my opinion.

Congratulations!
