the graphics look pretty good much better than mine. I have a question for you how did you upload an image I couldn't do that... P.S. great game

gleb-mineev 2017-04-24 02:28

@laptor There is a small upload button under the text box, click on it, select an image and there you go.

It's like solving a Rubik's Cube while being on the Rubik's Cube. I love how much story is crammed into this very short game. It's worth beating it.

Fits the theme on multiple levels, including emotional.

drazil100 2017-04-29 01:16

I really liked the maze aspect of this game. Every time you go off an edge gates pop up and lead you in different directions. I wish the controls had been a bit better though and opperated on WASD instead of your mouse.

kristian-david 2017-04-29 12:11

I liked the idea of the game but it is not implemented well in the game. The controls is not that good but the audio is good. The background is good but the player sprite is not good enough for me.

quoclon 2017-05-01 03:30

I thought the art was great, but I struggled to understand what I was needing to do. As other mentioned I enjoyed the audio. The controls were the area that probably need the biggest improvement. I would opt for WASD rather than mouse clicking. I found it quite disorienting. A little more instruction on what you need to do, improvements on the movement would make this very playable.

Would love feedback on my game Sling Ship, if you get the time:

Cheers!

Looks like everyone is struggling with controls. Really wish to change them to WASD, but guess it will be against the rules.

doc-ill 2017-05-02 01:22

Cool game! Very simple, yet provoking. Seems that everyone has already beaten the dead horse about the controls, but a very good LD experience otherwise.

doomshmuck 2017-05-02 01:30

It took me a bit to figure out what to do, I didn't realize, at least not at first, that the objective was to move around to the different faces. It would have probably helped to have some indicators or something to serve as a "tutorial" to get things going. The controls were strange, as people were saying, but were serviceable once I figured it out, but again could have used some sort of explanation. There is something to be said for figuring things out on your own, but I think in this case it probably was needed to help get started. Besides that, the concept was pretty cool... I'm terrible at that kind of puzzle, but the actual puzzle was well executed and it was obvious what the end goal was as soon as I started moving around.

baby-dino-herd 2017-05-02 04:52

All the elements fit nicely together, and the puzzle was clear and intuitive how to proceed. At one point I got trapped by the spikes from all sides -- would have liked faster movement speed on a retry! Nice music and use of geometry, too.

buck-supergoose 2017-05-02 09:19

This is a cool game and has a really nice approach to the theme. The ending was really unexpected, but worth experiencing. I also enjoyed the game narrative and the mix of 2d/3d graphics. I also liked the way that the game taught you how to play very quickly. I found the main character a bit hard to move at first and thought the controls could be made a little bit more intuitive.

move127 2017-05-02 18:38

Its a really cute game. The art is good, especially the mixture of 2d and 3d. The music was a little repetitive.

The gameplay is the main thing I had a problem with. While the puzzle was not especially difficult, it is the kind of annoying puzzle where you can't really plan much out. After all, you can't see the whole planet. In addition, the controls were difficult to get the hang of.

It's a good LD entry.

schizoid2k 2017-05-02 20:46

Short, yes, but very nice. Maybe I'm just a spaz, but the movement was difficult for me. I also boxed myself in a couple of times, and had to figure out how to restart.

I liked the concept and the ending was great. It was fun to play

gleb-mineev 2017-05-02 20:57

@schizoid2k If you locked yourself you don't need to restart, press the button again - it will remove walls and reset some of the buttons. Movement was messy for everyone >_< It felt ok for me during the development, guess I should've shown it someone else before submitting =)

siridakis 2017-05-02 21:03

Nice game. Things weren't very clear to me and I had some problems moving, but everything was solved pretty fast. I wasn't expecting this ending, interesting touch!

gamesplusjames 2017-05-03 00:41

Short but really well done. Control was a little bit awkward but I got used to it fairly quickly. I loved the whole ending sequence with the messages on the screen. It was great stuff, nice job!

fouralex 2017-05-03 09:26

Thisis an interesting puzzle game! Good end, it is fun! I enjoyed playing your game, the camera works well (I had some issues with its movement in my game and I found your camera movement well made). I think I prefer some little 3d models than 2d images for character and environement but it works well in the ambiance of your game! Good work!

urban-logic-games 2017-05-03 11:06

Took me a while to figure out how to move and what I was trying to do, but it's an interesting puzzle. I like the mood of the game, presentation was pretty nice overall.

avavt 2017-05-03 18:10

The mood is really cool.

I don't like the graphic of the game because it hindered the control. It was quite hard to move where I want to. Near the end of the game it kinda bugged and my bot was floating far above ground.

The *game feel* though, was quite good. I was immersed in the world. It somehow felt "real" to me.

dgspitzer 2017-05-04 17:17

It's really cool 48 hours game! The music sounds like the robot is desperately sad and not gonna make it :joy:. Enjoy the gameplay a lot, even though the puzzle is hard ~~for me~~.

bumblepie 2017-05-06 07:58

I gotta be honest, I couldn't figure this one out. It had an interesting aesthetic with the 3D cutout style, but I think the main mechanic could have been explained better. I couldn't tell what caused which spikes to grow, or whether I was supposed to even be getting all of them green! I'd also recommend making the controls WASD or arrow control based rather than mouse based as it felt a bit awkward.

morbidcamel101 2017-05-06 21:15

The Good: The background and colors were beautiful. The puzzle made me work for it and it was satisfying solving it. The not so good: Think the controls could have been a little less forgiving. I would have like to see the cube grow after making me work that hard :) Overall a solid effort.

wujood 2017-05-07 19:47

Nice mechanics! I thought it was hard to figure out how to anything :D i often got stuck on a platform and couldnt escape or reset the game, but maybe that just because i am not a puzzle expert.

local-minimum 2017-05-11 18:42

Cool puzzle little planet you've created. I liked the humor especially the ending overly thorough in explanation screen. There was probably a way to be smart about the game and how to solve it but after I realized that:

Spoiler !> You can go back and click the original button so that you can actually visit all sides

It kind of became a nice walk around to get to parts without having to think too much about the puzzle. And that was nice. However it should be made clearer somehow that this is a feature. Especially since there was no obvious restart feature which would have been handy when I got locked into a dead-end first play-through.

Since it was a bit hard to navigate the character, I think it would have been nicer if the trigger zone for button activation had been quite a lot larger. In the same category, though the rotation transitions were really cool they were a bit fidgety to get right.

Never the less, I really enjoyed my second attempt at the game.

Really cute, fun, little game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8tza0thP_g
