Love the history, love the graphics. Nice work guys :D
That pixel art is cute and perfect. Loved the story, need more of that
Awesome pixelart and solid game mechanics. Story idea is cool too. Saw the killind ending too many times XD
Great art style!
I don't like simple click and adventure games but you have a nice story line. It is not finished as you have written in the description. I think you should continue working on the game. Good luck!
I am jealous of that pixel art. Such great pixel art, though it was lacking in movement animation. Neat story (stories). Could use some music though.
Really charming!
Awesome!
Add the walking animations and it will be damn perfect! :)
What is this psychopathe??? Oô
Great atmosphere, great game and (really) sad story. Nearly a masterpiece (but whyyyy).
Too short, but cool.
Really love the graphics and the story.
Great work :)
Nice idea, but rather short and it wasn't overly obvious I had to click the faces on my first try
Real pixelart.Nice work.in details
Love the story and the art style!
Good art. I like the idea of controlling the discussion to lead to victory but it felt a bit too much like trial and error. Gave it a couple of tries but didn't intuit the right way to save 'em all.
Wow! Clever idea with great atmosphere and visuals. I'd definitely play a longer fleshed out version.
Love this pixel art.
Remind me Curious expedition...
Add simple walking animations and you have perfect graphics!
Mood is awesome!
Lot of stories, but each one is maybe too short...
That's a great start for a great game...
Thank you all a lot!
I started to work on a post jam version. There will be Character animation and sound, and maybe i'll extend the story a bit and clarify couple things.
@zenmumbler You're right, but the solution which i had in mind was to complex for this short amount of time.. but there is a simple way to save them all ;)
Wow, this is really something great!
Loved the art, loved the storytelling, would love to see a full game of it with short stories coming into a big story like in Gods will be watching!
Well played! :D
Awesome pixel art and it is fun to play
Lovely visuals and story. Needs more audio but aside from that, great entry!
Lovely graphics and I really appreciate games with multiple endings. Good work
Nice work on the game, the atmosphere was really nice. Would have been even better with some sounds/music and walking animations for characters.
And quite easy to get to the Happy End in my opinion (and I must admit I didn't understand everything that has been said ^^).
But I really enjoyed playing this game ! Pixel art was really well done !
Very solid entry! I wasn't convinced at first, but after going through all(?) of the endings I found it an enjoyable experience. Would be really great with some SFX in it. Loved the animations of the daughter and the phone, great pixel art style!
Got the good ending after a few tries!
I wish this game would go a bit faster, but it's a cool branching thing. Good job!
I loved the art style and how it felt like a CYOA book, the story unfolding differently depending on your choices. I hope you keep working on it (a bit of sound, or even a rainstorm sound track could do wonders with the atmosphere, which was already good)
Great job!
Interesting, but confusing! o:
I'll try to be as constructive as I can below, so I hope I don't come off as rude or anything! c: I think this it's a good game, so I just want to point out what I had a bit of trouble with.
The reaction system was really interesting. I've probably just been living under a rock, not playing enough games, but I hadn't really seen anything like it before. The whole combination of selecting a way to react and then somewhere in particular to direct that reaction. An extended version of this mechanic would probably work great in a longer game!
Almost failed to understand how the game worked, heh. x: Good thing I decided to give it another shot after reading the description again, because I didn't realise it mattered where I clicked after selecting a reaction at first.
Even after understanding this, however, that feeling kind of remained. It would've helped a lot if there was some cursor above things I could interact with differently, and if I couldn't click at all anywhere else besides those things, because it ended up with me trying to be clever and picking different things around the room, but most of them didn't actually work differently... /:
A cursor would've also helped me understand to play the game much more quickly, even without reading the description, I think! c:
Was a bit difficult knowing what options to pick, and felt like some of them gave unexpected outcomes (the less angry option results in the gunfire, but the more angry one does not), so it was a bit of guesswork, but I suppose that might've been the point, so that I had to see a few different endings.
After failing a lot of times and rereading the description I saw the note about it being unfinished, so I was almost about to rate it anyway and as whether that meant that there was no good ending since you didn't have time to finish it, but I stubbornly decided to try two more times, and hey, I made it! Yay!
Mood is of course scary. I guess I felt like the good ending wasn't really good after all, and I would've preferred the timeout note (and an eventual breakup) to be the good ending, considering that if he has these tendencies to actually murder his partner, I can see those coming back later even if things remain good for now, and that's a really unpleasant feeling. /:
Lack of audio I guess is a pity, tho if it meant I didn't have to hear graphic gunshots and screams and whatnot, that's actually kind of nice to be relieved of, heh...
The graphics are very nice! Gorgeous lighting. And a very nice contrast between the lit and unlit versions of the room. Good, clear animation on the phone ringing too. And the thought bubbles were very easy to understand.
I know I might sound a bit negative, but I really think this is overall very good work, and I'm only trying to be as constructive and helpful as I can! c:
The only really big issue (besides lack of cursor) that I feel like I might have is the inability to skip text, since there's a lot of repetition involved after failing a few times.
Nice work!
Really nice pixel art and story. It would definitely like to see you continue work on this to make it longer, or make a new longer game in the same style :) Well done!
I had to play a few times to understand how the game worked. I guess the instructions could be a bit clearer.
I really like the aesthetics and the concept, plus it has multiple endings and it gives the game a great replay value.
I'm sure that when you had sound feedback, the whole gameplay will be a lot more intuitive. Ah, and also, for the dialogs, I guess it's always better to have a portrait of the person speaking (and a left/right alternance), it's always easier to understand what's happening and make it less painful to read :)
A really good entry, congrats!
Thanks for such great response!
@Avant-Mardi thank you very much! All your concerns are right and i've already fixed the most problems, i hope :)
About the story. It has 4 different endings.
Yeah! Nobody died!
The room has a lovely design (wallpaper, light, shadows) which brings you in the right atmosphere.
Characters could be designed more vivid, detailed.
I enjoyed playing. Thanks!
Great pixel art.
I wish there were more choices for players, not just two expressions...
Very nice visuals, really liked them. Would be nice to have walking animations for characters, and some sort of "higlight" when mouse is moving over interactive elements. Background chiptune would be great too (then again, I also ran out of time to make music in my entry, so...).
I liked playing to try and get every ending, and the art was very nice.
I think the game would've been even better with audio to really set the move, and more animations. Another thing is that there were quite a lot of spelling mistakes, so in the future it may be best to have someone else proofread.
Great job :D
Awesome pixel art. I love the story. I had fun playing it. Well done ++
Nice story and also nice pixel-art! Good job!!
Thi is really good point and click adventure with very good storytelling!
Nice work!
With the graphics i like the fireplace and lighting, nice atmosphere.
I liked the art style. Mechanics were a little confusing at first. The game would probably benefit from the addition of sound effects and background music. However, it seems strange that this kind of mood heavy game did not have any sound, so it might have been a specific problem from my PC.
Awesome art and a nice story. I wish there was a little more feedback to the clicks. I sometimes felt like I was just randomly clicking. Other than that nice work.
Great pixel art and mood, nice and polished game. I enjoyed playing it! :)
The graphics are marvellous, especially what you are doing with lighting.
If only you had the time to add some music and sound effects.
The language might need some polish as there were some typos and some sentences did not make much sense.
Overall it is very playable though and I got some of the endings until I figured out the right one.
Great job!
