Well it's certainly unique. Reminds me of carom billiards.

vini60 2016-12-12 04:40

Works on mobile, interesting. Game is simple yet fun tho

saurterrs 2016-12-12 07:34

Fun )

mattmatt 2016-12-12 10:33

I think the art-style is really interesting; the gameplay could have a bit more depth though. Overall, I think it's a cool game :)

neonian 2016-12-12 14:38

Got to 13

gdcvdqpl 2016-12-12 16:33

I really enjoyed some of the sounds. The controls are a bit disturbing... Maybe it is the point, but it feels frustrating not to be able to have perfect control over a box trajectory.
The graphics are minimalists, yet efficient.
Welcome back to gamedev' o/

szahn 2016-12-12 18:22

I don't get it but congrats on resuming game dev. JS is a great platform for game dev!

shillingburg 2016-12-12 18:33

it's great to finally be able to influence everyone's favorite DVD menu : )

dlweatherhead 2016-12-12 19:39

Interesting idea, and really minimalist. Like it's core mechanic, I do feel that the control and the way the box deviates needs to be better defined though, not for more precise control, just the way it works and feedback to player.
Maybe other level designs can up the challenge, or a cube you shouldn't touch. Nice room for growth with the mechanic.

avalkyrie 2016-12-12 20:12

Like another commenter said, it feels like playing a DVD menu. Strangely addicting.

timgarbos 2016-12-12 20:17

Nice little experiment. Would love some more control. Somehow.

rplnt 2016-12-12 20:32

Some of the color combinations/transitions are a bit harsh, I can see this being quite relaxing with a different palette. Also, I wasn't sure what was going on (I played it on desktop and everything seemed to do something), luckily sources are available :)

gene-z 2016-12-12 20:50

Fun game,, congrats

popica23 2016-12-12 22:01

Got to 11, simple and addictive, I like that

chaserbrown 2016-12-13 02:00

got to 53! it was fun! good job!

miggygman 2016-12-13 02:54

Fun and sort of relaxing to just zone out. Only wish there was more of the auto tune/ techno singing sounds, I kept restarting just to hear them again.

karlipoppins 2016-12-13 05:19

Nice game, very original mechanics! The controls were a bit tough but whenever I was able to connect when and where I wanted, it was very satisfactory :) If you had more time you could add some impact effect, perhaps some particles to make that moment a bit more crisp. Nice game overall :)

fishbrain 2016-12-13 06:23

An interesting experiment.

hawksandwich 2016-12-13 13:52

Interesting, and I like the music. There isn't much more to say about it, unfortunately.

ahmedmohi 2016-12-13 20:16

to be honest i did really get what to do , maybe i missed something i don't really know :(

alexramallo 2016-12-13 20:32

Some instructions would've been nice. Took me a while to figure out what to do, especially because clicking the game window didn't seem to do anything, and pressing space would send my browser scrolling down, making me think it wasn't even focused/accepting input.

I still don't entirely get how it works. I think I'm just supposed to kind of click around one of the squares to make it move in a somewhat arbitrary direction, but I do know that making them collide gives me points. However, I really don't have to do anything after clicking once since I can just leave it running in the background forever to get unlimited points. There's no way to lose.

Music was interesting though, and the art style was nice and simple.

atomic_swerve 2016-12-13 20:57

Thanks everyone! I should have prioritized some instructions, I didn't realize audio wouldn't play on some devices (including mobile). After 12 seconds you can "do something new" that triggers on any input. Sorry about that!

boltkey 2016-12-13 22:26

Very simple, yet it took me very long to get it. Not very polished and complete though.

One thing that I really didn't like is names of the files index.css and index.js. "index" is a name reserved for the default html page in a folder, and should be used almost exclusively for that. Conventional names for css and js files are "style.css" and something like "main.js", "game.js", "behaviour.js" etc.

bunn1e5 2016-12-16 04:07

Cool game, although the game play get's a bit repetitive after a minute

thescragglyman 2016-12-16 12:44

i wasn't really sure what i was able to influence as the player, so i wasn't very good at your game, but i did love the simplicity in motion of it all

dominisz 2016-12-16 12:50

I don't understand it :-(

lisnic1990 2016-12-16 19:28

nice but small)

eggplant 2016-12-16 19:38

An interesting minimalistic title. I had some difficulty figuring out what to do, but once I figured it out it was a nice relaxing experience. Good job.

falak 2016-12-16 22:26

Cool game ;)

chuigum 2016-12-30 02:49

Nice concept!
