This is a really cool interpretation of the theme. I really liked the flashlight and sound effects you chose there were very atmospheric. And I think the mood you were trying to create came across really well.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD32 → Lisa vs. the Tornado

Good mood, the flashlight effect is real nice.
And when you write about stuff you know it will be good - often.
Maybe a bit much text on each page sometimes?
Just split it up, but don't remove!
I had a plush toy named Doggily growing up, Hit home pretty hard. Good job.
Loved the audio and the flashlight effect. Your writing really captured the moments. I remember seeing my first tornado in person. It was terrifying even though it was far away.
Love the effects. It's always cool to see what people do with Twine, and I love the flashlight and the sounds that you use. I'm actually in Kentucky now, so that siren sound almost felt like it was rolling down my street simultaneously with your game.
Very atmospheric.
Excellent use of theme, and the presentation ties it all into a nice atmospheric experience. Thanks for sharing your memories with us in such a neat way!
The flashlight effect is awesome, really adds to the atmosphere!
That flashlight effect <3
I loved what you captured here. You have a strong grasp at creating atmosphere. And I love what you used to tie the narrative of the protagonist's life together.
This made me remember when I was visiting Indiana with my Father. We were staying at our friend's place and had accidentally locked ourselves outside. We were worried, but knew there wasn't much we could do about it, and decided at first sign of trouble, we'd just break through a window.
Everything turned out alright and we had some good conversation.
Thank you for making this!
Great twine game! Really enjoyed reading it. I like the "flickering" lights when you hover over certain words, however I discovered them accidentally. Perhaps if you made the spotlight that follows the cursor much smaller I would be forced to hover over each word as I read it which would ensure I would have my mouse over the interactive word and am reading them at the same time. Very cool, and very effective atmosphere.
That was chilling. Full points for mood.
Confession: I eventually ended up ctrl-Aing the screen so I wouldn't have to do the creepy flashlight thing, which is totally cheating, but that I felt the need to do it is a testament to the effect :)
Twine is a really nice tool, not just for game development.
Twine games aren't really my thing from a gameplay standpoint, but I did enjoy reading the story and considering my choices. The audio and flashlight effect definitely added a lot to the experience! I didn't see anything, but it might have been cool to be able to find different things in the darkness from time to time as the story progressed. Nice work!
I enjoyed the narrative quite a lot, it felt deep and personal. The flashlight effect was a really nice touch, I had never seen something like that on a twine game and it improves the experience(and also kinda tells your brain that this isn't a regular text-adventure)
I found the sounds to be a bit irritating, even after lowering my volume, I think it was because they were too high-pitched, but that might be just me.
The choices I made didn't really have a meaning for me, I was more interested in the "main story";the choices seemed too shallow and not very interesting, they "didn't click" for me.
What I really loved about this game was how narrative felt personal and real, great job! ^^
Very nice! I liked the different ways and experiences you used to cope with the tornado, it's really very insightful for someone who's never dealt with them. The sounds kept me alert and the flashing/flashing light made me more aware of the situation. Thanks for sharing!
Really atmospheric , the combination of the torch, weather and sirens works really well.

I enjoyed this a lot, thanks for sharing your experiences :)
Really nice atmosphere and story. Thank you for sharing. I included it in part 8 of my Ludum Dare 32 compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/Fg_0-yj__pU
Great atmosphere!
"Fullscreen for optimal mood." <- for optimal mood i also cut out header and footer. And changed colour of links to norm.
