Awesome concept! It was fun to play but it was too hard at some points. But the flapping sound almost made me vomit.

Wow, painful sounds! Implemented pretty nicely though.

sounds are indeed terrible, nice concept however :D

Having the bird flap at its own intervals made it soooo hard for me to control it. "Don't flap too much", the bird says. Why does the bird taunt me!!!

While frustrating, it's still pretty addictive :p

Cute little game. I think it's a little too punishing on the player to demand par or better on both flaps and hits though! It takes a lot of work to clear a stage.

Something felt wrong with the controls (or I didn't get it). Also the size is too big for my laptop's screen (768 height).
Nevertheless my daughter (just 2 years) really liked to watch my failure with the birdie.

Nice idea! I made it to level 4 but the game was pretty hard, mostly because I felt like my control over the bird was pretty laggy but I was expected to make pretty tight movements. I probably would have been able to play longer if it hadn't been for the flapping sound effect, which was quite anxiety-inducing. Clever idea though!

Shouldn't have locked down the levels the way you did, couldn't beat the first level so I never got to see the rest.

rudy 2011-08-24 12:43

Interesting concept, but too frustratingly hard, requiring lots of patience. I found the sounds quite comical, but I can see how they would annoy me by level 5.

What a great game! Interesting idea, likeable character, the crash noise was a little harsh. I had to play the first level about ten times before I finally got through.

Shadow 2011-08-26 02:29

Interesting idea. Although the game is damn hard. Maybe you could have let the bird flap only when the user clicks. Couldn't beat lv. 2, lol. I kept hitting everything on my way. Overall a nice game.

hamster_mk_4 2011-08-26 06:05

It felt like trying to thread a needle while wearing oven mitts. Remember not all of us had the benefit of playing it 100 times as it was being developed.

shigor 2011-08-26 19:18

"Due to there only being 5 levels(+1 super secret bonus), I made the difficulty quite high" - you know, most of us would probably prefer bit lower difficulty and more enjoyment... for me it was more exercise in frustration then game:(

kevinworkman 2011-08-26 21:20

That's a really great start and an interesting idea, but it would have been even better if you had a few easy levels at the beginning for the player to get used to the controls.

jedi 2011-08-27 02:56

OK, NOW I know how everyone else who played my entry felt! hamster_mk_4 nailed it. I really like the opening menu screen with it's animation and the bird following your cursor with its eyes.

matthias_zarzecki 2011-08-27 09:34

This is a nnice idea, but I think the scoring goes in the wrong direction.

Right now you are punished for excessive movement and destuction - But that is fun! I imagines this as a hapless bird trying to escape in panic, destroying everything in its path, which is much funnier than a precise avian leaving the building.

Still nice work though :-)

marudziik 2011-09-02 01:18

Way too hard. I mean, when average player isn't able to beat just the first level in less than 20-30 attempts, there must be something wrong with balance. That's a pity, because the idea itself is really good and the game looks nice.
Oh, and the flapping sound gets annoying quickly.

mactuitui 2011-09-05 05:59

I could not clear the first level after 20 tries. (Then I rage quit.) The automatic flapping made everything harder for no reason I can think of. That's a shame because the idea is nice and the engine works well...

Not real fun for me. I would have changed the controls to flap on click, and maybe some way to control the power of the flap (based on distance mouse-bird or the length of the clic?) and some way to reset the level with a key.

(I just tried again -to be sure- and made it to level 3. That's pure masochism from me :)
