| Oct 20 08:18:33 | Blackwater | ♥ 2 | Really solid game! It feels like a complete, polished experience, even if it's short (which is actually perfect for a jam!). I really liked the difficulty progression. The first few waves are easy enough to get comfortable with the controls, waves 3 and 4 gave me a bit of a challenge, and then I encountered the Flagship, which had its own unique mechanics that forced me to adapt again. The one thing I found a little awkward was the camera. It felt a bit too restricted, and I had to maneuver around quite a lot just to find a comfortable viewing angle. Though maybe that's part of the intended challenge! Either way, this is one of the best games I've played so far on this LD. Congrats on the release, and best of luck! | |
| Oct 20 09:44:56 | 1h 26m | Stardust | ♥ 1 | Oh my god, this is SO good! First off, it feels less like a game and more like an interactive painting. Everything is so smooth and relaxing, it's almost hypnotic. And it's ridiculously addictive! The sense of progression is so satisfying that I keep telling myself I'll try another game in a minute... and then I just keep playing. Well, I guess I know what I'm doing tonight! |
| Oct 20 11:28:07 | 1h 43m | One Bad Mushroom | ♥ 1 | ππππππππππππ Amazing! It's honestly impressive to see games this ambitious come out of a game jam. After this exhausting jam weekend, I think I'll spend the next one picking mushrooms instead. ππππππππππππ |
| Oct 20 11:49:53 | 21m 46s | Kamchatka | ♥ 1 | Probably the best game I've played so far when it comes to atmosphere and cramming an impressive amount of mechanics into a single screen. It feels so wonderfully cozy, I could practically smell the coal and tangerines while playing. Also, thanks to this game, I learned that Leningrad is apparently located in Kamchatka. And they say video games are a waste of time! The UI is a little confusing, though. It's not always obvious what affects what, and I wish things were a bit more visual and intuitive. But overall, I really enjoyed it! And that girl... somebody please tell her that practicing those kinds of gestures in Leningrad is a VERY dangerous idea. Untitled-4.png |
| Oct 20 12:10:51 | 20m 58s | The INNOffice | ♥ 1 | I spent the first 40 minutes just going back to where I came from. Then I realized that apparently neither the multifunction printer behind the door nor the old button phones count as old tech. The music is absolutely fantastic, though! I also met another guy who was working late at this same office. We had a little chat about how neither of us wanted to spend our lives trapped in an office, so we decided to start our own business β a small brick factory. After all, I've got plenty of experience now. Good job guys. Great entry. |
| Oct 20 13:32:05 | 1h 21m | Road Rage | ♥ 2 | I also have to give you extra points for realism. Even after finishing the race, the cables problems and the need to pet the cat don't magically go away. Just like real life! :D But seriously, I really loved how you managed to blend two completely different visual styles into one cohesive experience. And the animation quality is absolutely top-notch! |
| Oct 20 13:37:19 | 5m 14s | oldbot | ♥ 1 | Wow! This is literally one of those games I dreamed of playing as a kid! A badass robot made up of different modules, each with its own mechanics, a cool control panel, and tons of enemies to fight! One small issue: I couldn't figure out how to restart the level after losing. Refreshing the page does the trick, though! |
| Oct 20 13:54:19 | 17m 00s | ΠΠ΅Π· ΠΏΠΎΠ²ΠΎΠ΄ΠΊΠ° / Off the Leash | ♥ 1 | That minimalist mosaique on the Soviet apartment blocks, the endless mazes of fences, and ESPECIALLY the sound of the train awakened something long forgotten inside me. Something hungry, curious, covered in dirt, and convinced that concrete was the only substance the fabric of reality was made of. Congratulations, you've just made my therapist $40 richer. Jokes aside: this is a masterpiece. Very strong entry and a good game. A tip for aspiring dog owners: make sure you're wearing headphones when searching for your dog. |
| Oct 20 14:05:19 | 11m 00s | The Inventor | ♥ 1 | Holy shit! Is this even legal?! Did you seriously make this during a game jam?! This is absolutely insane. And I don't just mean it's one of the most beautiful and satisfying games I've ever played *in a jam*. I mean it's one of the most beautiful and satisfying games I've ever played, PERIOD. It's so good I genuinely feel like I should be paying you for it. Absolutely incredible. Hands down my favorite so far! |
| Oct 20 14:12:35 | 7m 16s | My Uncle Says I Can Make $1.000.000 on the Internet | ♥ 0 | LMAO! This is probably the funniest game I've played in this jam so far. Absolutely brilliant! I have two questions, though: β How do you know my uncle? β Is there any way to rewind time by 15β18 years so I can spend that million on Bitcoin? :D |
| Oct 20 14:26:05 | 13m 30s | Pigeon Post | ♥ 1 | Great management game! The UI takes a little getting used to at first, so the tutorial was definitely helpful! |
| Oct 20 14:31:46 | 5m 41s | Quiet Carriage | ♥ 1 | There are two types of people in this world: those who are freezing because of the draft, and those who are dying because it's too stuffy. :D Love the desktop companion idea! And a special thanks for the game within a game: the Staring Out of a Train Window Simulator. :D |
| Oct 20 18:39:40 | 4h 07m | Old Dam Shift | ♥ 0 | This was genuinely tricky to figure out! I have to admit, I probably wouldn't have managed it without the tip in the comments. Really interesting system, though! I just wish the interface were a little more user-friendly. |
| Oct 21 08:02:28 | 13h 22m | Rogue Battle Ships | ♥ 0 | Really interesting mix of familiar genres and mechanics! I'd absolutely love to play a full-fledged version of this, with different ship types, weapons, boarding crews, and all that good stuff. A few things I found a bit awkward, though: The fonts on the cards and dock upgrades are a little too decorative. I'd keep them for headings and use something more readable for the descriptions. Also, there's no UI on the main gameplay screen. Is that intentional? I never quite figured out how much HP my ship had. The progression map is a bit hard to navigate, too, since all you know about the upcoming stages is a bunch of question marks. Usually, a map like that lets you plan your route based on what's ahead. But that's more of a concern for a full release than a jam version, of course. Seriously awesome game. Great job! And hey, any chance you'd be interested in teaming up to develop it further? I'd absolutely love to draw some ships for this! :D |
| Oct 21 08:13:46 | 11m 18s | Polasnap | ♥ 1 | Your game caught my eye back when you were posting the very first screenshots. I even followed you to make sure I wouldn't miss it! :D Simple, charming, and really well done! One of the most relaxing games I've played in this jam. I'd probably add a simple four-frame animation to the creatures. Actually, you could even make it modular β separate legs, arms, bodies, heads, and eyes. Combine those with different colors and patterns, and you'd have hundreds of unique little creatures! Anyway, absolutely lovely game. I think this could easily grow into a fantastic little casual game to unwind with! |
| Oct 21 10:33:13 | 2h 19m | Ghost Train | ♥ 1 | Cute and stylish! I'm not sure if you intentionally made the vertical gaps so tricky to jump across, but it definitely added to the retro feel! :D |
| Oct 21 10:45:34 | 12m 21s | THREAT* | ♥ 1 | Okay, first of all, huge respect for such a clever and elegant take on the theme! I think this is the most original interpretation I've seen in the entire jam. And yeah, I agree with the previous comments β being able to jump onto platforms from below would be a very welcome addition! |
| Oct 21 10:52:42 | 7m 08s | Streets of France | ♥ 1 | Clever and timely! Huge respect for expressing your views through creativity rather than destroying other people's property. Now, where do I insert a coin to get access to the 18th-century content? :D |
| Oct 21 13:28:39 | 2h 35m | The Last Route | ♥ 1 | Okay, this is probably my favorite game in terms of gameplay out of everything I've played so far in this jam (and I've played quite a few!). Honestly, I can't find a single thing to complain about. For a game with this much complexity, everything is remarkably clear and easy to understand. But most importantly, all the mechanics work together as one cohesive system, creating an incredibly replayable experience. I'll definitely be coming back to this one after the jam to try out all the different route combinations. I'm seriously impressed. I really hope this game makes it to the top! |
| Oct 21 14:14:14 | 45m 35s | ScrapBoys | ♥ 3 | So stylish and beautiful! And the concept of building robots out of scrap is absolutely brilliant. I'd love to play a full version of this game! |
| Oct 21 14:26:21 | 12m 07s | Illegal VHS Dubber | ♥ 0 | Wow, the graphics are absolutely stunning! A solid 5 stars from me! As for the gameplay, I would've loved a little more interactivity. I think adding just one or two factors that affect the quality of the tape recordings could make the gameplay much more varied. And maybe the new movies could be hidden at first and unlocked as rewards for making good recordings of the previous ones. But of course, it's your game, and you know best! Either way, the visual style absolutely blew me away. Fantastic work! |
| Oct 21 16:03:50 | 1h 37m | The Abacus: Hellraiser | ♥ 2 | Absolutely amazing! Honestly, I already struggle just playing rhythm games, so I can't even imagine what it's like to develop one! It's incredibly fun to play, the rhythm is absolutely fantastic, and the melody is still stuck in my head even though I closed the game tab already. What's especially impressive is how perfectly everything comes together as one cohesive experience β the visuals, the music, the rhythm, and the gameplay mechanics. Everything just clicks! This is one of those projects that makes me feel genuinely envious, in the best possible way. Bravo! |
| Oct 21 16:16:26 | 12m 36s | Past Bedtime: One More Level | ♥ 0 | Amazing! The design and artwork are absolutely incredible. And the dual gameplay is such an interesting idea! It's fascinating how different each side feels to play. Fantastic game. One of the best entries I've seen in this jam so far. Wishing you the best of luck! |
| Oct 21 16:29:06 | 12m 40s | Coup of Appliance | ♥ 1 | Okay, I definitely wasn't prepared for Jesus. That was hilarious! Amazing game! |
| Oct 21 17:36:44 | 1h 07m | FREILOW | ♥ 3 | Okay guys, this is HUGE. How on earth did you manage to put all of this together in just 72 hours?! Easily one of the most interesting games I've played in this jam so far, gameplay-wise! |
| Oct 21 17:51:04 | 14m 20s | Meow Bomb! | ♥ 1 | The art looks fantastic, and I love the idea of a cat building an atomic bomb! I just also wish there was a bit more to do. It felt like it could be a bigger game after all. |
