| Oct 8 01:40:23 | Tiny Brigades | ♥ 2 | Very neat! I'm impressed you made a whole battle with cards in the jam. I seem to occasionally hit a bug where after ending a turn, the boss doesn't do anything, leading to an unfortunate soft-lock. Very neat, though! | |
| Oct 8 01:54:21 | 13m 58s | Medic Mayhem++ | ♥ 1 | Definitely an awesome game! The setup menu is a bit unintuitive on start... but once I got a proper game started, it was great! One thing that came up in my game is the AI truck kept driving over a block and getting stuck. I'm really impressed this has support for AI and multiplayer. Great stuff! |
| Oct 8 13:04:26 | 11h 10m | Quick Text-Based Game | ♥ 0 | I appreciate a CYOA where a majority of the options do not result in death. And yet I still died on the first try... Neat little CYOA game ^^ |
| Oct 8 13:30:13 | 25m 47s | Will It Run? | ♥ 1 | It's an interesting concept. I like that the alien changes color each time. It took me a few times to brute force my way through the controls (maybe just have them in the description as a just in case, I know it's a game jam.) I think there might also be a bug in the alien text when they're giving you a 'button' as the text seems to get cut off at describing the action they want. |
| Oct 8 13:35:39 | 5m 26s | Squirrel puncher | ♥ 1 | This game is evil. Don't punch squirrels... XD Otherwise, I had a blast. I love the art style on the pixel-art and the pop-art title card. |
| Oct 8 13:46:37 | 10m 58s | Hooverfield | ♥ 1 | It's a neat toy. There's something funny in the irony of turning a little Roomba into a Cloverfield monster X) |
| Oct 8 13:51:27 | 4m 50s | Find Tiny Monsty | ♥ 1 | It's a neat first jam ^^ Its definitely a functional 'find the target' type of game. |
| Oct 8 13:57:58 | 6m 31s | Koi | ♥ 1 | Very nicely done way of doing 'boids' as fish. It's visually pleasing and the music adds a lot to the experience. I think the percentage points is a little hard to read in the score, but I figured out the meaning after a bit. Nice jam! |
| Oct 8 14:45:12 | 47m 14s | Monster Maze | ♥ 2 | The two mazes are interesting explorations on the difference between wide corridors and tiny ones. Not sure I'm a fan of maze games on the whole, but the lighting mechanic (the 'fog of war' aspect) was really neat! If the lamp oil refills weren't so sparsely spread apart, I think it might be a little more fair. The enemies closing in definitely gives a creepy vibe once I realized what was going on. It's a nice touch |
| Oct 8 14:49:07 | 3m 55s | If You Give A Mouse A Machinegun | ♥ 2 | Props to the idea and game name. I just wish I could rate it. I love the little text tongue-in-cheek cop-out ending 😆 Thanks for a short, fun time :) |
| Oct 8 14:50:28 | 1m 21s | something | ♥ 0 | Will the game appear soon? Links? |
| Oct 8 14:54:40 | 4m 12s | God's new hobby | ♥ 0 | The text has some errors (the apostrophe specifically) and I'm not sure I understand what the controls are on the HTML5 version... |
| Oct 9 01:59:04 | 11h 04m | Bees Save Themselves | ♥ 2 | Very fun as is! I like the interesting strategy between the temptation to huddle vs the advantage of being spread apart. It's a very clever use of the theme. Only issue to me is that it's balanced to be too easy on the player. I played at least 5-6 times without any feeling of it getting difficult. |
| Oct 9 02:12:28 | 13m 24s | Monster Strike | ♥ 1 | A very interesting idea. I like the execution too, and the inversion of expectations with 'Tiny Creatures' as the theme. I think the monsters need to be sped up by a bit, as it takes a bit long for them to walk from building to building. It's pretty quick to pick up what you're supposed to do, which is a good sign the 'beginning level' is working. Also, a minor bug: the framerate started to tank hard when the monster started fighting the four tanks at level 3. I'm not sure what happened, but it got worse and worse the longer the game went, even after destroying the tanks. Eventually the music failed to play because of the framerate (I think) Otherwise, very neat idea and implementation ^^ |
| Oct 9 02:26:52 | 14m 24s | King of the Hill | ♥ 2 | An interesting game idea, well within the theme! It feels a bit bugged (no pun intended) with the extremely sensitive WASD camera and the pathfinding sometimes. Very neat prototype for a Jam though and I like the sounds and models! |
| Oct 9 02:38:26 | 11m 34s | Don't Touch My Sandwich | ♥ 5 | This was a lot of fun! Buggy in the right ways (pun intended)! Well done, especially for still in college! :) |
| Oct 9 03:06:04 | 27m 38s | Fallen Angel: A Larry Chin Mystery | ♥ 3 | Very solid and the art and character design is amazing!! Also, very creative use of tiny items as props throughout! Great job! |
| Oct 9 03:19:08 | 13m 04s | Turtle Shepard | ♥ 1 | This is a really creative and unique choice of game to go with the theme. It feels very personal too, with how specific some of the fail conditions are and how it's just near impossible to do it perfectly. Very neat entry! |
| Oct 9 03:38:59 | 19m 51s | Bunny’s Dusty Odyssey | ♥ 2 | It feels a lot like it could be a great mini-game in a Splatoon-like game. The music and the character models looked really on-point and colorful! It probably could have benefitted from an ending... unless I missed it after dying at like level 9 or so. Nice job! |
| Oct 9 04:45:23 | 1h 06m | Tiny Creatures Creator | ♥ 1 | Amazing graphics. Truly a grand use of the Unreal engine. I'm amazed you made something this visually beautiful in 48 hours. I can 'imagine' great things with this game in the future... |
| Oct 9 05:07:33 | 22m 10s | Wish Town | ♥ 3 | I think I broke the last part... I keep sneaking past in the woods and get to a part where the screen fades to black. At first I thought it was an ending, but it just stays black after reaching the 'exit'. Still, I like the horror aesthetic going on. ^^ |
| Oct 9 05:58:05 | 50m 32s | Rat Game | ♥ 3 | "Cool. We date now." "Yay" I love that the piano follows the dialogue. Thank you for making the game forgiving and letting you retry the level on death. The platforming is a bit rough, but I appreciate the effort in jamming this out 🐭 |
| Oct 9 15:57:13 | 9h 59m | Vortex of Life | ♥ 2 | The UI is difficult to navigate through, maybe because of a bug? Clicking on elements sometimes doesn't go through and I have to click around things, I think (?) However, the art style and the story behind rats experimenting on making a civilization in a petri dish is great! Maybe adding a little better explanation of the individual elements might make it easier to understand the consequences of choosing one option or another. Having only visuals and a wonky UI makes it really hard to know what's going on. |
| Oct 9 19:07:30 | 3h 10m | Who's Behind the Fix? | ♥ 2 | The intro part was neat and I dig the pendulum animation going back and forth with the wrench! And neat job implementing the point connection puzzle mini-game into your game. Works now without issue! Awesome job on your jam game. |
| Oct 9 19:18:05 | 10m 35s | Frogotten Focus | ♥ 3 | I cannot beat this one. It's a bit hard to aim and move at the same time and my muscle memory with 'Q' makes it way harder to hit 'Q' than to hit 'E'. Great job on your first entry, though! Especially as a compo! |
| Oct 9 20:21:38 | 1h 03m | Tiny World Mayhem | ♥ 3 | This was super polished and a lot of fun to play. Awesome job. The perfect jam project X) |
| Oct 13 03:52:23 | 79h 30m | Lost Orbit | ♥ 1 | It was an interesting little puzzle game. I'm impressed on how you made it for a jam. Great work! My only feedback is maybe to let the 'Q' command be available from the get go, just so it's easier to learn controls immediately and not have to trigger the specific tutorial bit that gets it going. |
| Oct 14 05:06:32 | 25h 14m | Candy Quest | ♥ 3 | This was a solid time with an RPG like game. I dig the art style of the candy monsters. Very creative use of the theme. Also, great extra by using Halloween as part of your game's theme as well. That's a great combination! |
| Oct 14 15:49:19 | 10h 42m | Farmer Friendly Ladybug | ♥ 1 | Nice and simple. Congrats on your first Ludum Dare jam :) One 'bug' I'll call out: the randomness of the 'pest' placement sometimes lead to getting multiple points just by the pests spawning right on the player ladybug. You could tweak that a little with a quick collision check first before placing, just to make it slightly more challenging. But otherwise, nice and simple. I dig it :) |
