Jan 9 20:42:41 Harvesting the Dark Souls ♥ 1 Whilst the gameplay itself feels a bit clunky and uninteresting, I think the concept of combining a rogue-like with the systems of Dark Souls is really interesting! Having to think about how to distribute stats whilst also selecting from a variety of upgrades adds a great layer of depth, even if the gameplay itself doesn't really express this as much as it perhaps could. The lack of ambience or music definitely diminishes the mood of the game for me, but I think the concept is really cool. I'd love to see this idea explored some more! :)
Jan 10 08:53:25 12h 10m Harvest all Humans! ♥ 2 Overall, really fun! I think the quirky artstyle really suits the gameplay premise, and the gameplay itself provides a simple yet fairly satisfying loop. I really appreciated how the types of humans developed and more and more started to fight back! The combat is a little one-dimensional, but I think the presence of the dash makes it a lot more enjoyable than it otherwise would be. Awesome work!
Jan 11 09:36:06 24h 42m Christmas Carols ♥ 1 This was really fun! Of course the Earthbound-style aesthetic is great, but I think the concept of a rhythm game built around going around and doing Christmas Carols for money is really interesting! I'd love if maybe earning money had more of an incentive, like maybe it could allow you to learn more songs or get better equipment, thus allowing you to make even more money. I'm not sure if this game satisfies the 'Harvest' theme very well, but I think this is a really lovely Christmas-y game!!
Jan 11 09:43:34 7m 28s Pseudo-Harvest ♥ 3 This is a really interesting concept for a puzzle game! It also manages to fit the theme really well, which is perfect. I really love the atmosphere of the game- you can really feel the tension and the anxiety when they come to inspect the harvest. I'm also a sucker for physics-based puzzles, which this definitely satisfies. Overall, awesome work!!
Jan 11 09:56:29 12m 55s H. (A Harvest Puzzler) ♥ 2 This is a really unique and interesting take on the theme! I love the idea that, much like The Witness, you're thrown in with no understanding of how any of the mechanics work and are expected to figure them out- I think that makes for some really interesting puzzle solving. However, I wonder if it could maybe be executed with the player in mind a bit more? What The Witness does really well is establish how each mechanic works through more isolated, individual puzzles- perhaps the same logic could be applied here to slowly introduce every tile type. Maybe you start by only being able to place one particular type of tile, and as you progress, you gain access to each of them. That could make the learning process a lot smoother, perhaps! Overall, this is really cool, and a solid submission! Awesome work!!
Jan 12 16:08:31 30h 12m Combine Competition ♥ 1 A very fun little game! A simple concept executed quite nicely- I think this has the potential to be transformed into something like a puzzle game, where you have to figure out how to score more points then the opponent on different levels. Awesome work!
Jan 12 16:17:37 9m 06s Mushroom Miner ♥ 1 Whilst very clearly rough around the edges, this is an interesting concept! I like the idea of having to assemble enough miners to break through and beat each level- I think there's room to expand upon some of these concepts and flesh it out into something really cool! Maybe there are different types of mushrooms you can cultivate to serve different purposes- say for example the miner mushrooms are out of reach, and you need a different type of mushroom to be able to get there! Awesome job!
Jan 12 16:24:11 6m 34s (Test) ♥ 1 This is really cute! I love the solid colour style, it's very charming. I'd love to see this expanded upon! I can see you exploring across different islands in space to collect and harvest different crops- maybe you're trying to reach your home planet, and you need to harvest the plants of the various islands to achieve that goal! Overall, great work!!
Jan 12 16:41:06 16m 55s Seven Favors ♥ 3 This was really fun! The controls are really responsive and satisfying, even on mouse and keyboard! It's very fun getting to learn the layouts of the two maps and figuring out how to best optimise a route, and the concept of having a limited amount of time to do so makes things really interesting. Overall, fabulous work!!
Jan 12 22:12:29 5h 31m Agricultural Ascension ♥ 3 Really interesting and challenging puzzle game! I love the laid back vibe- it feels like I could sink a lot of hours into this just chilling out whilst I solve puzzles. Fantastic work!
Jan 12 22:38:05 25m 36s Star Journey of a Little Fur Seal ♥ 1 I see a Spheal, I click. :)
Jan 12 22:53:26 15m 21s The Dark Forest and the Memories of Harvest, of One Autumn's Days ♥ 2 Whilst the gameplay itself wasn't anything groundbreaking, it's clear that wasn't the focus. The music, the unique visual aesthetic and the atmosphere achieved by these two things is incredibly potent. This is a very unique and thoughtful take on the theme, and you did a fantastic job!
Jan 13 00:25:43 1h 32m Fruit Market Express ♥ 0 A fun little multitasking game! The basic gameplay loop is simple but fun, and importantly, very easy to understand without a tutorial. The presentation is nice, and I like the music! Overall, lovely work :)
Jan 13 00:32:22 6m 39s Harkonnen Daily ♥ 3 This was very fun! As I think many people have said already, the fun of dropping humans into sandworms is certainly a highlight. A really simple but solid game!
Jan 13 17:05:56 16h 33m No Harvest ♥ 1 A really interesting idea! Feels very inspired by Inscryption haha. I really like the idea of having to cultivate and combine different cards in order to get stronger cards! The idea of the opponent also having random values of strength that within a range is also interesting, but I wonder if there are more interesting ways to utilise it. For example, maybe there's a sort of risk-reward to playing a total value of attack/defence that doesn't reach the cap of the opponent. Overall, great game!!
Jan 13 17:17:15 11m 19s Happy Piggy Farm 2 ♥ 1 A really simple but fun little game that surprised me- I was not expecting to get so emotionally attached haha. I really like how the gameplay gradually introduces new mechanics every day, and the idea that you're competing to survive keeps the stakes constantly feeling high. Then at the very end, when the only remaining opponent chooses not to engage in the game to let you survive, it feels a lot more powerful as a result. Great work!!
Jan 13 17:24:50 7m 35s Egg Egg Chicken ♥ 1 A fun little multitasking game! I like that everything is controlled just using the mouse- it makes learning all of the mechanics significantly easier. Great work!
Jan 13 17:31:04 6m 14s Pixel Art'Vester ♥ 3 Really interesting game! I really like the combination of a 'match the art' game with resource management- it adds an extra level of depth to the experience that makes it much more involved. I think a game of this style would benefit a lot more from a more relaxed and low energy aesthetic- I can see it being a great game to play and unwind. Fantastic work!
Jan 13 17:39:03 7m 59s Boxed In ♥ 1 A really interesting idea for an endless platformer type game! Music is great and the concept is easy to understand. Overall, a lot a fun!!
Jan 13 19:32:28 1h 53m Disassembly Line ♥ 2 A fun little game! The music and graphics are really lovely- I'd love to see this expanded some more! Great work!
Jan 15 15:54:05 44h 21m Red Owl LD 52 ♥ 0 An interesting game! The grid movement and fixed perspective is an interesting approach. I couldn't quite figure out how to actually use the materials I was gathering, but the overall presentation was good! Nice work!
Jan 15 16:01:09 7m 04s Death 'n' Veggies ♥ 2 A fun little multitasking game! The concept of Death just hanging out and growing crops is very silly and fun. Nice work!
Jan 15 16:08:06 6m 57s Aggro-Culture ♥ 3 Really cool game! I think I can only echo what other people have already said- fantastic polish and overall just a solid entry! I'm very interested in seeing this expanded upon- awesome work!!
Jan 16 08:27:15 16h 19m Dunix: Harvest of the Spice ♥ 1 Interesting interpretation of the theme! I've seen a few Dune-inspired games haha. Nice work!
Jan 16 08:29:55 2m 40s Open Seasoning ♥ 0 A fun little multiplayer game! I think this is the first multiplayer attempt at this theme that I've seen- solid work!!
Jan 16 08:33:00 3m 05s The Night Harvest ♥ 1 Very cute little game! I'd love to see some of the core ideas here explored a bit more- the day/night phases have room to make some really interesting gameplay. Great work!
Jan 16 08:54:33 21m 33s There Was A Day ♥ 3 A very cute visual novel with a good twist at the end! Whilst not necessarily on-theme, the Christmas theming was really nice, and the overall experience was solid! Great work!
Jan 17 09:06:05 24h 11m Farmula Grain Prix ♥ 2 Taking a racing game like this and developing additional mechanics on top of it is such an interesting idea! The polish and audio design is also fantastic- great work!!
