| Jan 8 21:47:17 | Harvest From Your Success | ♥ 1 | Yo! Excited to try your game out, but at the moment it lags horribly on my computer and I get the error message "LIGHTNING NEEDS TO BE REBUILT (79 unbuilt objects)" in the upper left corner. | |
| Jan 8 22:11:47 | 24m 30s | Fruit Picker | ♥ 1 | Lots of personality in this one! The idea is solid and the execution is quite good. The introduction of new elements after a few levels kept it fresh the whole way through and I think it's great how you included a level selector and an option for music and sfx volume control, that's going the extra mile during a 48 hour game jam! The physics were quite clunky however and I found myself getting frustrated a few times when boxes would fly away when I tried to drop them gently. Overall I think you did a really good job, this game feels like a complete package. |
| Jan 8 22:39:18 | 27m 31s | Desdamona | ♥ 1 | Let me just say, WOW! 30 seconds into the game and I understood that you're someone who knows his stuff. The art and dialogue animations are top notch, the counter clockwise mechanic is great (and I love that you have an in-universe explanation for it) and the music is beautiful. This game will do great. Amazing job! Also, this quote really hit home for me. I love it lovethis.PNG |
| Jan 8 23:01:38 | 22m 20s | Nesting | ♥ 2 | I like it! The graphics are nice and the controls feel good. I don't think loading excess twigs into the level end is a problem but one thing I would have liked is moving hazards, the big tree level didn't really have any sense of difficulty, it just felt like I was going through the motions. I do think the overburdened mechanic was quite smart and nicely implemented, it made the tighter levels require some planning. |
| Jan 8 23:04:58 | 3m 20s | Anguis | ♥ 1 | I mean... It's snake alright! I was waiting for some kind of twist 😅 |
| Jan 8 23:09:47 | 4m 49s | Parkour Harvest | ♥ 1 | The height of the camera relative to the collision of the character makes it pretty confusing as to where you're going to land, but I made it after a few tries! |
| Jan 8 23:15:12 | 5m 25s | Late Harvest | ♥ 3 | I actually love the graphics, they remind me of Yume Nikki and similar games. The music is fitting and the sound effects are good. I think this game would be a hundred times better with a much larger FOV though, as it is now it's quite hard to avoid the monsters when they suddenly show up, especially because the player character turns in hard to predict ways depending on where you're going. And one time a monster spawned on top of me 😅 |
| Jan 8 23:24:57 | 9m 45s | Reap What You Blow | ♥ 1 | Is there a time limit on the doors? I opened the second door but by the time I got there it was closed again. The idea is cool but the movement is a bit clunky and slow to pick up speed so it doesn't really incentivize replaying for me. Graphically however it looks good, the character sitting on an office chair is a fun and cute way to explain the movement. |
| Jan 8 23:33:23 | 8m 26s | KINDA FUN | ♥ 1 | Well that was a quaint little experience. Your description for the game is funnier than the game itself imo lmao |
| Jan 8 23:45:24 | 12m 01s | Wurmi | ♥ 1 | Very nice! The worm is sooo cute and the little yippee he does when winning warms my heart. The graphics are simple but coherent, the transition is great and the puzzles are good. Level 6 made me think for a bit. Great job! |
| Jan 9 00:07:45 | 22m 21s | Pig Polly | ♥ 3 | Good graphics and concept, the mechanics are well thought out - the tradeoff of eating a truffle for hp is interesting. I also like how you gain a speed boost for a short bit after doing so. I just think the game is way too easy right now for the mechanics to shine, hunters are easy to avoid and it takes a while for another hunter to enter the area so it was hard for me to stay engaged. |
| Jan 9 00:14:18 | 6m 33s | Snake Attak! | ♥ 1 | Making the snakes behave like THE Snake was a very fun idea. |
| Jan 9 00:26:25 | 12m 07s | CropsnTowers | ♥ 1 | First of all, congrats on making it on time! Secondly, I like how you welcome constructive critisism. While I was playing this game I did feel like it wasn't as engaging as I would've liked it to be. The idea itself is great actually, I just think it needs more variety. As it is now, the only engaging part is picking where to place your towers, but the act of earning money by placing the wheat in the box could've just as well have been automated. I think adding something on the harvesting side of things would have improved the experience greatly. For example, what if mice tried carrying off the wheat and you had to swat them away? Just something to add another layer of interactivity. |
| Jan 9 00:31:07 | 4m 42s | NITRO Combine | ♥ 0 | When I open the game I just see a field of trees that spawn in and I can't really do anything. |
| Jan 9 00:38:04 | 6m 57s | YO, HARV! | ♥ 2 | Now THIS is a great take on the theme! This game is fun and challenging, and if you lose you just get right back into it, I like it. I got 8 points and a RAGGED VEST! Hell yeah brother. The audio cues were a great addition, for me they were essential for remembering. One thing I would change is I would make the colors less vibrant, they're a little hard on the eyes. |
| Jan 9 00:46:40 | 8m 36s | Super Plant Farm | ♥ 1 | Good game feel, using the strong weapons feels great. My best is 11 points! |
| Jan 9 01:09:47 | 23m 07s | Solvate Rush | ♥ 1 | Love the graphics!! The mini games themselves are simple yet varied, some are harder than others to get first try but that's to be expected for this sort of fast paced mini game collection. I think a lot of people would enjoy a more fleshed out and polished full game version of this, I know I would. |
| Jan 9 01:15:21 | 5m 34s | Monster Harvester | ♥ 0 | Hmm, Itch page cannot be found |
| Jan 9 01:24:01 | 8m 40s | Out Of Sight | ♥ 2 | Wow this one really kept me on my toes! The difficulty is just right, it's hard but not unfair. I had to be laser focused to win and I love that. Gameplay, graphics, sound, music - every part of the game works seamlessly together to create a coherent atmosphere of dread. I especially like the music, it's the best track I've heard so far in this jam. Your use of the theme is also one of the more unique ones I've seen so far. You should be really proud of this! |
| Jan 9 01:36:23 | 12m 22s | Harvest "Harvest Simulator" Simulator | ♥ 3 | LMAO what a great concept. The controls are pretty hard to use though, I think it would be better if the hand simply followed the cursor instead of going in the direction the cursor is going, the first time I played the machine and hand disappeared off the screen and I was very confused. The machine also tends to get wrapped up in the hand. The music is pretty great though. |
| Jan 9 01:48:44 | 12m 21s | Bad Apples | ♥ 1 | Beautiful graphics and fun gameplay, all that's missing is a chipper tune to go with it. As Rockwell mentioned, the difficulty is well balanced. Great job on putting this together. And concerning your "Note for graphics ratings," you're just using a reference, nothing to worry about :) reading that actually made me look for the chomping animation, I wouldn't have seen it otherwise which is a shame because I love it hahaha |
| Jan 9 01:57:25 | 8m 41s | This is my Dream Job | ♥ 3 | I love playing as a responsible adult helping the younger generation out. The game was a fun ride and kicking the ball around was satisfying when there was a lot of kids standing up but I think it could use a lose condition to make it more engaging. I love how the teenagers push the kids around. |
| Jan 9 02:09:46 | 12m 21s | Sinful Harvest [NSFW] | ♥ 0 | With the title and description I was expecting something much more, I wouldn't even call this NSFW. I feel like you threatened me with a good time and didn't deliver on the threat :'( That aside, the mechanic is interesting and fun to use. It's extremely satisfying trying to gather as many people as possible around you while avoiding them as you watch the points go up. In my opinion this could really go somewhere. The sound design and animations are juicy, I can see that you understand game feel. |
| Jan 9 02:40:27 | 30m 41s | In The Rye | ♥ 2 | As badly as I just want to leave "BRUH" as my comment I have to say that this game kept me very engaged throughout. The graphics are lovely and the ending explained the story well. This is the most shocking LD entry I've ever played. I think it will get a lot of discussion going here in the comments and will probably get a good ranking as well. Good job on putting this together! I chose to live because he didn't do it consciously. |
| Jan 18 21:17:06 | 234h 36m | Space Harvest | ♥ 1 | The graphics are very nice, it sort of looks like a pixelated comic book which I really enjoy. |
| Jan 18 21:25:07 | 8m 01s | Imp | ♥ 1 | I really like the concept of this game. The imp design looks great and the walking animation has a satisfying flow to it. I wish there were enemies to avoid, right now it's a fetch quest without any engaging challenge but seeing what the witch was going to look like next piqued my interest enough for me to finish it. |
| Jan 18 21:31:19 | 6m 12s | Sticks and Stones | ♥ 1 | The graphics and animations are really good. I wish there were different controls for picking up items, going to the number keys to do it messed up my flow more than once. |
| Jan 18 21:43:32 | 12m 13s | Big Veggies | ♥ 1 | Nice take on a cookie clicker style game that matches well with the theme! The music was great and leveling up the pump felt very satisfying. I think more visual and sound effects would make the clicking action even more satisfying. |
| Jan 18 21:48:37 | 5m 05s | Apples & Oranges | ♥ 1 | Fun game with interesting mechanics! I like a good challenge but this was a bit too hard for me. After devouring all different fruits in an area it was easy to get roadblocked by the ghosts due to how their AI works. Still satisfying to play for a while though. |
| Jan 18 21:58:15 | 9m 38s | EarthWorm Bob | ♥ 1 | Fun game with great graphics and funny sound effects. The difficulty felt very balanced, there was always something to do which kept me on my toes but it never became overwhelming. After one round of figuring everything out I was able to beat it the second time around. I made it, because I'm awesome. The "hurt" face of the carrots was especially cute to me for some reason. Great job, one of the better compo games I've played this jam! |
| Jan 18 22:16:59 | 18m 44s | Dang Crows! | ♥ 1 | I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this! I thought I was in for a very simple affair but then the upgrade screen showed up! I like how many different upgrades there were and how they were randomly shown. The difficulty feels good but it could've been a tad bit easier I think, I wish there was a move speed upgrade. The enemy variety is great, quality over quantity. Were there more enemies after the mole that I didn't get far enough to see? The audio is good and the music as well, although I wish the loop was a bit longer with more variety. Overall I think you've made a great compo game, one of the most fun I've played this jam! |
| Jan 18 22:32:05 | 15m 06s | Propaganda | ♥ 1 | FOOOOOOOOOOD!!! The graphics and music work together to create an interesting mood, in a really good way. The concept is also good. As others have stated I think the game would do well with more variety, maybe different tests for giving away the food and water or "enemies" that you need to shoo away? When I noticed that you can pick up two posters and one food and water at the same time the game became a bit easier as I didn't need to run back and forth as much. The sound effects deliver their intent clearly and the little plus icons are a good touch. Nice job! |
| Jan 18 22:36:00 | 3m 55s | Whap Harvest | ♥ 0 | Very creative yet natural take on the theme! |
| Jan 18 22:45:13 | 9m 13s | A Farmer's nightmare | ♥ 1 | As others have said, very nice polish, especially on the scythe animation. I like how it swings from a different direction every other time. The harvesting sound was soft and unintrusive - which was very important seeing as how you harvest a lot of crops constantly - yet fitting. Difficulty-wise it's also well balanced, there were a few times I was almost cornered by the red crops yet made it out safe which made me feel engaged. The way the red crops spread out when you kill a zombie makes you have to actually use tacticts, something a lesser game would not have you do, which also heightened my engagement. And with funny text on top of it all you've got a great compo game! All that's missing for a better mood is a tune but I get if you didn't have the time for it. |
