Love the sounds ! Fun game to play.
Congratulations.
I actually love the graphics, they remind me of Yume Nikki and similar games. The music is fitting and the sound effects are good. I think this game would be a hundred times better with a much larger FOV though, as it is now it's quite hard to avoid the monsters when they suddenly show up, especially because the player character turns in hard to predict ways depending on where you're going. And one time a monster spawned on top of me
A fun game. Simple, intuitive interface — you can’t go wrong with that. I like the vibrant, painterly graphics as well. They match the mood of the music, which also has a lot of character. In terms of gameplay, it would have been good to see more variety — e.g. different areas and perhaps different monsters. But overall, this is a solid entry. Very creative.
I love the hero spinning ridiculiously while moving around, seriously! A fun game with fun visual and audio performance!
I love the style and the graphics. The scissors animation especially brought a smile. Really creative idea and I love the sounds too. Very addictive and fun!
Had a fun time playing, laughed at the sound the enemy makes. Good job!
You adhere to the theme really well and I was able to appreciate the graphics too lol, they were kinda funny. If only the camera was zoomed out more then this could have been much better imo. Thanks for sharing, I had fun with it :)
Cool artwork! I love the hand-painted look and the character's scissor animation. The enemies are pretty tricky to avoid, but the ability to teleport to the other side of the map definitely helps. That's impressive that you finished the game in just a couple hours. Congrats on finishing!
It is like a snake game with no tail isn't it? Love the coloured garphics and the eating animation :) Well done and the game is finished!
@sdelay You are the 2nd person I know to make that connection with snake. I didn't realize it when I was building the game though. In hindsight... yes it is kinda like snake with no tail!
i harvested 10 flowers! very surreal, tapping movement is interesting, but got tiring after a while. good job for a few hours!
Wow nice work with a super-short time! You did well to pick such a compact scope and then make it interesting through several different nice design choices: obviously the eye-catching unusual art style helps, but the less-common click-move controls also make it feel more novel than it would with WASD, and even though it's a small play arena I think your choice of a VERY limited visual range gave it a feeling of danger, suspense, and exploration that would have been completely missing if you had the whole arena on the screen at once.
Smart stuff, maximizing the experience of the small scope, well done! And the audio vibe really did well too.
Very surreal and trippy. Larger field of view would make the gameplay better, but the game would lose some of its charm then. Good job!
This game reminds me of the invincible snail that will follow and try to kill you for the rest of your life if you take the money deal
Really liked the game! The seeking movement instead of direct movement was pretty interesting and diffidently changed up how you needed to kite. Only gameplay thing would be, given that you need to click zooming out would be nice as it feels a little claustrophobic but like somebody else said it might lose its charm. Maybe a little bigger would be nice. Regardless really cool game!
Genuinely, unironically, quite fantastic. The art, though a bit abrasive, coheres well and ends up more charming than unpleasant. The mechanics, though simple, are satisfying and aided by good visual and audio feedback. On top of all that, the background music goes really hard and the sfx are great.
