Hmm, Itch page cannot be found
Hey @notaveerus, FYI the Itch link goes to a 404 for me
I did the same with my game by mistake! @me when it's fixed :D
Oops, publishing the itch.io page would probably help
It seems like it is working now. I just checked it out - very cool concept and it creates some interesting action dynamics to be trying to sneak past the attacks and hit the legs.
I didn't notice any indicator of enemy health - so I am assuming that when it freezes that is because I have killed the critter.
As you mentioned it does seem like it is still a work-in-progress, but it shows a lot of promise!
Fun! The gameplay is fairly simplistic, but damn if those spiderlegs dont look cool
The game crashed when ending, and it was hard to know if I was hitting the spider or not.
I liked the spider's movement I just wish I had more feedback for my hits. The game also just ends when dying rather than resetting, which was weird haha. Overall, fun! I liked the spider, it was creepy
Hmmm, It doesn't crash on my end. It should just keep spawning spiders until you die. Admittedly ran out of time to test so probably missed something.
@coatline fixed the itch.io link now
I like the movement of the spider, it is unique, not something I would dare attempt making in a game jam, kudos. I would have liked more feedback on when I actually hit it, especially when it isn't obvious which part of the legs are actually hittable. The illusion falls apart when the camera moves too far off-screen to where there are no more grass tiles and I also would have liked for the game to restart when you die. Add some more sounds, music, leaderboard, and polish overall and I can see this being a very enjoyable game!
Fun idea to create a simple IK project to learn from! The combat is fun enough for this initial version, and it kind of reminded me of fighting a Guardian in Breath of the Wild, where you can hack off individual limbs. Nice work completing the jam!
